IPhone :: Password To Turn Off It For Security Reasons
Apr 28, 2012
I live in Mexico City and we get our iphones robbed a lot, my suggestion is that the password could also block turning off the phone so we can use "find my iphone". It would certainly increase the security for us.
My apple id was disabled for security reasons, I changed my password and everything is fine now. Except my iphone and Ipad still say my ID is disabled. However, I am able to login to icloud and all my mac stuff
Every time I try to get an app from the Itunes store and I put in my password for Apple ID I get a message saying that my Apple ID password has been reset for security reasons. I have changed it multiple times and keep having the same problem the next time I sign in. My password seems to work on the computer but not with my iphone.
Every time I try to upgrade existing applications (such as BBM / Facebook) I get the following error message: "Your BlackBerry ID will be locked for 0 minutes for security reasons. You will not be able to login or request your password until that time has expired."I am not sure how did my BB ID get blocked and furthermore how to get in unblocked. Need urgent help on this issue.
While attempting to download updates after entering my user name and password I get this message. "Your BlackBerry ID will blocked for 0 minutes for security reasons. You will not be able to login or request your password until that time has expired." The time never expires which leaves me not being able to download anything. I have tried changing my password which doesn't solve the problem.
I bought a used Lumia 1520 from Amazon a few days ago...been using WP8.1, no problems, so I went ahead and installed the latest Windows 10 Mobile preview last night.
Everything worked fine for about 6 hours, and then the phone started going into endless rebooting loops. About 3 hours ago, it finally booted up, and there was a message on the screen that said "This phone has been locked for security reasons. Please connect to a power source for 2 hours and try restarting".
So I've had it plugged in for the last 3 hours, and now it refuses to boot up at all. When I do the soft reset button combo, the phone vibrates like it's restarting, but then...nothing.
So, I guess I've got two questions:
1. Did Windows 10 Mobile brick my phone, or is it more likely that there was something wrong with the phone from the get go? 2. What additional things I might try for recovery? I have downloaded the Windows Phone Recovery Tool, but without the device powering on, it's basically bupkis.
I have this phone and it's a good phone, but the WiFi is not working. I go to WLAN Wizard > Options > Refresh > Selecting a WiFi connection and when I type something or go to web feeds, bookmarks this error I get:"Web: Unable to execute the file for security reasons".
How do I turn off the security password that is actually on my phone (and is it the "enterprise password".) On "Settings" "Options" "Password" it shows that my password is "Enabled" and also shows a lock. I want to totally remove the password. If I try to change the password and not enter anything in the new password field, it does not work.
Blackberry 9700 The device has problem if you activate the security password, the devices does not accept the password until 5 or 6 attempts and then prompts you to type blackberry to continue. Please note format and reinstall is not an option since the restored data does not work. Awaiting a quick solution.
I did forget my security questions .i did reset and they sent on my email .but i forget my email security questions and password .how can i reset my email which you sent security question on it ?
The more I think about it, the 3GS may serve me just fine. Yes, the screen is better, but at least I am given the comfort of how fluid the OS flows on screen on the 3GS, compared to other devices on the market. The 3GS isn't even that bad of a device compared to a lot of Android/smartphones out there.
HD video and camera? I could care less about since I really don't take much photos with a phone camera. If I do, it will be a quick photo, which doesn't need the huge megapixel count anyway (megapixel does not equal quality). Much of my pictures and night pictures come from my Nikon, which then is edited to fit the iPhone screen. However, the iPhone 4 design aspect is really nice, but that's just for eye candy
FaceTime? I barely even video chat with anyone on my MacBook to begin with and I do not know much people that can FaceTime with me since they won't be getting an iPhone 4, my friends usually carry Sprint phones or BlackBerry. Gyro? The food? Just kidding. Well, I do play games on my iPhone, but not enough to warrant the new accelerometer use.
Dual mics. That's a biggie for me, but I'm young and texting is the way many, if not all, of my friends communicate, except for my lady contact. New glass? Cool, dropped my 3GS a few times, no scratches. New glass seems like a great design and I am sure it will get better in iPhone 5
Battery? This is a big one for me. Even though my 3GS works perfectly fine throughout my daily usage (usually down to 40% at the end of my day 9AM-9PM), the iPhone 4's better battery looks great, but the difference comparison on Apple is somewhat minimal. At least I still get 4.0 on the 3GS along with the excellent multitasking usage and the folders. I am grateful for that.
This wasn't meant to be a rant, just my opinions on why the 3GS may still be good for me to skip this year's model. But, you best believe that I will be first in line for iPhone 5 or whatever they call it because my full upgrade will be ready by then. Given this year's specs, I will expect much better features next year along with a new OS.

I've got an nokia n97 mini and i would like to know if there is a way of putting a password lock on a few things on my phone e.g. my messages, pictures, apps, etc.
I Forgot my password(security code) of my Nokia N86 which i'd change and when i change my sim card, the handset prompts me to type the security code...
I've tried all my known passwords, but of no use..
I reviewed many websites and found that bb5 models cannot be unlocked and the only solution for that is to get the handset flashed,i just want to know from Nokia Discussion board,is the flashing only solution available? or any other alternative?
I have just bought a new Nokia Asha 200.I need to put a phone security password, but the user guide only instructs how to change the password, but I can not find anything about enabling it.I also tried to find all the options in the security settings but could not find the answer.
I have changed my password and I forget it, so now my blackberry is locked. And it is on its last attempt before being my information being clear. I haven't backed up my datas, is there any other way to recover it? I don't want to lose all of my datas, there are some important ones.
Okay so my dad wants to get into the security option in his phone to add a fingerprint, however to do so required the backup password.
Knowing my dad, he had forgotten the password and cannot get in here, the only suggestion we have found is reset your phone which obviously is a bit last resort.
I have found some suggestions I. e. sign in your Google account however that did not work nor did a suggestion which was to go in private mode and from there it will prompt the fingerprint and make that default.
I forgot my blackberry security password and I had key in wrong password five time, I was asked to key in blackberry number and I got only one more chance to get it right otherwise all the information installed on the device will be wipe out. What is blackberry number? and how to get one because I don't want to loss all the data in these phone.
Can Apple make an app or an update that makes you insert your password to turn your phone off? This can deal with theft of iPhones because people take or find a iPhone, the first thing they do is turn the phone off.
