I am attempting to sync iPhone with Outlook on a PC. It is hit-or-miss. Sometimes it seems to work, other times data is completely missing! Some data syncs while other data is erased.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you enter a calendar event in the Thunderbolt and identify its duration as "All Day" and also indicate that it reoccurs every year on the same day, when you sync with Outlook the event will span two days in Outlook - the date selected AND the prior day.
In my situation my "Date & Time" Time Zone setting is set for "GMT -04:00, Eastern Daylight Time." But when I view the event in Outlook after a sync, Recurrence shows the following information as an example: Occurs every February 21 effective 2/21/2011 (GMT) Monrovia, Reykjavik.
I think this indicates that something is causing the data to be entered into Outlook under a different time zone and showing it as an "overlap" in my time zone.
If I enter an event as "All Day" but don't have it recur, the sync works just fine.
I have had trouble for some time with OVI contact syncing. I use the online contacts view to edit and add contacts. I have noticed that most of the contact changes I make in the web interface (like adding an email address) are not synced to the phone. Today I added 4 new contacts in the web then synced several times, and just one was copied to the phone. The sync registry in the phone showed correctly that just one contact had been added to the phone. The phone is a Nokia E51 and I am syncing over WiFi.

Previously work had supplied all Blackberrys but were moving to HTC, but as I am a luddite who prefers buttons, I opted out and to go it alone. Initially I managed to set up my outlook so that everything worked well - outlook mail, calander etc was synced, and updated regularly. I did thisvia the blackberry desktop, rather than the BES, as I knew this was being discontinued. Then I went on holiday last week, and while somewhere in Germany, my work mail stopped downloading (my personal mail carried on fine). Now I'm back, and it still won't work!

It gave up the ghost a couple of years ago for some unknown reason and there were not fixes available according to IT.Anyway, I connect the device but do not find applications that will work. No ali or alx files to be found. The whole reason I went to this phone was because it was supposed to work with Outlook from what I understood, and get email.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have two email addresses registered on my Torch: my business and my private email address. I have set my business email address as default. When syncing with Outlook, it syncs with the default calendar in Outlook and doesn't take over entries I made on the phone.
I tried moving all calendar entries from Default and my private email to the business email address on the Torch but then while syncing it wants to delete all my entries in the Outlook calendar.
Sync with Outlook calendar/tasks (regardless whether using USB or BT) fails with error code 8004fd22 in Ovi Suite. N900 says nothing.Backups and contacts sync with Ovi Suite works ok.Sync used to work earlier. The only thing I've done is that I've installed the Hildon patch, that fixes the "jumping" phone answer UI (from maemo.org). Should have nothing to do with sync, but who knows.Ovi Suite is of last available version on Win7/32bit and N900 has PR 1.2.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have iphones and ipads and macs.In the past 2 weeks her gmail has become a problem only on the iphone.It keeps asking for username and password.I hit the threads and saw a "verification" link that worked for some.I followed instructions to log out of all gmail accounts on all devices, then went to her iphone and did the verification.It works for about 10 hours (sometimes more, sometimes less) and then we get the message again. All the while her ipad and mac are fine.I've compared my settings to her settings on the iphone and we are identical on major items.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently when I synced my BlackBerry with Outlook I found that my All Day Events listed in outlook appeared from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm on my BlackBerry calendar rather at the top like a regular All Day Event. Also my time zone keeps changing from Mountain (-7) to Eniwetok (-12) every time I sync. Does anyone know why this is happening and why my time zone changes every time I sync with Outlook? Also if I try to change the event on my BB to all day event and then sync it with Outlook the event on Outlook goes from All Day Event to 12:00 am to 11:59 pm.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI got my unlocked dual-sim 950 last week. All is good except for the new Outlook Mail app. It does fine with plain text emails, but cannot render HTML (web style) emails correctly at all. The formatting looks horrible and many items and images are just missing.
I read on another forum that this was due to the new Outlook app using MS Word as its rendering engine, rather than Internet Explorer, as was the case with Windows Phone 8.1 on my old Lumia 920. If the e-mail happens to contains a "view in browser" link, then it will open correctly in the Edge browser.
But many HTML emails don't have such a link. A decent email client should be able to render most correctly-coded HTML emails perfectly. Funny thing is that Outlook is supposed to be a Universal Windows App and it works fine on my Windows 10 desktop, but not on my phone.
I've recently got a new computer because of my old one suddenly died, I transfered over my iTunes to my new computer but my iPhone only syncs the pictures and nothing else so I can't put new music on it which is becoming a pain.

When I connect my Iphone 3gs to Wifi network and after a few minutes get out of the range of the wifi, then the 3g should work. But in my case when I turn on wifi and connect to a network and after a few minutes turn off wifi, then its not able to connect to the 3g network(Airtel-India) which is availabe and i have tested this on my android phones too, it work perfectly fine there.

With my wife, we got 2 BB Curve 8520 and we're now trying to sync both of them with our Outlook 2003 SP3 on XP SP3. Both do the same thing:
1/ First sync goes well, the BB calendar gets filled up,
2/ Everything syncs well during a few days,
3/ One day, the sync tells us it will delete 3000+ elements on Outlook, of course I click Reject and cancel the sync,
4/ I restart OK by synching one-dir from Outlook tp BB,
5/ A few days after, it returns to step 3 and is behaving bad again.
I can't get any durable solution, the only thing I got is a workaround that lasts only a few days.
Our BB version (mine/my wife's) :
- Platform : 4.2.0.118 / 4.2.0.135
- Application : 4.6.1.274 / 4.6.1.314
As I have noticed the last two days my speaker is set to high, but as I am typing my key clicks go from loud to very low then loud again and so on. I noticed some funky issues after 3.1.3 also my screen dims out once and a while is that a new power saving feature?
