May 5, 2012I have my FaceTime set up on both devices, wifi on full bars, but it says FaceTime failed when I call. I also call from both devices at once and it makes no difference. I know the information is correct.

Apr 15, 2012I bought a Sprint iphone 4 from someone who had deactivated due to he couldnt afford the extra data package; therefore the ESN is bad and not free and clear. I have a 12yr old son with Down Syndrome who had played with his sisters ipod touch and I thought we might be able to get him to like this one instead. When I showed him the Angry Birds game, to our astonishment, he took to it immediately. It is the first time he's ever played, and completed any game, ever. Needles to say what I bought for parts(I have a cell phone repair business) has now become his phone. Usually in these cases I do a complete reset, but instead, I have deleted all the prior owners personal information and reset up the wifi and my email info.
The problem I'm having is getting Facetime to work on this used iphone 4. Another daughter is away at college, has an iphone 4 with AT&T, and we would love for our son to be able to talk to the sister he misses so much. I have set up an account in Apple, followed all the instructions, and it never gets past the "Verifying"message then "Activation unsuccessful. Turn on Facetime to try again." We are utilizing Wifi and have a good strong connection, because I can surf the net and get into my AOL account.

Apr 21, 2012I activated my iphone 4 to tmobile from att. Receiving/making call and text works well. But iMessage and Facetime is not working with my phone number, it just sending with my email address!I tried to change the receiving address to phone number but on my phone (setting-message-iMessage section), phone number bar is showing as verifying; same as on Facetime. Also its gray out and not possible to tab though. And finally verifying status changes to error... Even though my phone number seems as correct format with +1-XXX-XXX-XXXX. I have ios5.1 with 4.12.01?

May 14, 2011I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

After reactivation, I tried to set up email so she could check her Hotmail, but the setup wizard only shows one option - enterprise email through Exchange. I know when I use to use the Storm myself, I had both Hotmail and a POP email account set up with no problems. Is this a device issue or a carrier issue? I had Bell activate the Storm on a minimal (200MB) BlackBerry data plan and the phone seems to work fine (as a phone, at least!)

When i entered the email set up program it prompted me to update from 6.10.1119.1125 to 6.11.0324.1701. After this i rebooted the device and tried to setup my email. When I enter the email setup program it "hangs" on "checking for updates" or sometimes "checking settings" . It will not go past this screen and I am unable to set up my email. Ok doesn't that really avoid having the ability to chat via video anywhere as advertised. Aug 10, 2010Hey guys I have a question. Me and my cousin both have iPhone 4s, both jailbroken and both have my3g. But everytime we use FaceTime with eachother the call only lasts exactly 1 min. It's very weird. Does anyone know the problem. And we have tried it many different. Times and at one point even in the same house and that lasted 58 seconds. It just says FaceTime call failed.

Aug 25, 2010Too bad the jailbreak is gone for new iphone's used 3G unrestrictor on a 3G facetime call today. It worked as good as wifi. Well, plus I am still on the unlimited plan. so I suppose that people would not use it then. But, why do they limit such a great feature of the phone. Plus it needs to be opened to Skype, etc. then people would really use it.
