Title basicly says it all. i bought quickreplysms when i jailbroke my 3gs back in january, and just bought bitesms because it has more features. Is there any reason i should keep quickreplysms, or should i just uninstall it?
View 16 RepliesHas anyone else had this problem? In the description t said something cryptic about a future stable 4.0 release. I upgraded anyway (3gs 3.1.2 blackra1n) and now its not working. The options are still in the settings app, but i cant reply from the lock screen, and when i get sms/mms from any app or home
screen, there is no "reply" button like usual, just view and close (like before i had quickreply sms).
Anyone else having this problem as well? And is there any way to downgrade it to an older ver so i can get it working again? I tried reinstalling it 3 times (officially purchesed)
i have BiteSMS version 4.98and it is almost un useable.. so before i remove it and go back to quickreply... i want to see if you have any ideas!
I have biteSMS version 4.98, and a replacment icon, that changes it to the stock messages icon, when i click on the bitesms icon to open up my messages, it pops up to a white screen (i see header with all the menu and compose button and edit button... but my messages list is blank then about 10-20 seconds later... it pops up and works ok, when i am txting someone, and i get a txt while typing it gets really laggy and slows for about 10 seconds then everything comes through (i hear the sound but get no message for about 10 seconds (sometimes it just crashes right back to home screen)
I have an iPhone 4. Everytime I send an SMS from the program it closes off but it sends. Why does it automatically close off?

but I uninstalled the app and that fixed the fading issue (which only occurred in the messaging app). However, in biteSMS, 3 dots appear next to the texts that I send using biteSMS and its rather annoying. It only appears next to texts that I send using biteSMS, not Messaging

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem with biteSMS... when sending a txt message from my phones recent calls it will open the last person I sent a txt to instead of the number or contact I just clicked to send a txt too its really annoying and I keep finding myself almost sending a message to the wrong person.

After installing and restarting my phone, all of my apps except pre-installed and jb apps are gone. View 6 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone will not boot up, and I don't know what did it. My friend said his iPod won't come on because he charged it on a friend's XBOX overnight, and so did I. I really don't know if the XBOX did it, but it's possible. The other day I turned it off to save power, and when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't completely boot up. The Apple logo shows up for about a minute and then the loading symbol comes up and just keeps going and it won't ever get to the lock screen. I've tried to restore it. It won't show up in iTunes so I heard about putting the device in Recovery Mode to make it recognizable. It made it show up, but every time I tried to restore it gave me error codes like 21, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, and 1604. My iPhone was on 5.0.1 and at the Restore page in iTunes that only had options to Update and Restore. Update was grayed out, and there should be an update to 5.1. Then today when I tried restoring it the message at the top was stuck on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple..." iTunes isn't frozen on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple," it just won't say anything else. I've tried everything and nothing works. I've even tried holding the Power and Home buttons forever, and still, nothing works.

I used to be able to tether my Macbook Pro (OS X 10.7.4) by connecting my iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1) through the USB cable. Now I cannot anylonger. It works fine tethering using Wi-Fi.I prefer USB tethering to Wi-Fi tethering because it conserves both the Macbook and the iPhone battery.The problem is that I do not have an "Ethernet Adaptor (en5)" service in the list, and I do not know how to create one.I am sure that my USB port and cable works well, because it charges my phone, and I can use it for development (XCode) uploading apps and running them in debug mode. I also tried to turn off the Macbook Wi-Fi, connect and disconnect the iPhone with the Personal Hotspot ON, restart both the Macbook and the iPhone.

My MacBook is running OS 10.6 and my iPhone 4 is running IOS 4.3.5.
Since 2 days, when I plug my iPhone using the USB port, iTunes 10 don't see my iPhone anymore.
Before, I had no problem. I don't use iCloud.
Have plugged in iphone 4s and it's not charging. Have changed adaptors and plug sockets just in case but still nothing. Has been fine up until now and nothing has happened to it to stop it working.

my iphone 4 was working fine a couple of days ago, but suddenly i plugged the device to my laptop and after a while i realized it wasnt charging anymore, i have tested on a lot of computers, wall charger, but i got the same issue, even on a mac but no luck.
So finally i turned off and after a while i realized the phone was fully charged, at least i found a temporary solution to this problem but its really anoying to switch off to charge the phone, if you solve this problem please let me know.
I believe it should be a software issue, because the phone actullay charges when its off.
I will be really glad if some apple employee answer me about this problem, i would like to know if ios6 comes out with a solution to this issue maybe by a simple firmware upgrade??

hey all been lurking for a while trying to learn as much about jailbreaking and its issues before i took the plunge on my virgin 3gs. the rave reviews about the new spirit jb convinced me, so i did it yesterday and couldnt be happier. it was so easy, in fact it was anti climactic. i was expecting something to go wrong, or some sort of headache but it was so quick and easy. im a windows vista user so i just changed the compatibility mode to win 98 and it went without a hitch. so far ive added lockinfo and im using glaskart theme. cant wait to play around to modding it more. so just wanna say thanks to everyone on this forum, theres a wealth of knowledge here.4.0, who needs 4.0 now?

I board at a school for most of my time and there's wifi on campus that my phone used to connect to, but up until Monday is hasn't been connecting for some reason. My phone sees the connection, but it won't connect. The gray spinning wheel just keeps going and going. I've tried turning off my phone and turning it back on. and I've tried resetting the network, but that hasn't worked. I can't turn off the router and turn it back on and whatnot cuz the wifi belongs to the school. I'm not sure if it's just the school's wifi to or all wifi connections cuz I can't leave campus for a few weeks so I'm noy sure if my phone will be able to connect to my home wifi. There's actually more that one wifi signal that the school gives off but my phone doesn't connect to any of them anymore. My laptop connects to the wifi and my friends phones can. I don't get why mine won't though. It's been working all this time and suddenly won't connect anymore.

When I attempt to back it up (locking it, making sure it's connected to WiFi, and plugging it into my laptop or the wall), it says something like "9 hours to complete backup," and doesn't complete the back up. What's going on? It's never had this issue before. Granted, it is a refurb (3rd one) that has carried with it the software issues of my original 4s (exceedingly annoying; it has all sorts of little annoying issues), but it has never continuously failed to back up.
