May 25, 2012I have had some troubles with my Bionic the past few weeks.I have a Wifi network at home but not in my Office or car.I will keep the Bionic's Wifi at home on all the time,but will turn it off whne I leave.Many times when I will either walk into another place of buisness or just get a text message when the Wifi is off,it will turn the Wifi on.So,it's searching for Wifi and taking the battery life down as well.I have taken the battery out with the Wifi on and rebooted.

Is there an app that could trick the phone to use wifi and 3G service to I can send text messages. I don't have any service at my house and using the home phone for calls is fine, but I hate when I leave the house and I get 10 messages from the past couple of hours.

Apr 19, 2012My wife is on a school trip to the US. Meanwhile, I am at home in Canada. I am texting her, but I found it odd she never replies and vice versa. So, she discovered that her iPhone (latest iOS 5 release) keeps trying to send the message as an iMessage. It is not reverting to SMS after a given time, as it should and as I have seen it do before. I have tried it now also and my wife only receives my messages when she has a wifi connection (she does not have data roaming enabled). It seems like my iPhone too continously tries to send the message as an iMessage and it does not switch to SMS after a certain timeout time. The message that the iPhone continously tries to send as an iMessage never fails, however the status does not change until the next time my wife is in wifi coverage and the message is delivered.

May 20, 2012I have an AirPort extreme and two AirPort expresses. I have never had any issues. Now, my iPhone 4 and 4s will not connect to wifi. However, my PC and iPad will connect without any issue. I have tried resetting the network, routers, and cable modem. I have also tried resetting the iPhone network settings as indicated in the discussions. I've looked at the airport Utility and and only strange item I notice is that the AirPort Express is broadcasting on the 5GHZ channel, which I understand the iPhones only work at 4GHZ. I'm out of options.

The problem is that whenever I try to connect to a router, I get a message that my phone cant authenticate with it. I am sure the password is typed in correctly and I have tried to restart the router and do a factory reset on my phone. The only way to connect to some routers is to push the wps-button. This is very annoying. When at work, I can connect fine to one of the routers there, but not the others. I cant connect to the router in my home without pressing the wps-button (once that is done, it connects automatically)

Is this a known issue with the xperia phones? And is this a problem that is caused by the phones or is it that the routers may be a little old? I also want to add that my other devices has connected to these networks just fine.

Nov 20, 2012For the last 2 months now my FB chat message feature hasn't worked in 3G/wi-fi.I have phoned my phone provider (Orange) and they say there is no fault at their end data wise. I have checked the settings through my Windows Live account that my Facebook account is sync'd/allowed to send messages via chat to my phone.I have checked my FB chat settings to see No settings have been changed disallowing FB chat through my phone. In fact this explains perfectly my problem, as one day FB chat worked perfectly, the next few days it worked intermittently, and then from then on it has stopped working completely. I cannot see any contacts, and my phone says"Cannot Connect to see who's online".

Since, I do not have a subscription for multimedia messages with my service provider, the message remains in the outbox and never gets sent.
Can someone advice why the text message converts to multimedia message? How to prevent this from happening everytime I send/forward text message to more than 10 people from the contacts list?
