i've got the iphone 3G and thus have no recording abilities. I am currently using Cycorder which works well and it's free. My question, is Qik Video Camera a better recorder? It's $2 which I don't mind paying for but if it's not much better picture quality then i'd rather just use Cycorder.

When I open the camera app I switch over to video camera and tap the record button but nothing happens. The camera does not record. I do not see a video time counter and I cannot do anything else with the camera. I can't stop the recording because it doesn't think it is recording. Odd. BTW, this was happening before 5.1 update.

Just switched from Bold 9000 to Bold 9900.I find the 9900 does not have the ability to send video files directly from the video camera application via email or MMS.Only via BBM (or post on you-tube or post on FB). View 4 Replies View RelatedI love my new M8. I previously had the HTC One S, and when in camera mode, you had a camera OR video button at the same time.
On the M8, I see this setup for my front facing camera, but on the rear facing, I have to keep going into the menu and selecting one or another. I frequently flip back and forth, and it's soooo annoying. I'll be ready to snap a pic and oops I left it on video mode. Then I have to stop the video and go back and change. And when you're taking pics of a 9 month old baby, they don't understand to stop and wait a few seconds.
Anyways... is there some kind of setting to display both the camera and video button on the same screen at the same time? I looked around but couldn't find anything.
Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again. Dont know what to do cant take pictures or videos.

I obviously don't expect excellent quality but I assume the video is better since it is in HD, I wonder about the sound though. It should at least be on par with a point & shoot digital camera right?

I have a serious problem with my iPhone.When I use the camera app to shoot a video sequence there is (almost) so sound. You just hear white noise and the real sound is almost unhearable quiet. Tried it with the internal mic as well as with an external mic. But! If i use the voice memo tool - the audio recorder - the sound is excellent. Loud, clear and crisp.Why does the camera fail to record the sound whilst the audiorecorder just does it perfectly.I called Apple Support. Despite the fact the guy on the phone did not seem to have understood what I described, he just said, i should reset it to factory settings and if tah wont helf I could send it in for having it checked for as little as 160 Euros.

why the Camera's aspect ratio is different when taking Stills versus the Video?
I would like to capture the stills in 16x9 as the video does. Why is this not something that could be chosen in options?
My icloud backs up photos from the photostream but videos I take just stay in the camera roll. Is there a way to have the videos also go to the photostream so they show up on my PC?

Today, I was trying to record a video but when I was reviewing it i notice that the sound was all muffled like if I was covering the microphone. So I took of my OtterBox Defender Case but that wasnt the problem at all. I tried blowing on both microphones that didnt work I tried cleaning it out with a cotton swab but no luck!

The sound on my iphone video camera is not working. I have used it before and it was OK. I shot an hour's worth of clips during which I tested and heard the sound being recorded. When I went to upload it to my computer, there was no sound. Pics are good. Looking at the original clips still on my iphone, and there's no sound. I tried to record another video clip as a test and it has no sound. Is there a setting for sound which I am missing or is there something wrong with the microphone.

I've tried everything. I have a video made on my phone of a wedding...only ~5-10 minutes. At any rate I cannot figure out how to get it off my phone & to my PC. I copy via camera/scanner & after ~10 minutes get an error that states it could not copy .my photos work fine. I've tried to view the video via Quick Time (latest version) & it states that the .Mov file is not something Quick time understands.what's up? How can move the file from my phone to PC?

The only way I can export a video from the camera roll is to send myself an email with the video attached; then move it into iPhoto on my iMac.
My still photos sync properly from the iPhone to my computer, but not the videos.
Yesterday i had restore my phone due to it crashing. I also couldn't turn it off because my lock button is broken.I was advised to restore it.I used the option keep all media. After the restore it asked me if I wanted to backup from the icloud which was last done at 9:30 that morning! However no pictures or video have gone to the camera roll.
Pictures have appeared on photostream so they are ok. But from my understanding Icloud does backup video but just not onto photostream. how to get the videos back.?
