My dad's iPhone 4s will not power on. He says that last night, it had about 30% battery left, which he thought was odd because he hadn't used it much that day. He plugged it in to the wall charger and went to bed (I believe that it indicated that it was charging at that time, but I cannot confirm that at the moment). This morning, it appears to be dead and will not power on. The first thing I tried was holding the power button and home button at the same time for about 15 seconds. This did not boot the iPhone. I plugged it into the computer and attempted to locate the phone using iTunes - nothing. I also held the power button and home button while the iPhone was plugged into the wall outlet, and had been for at least 10 minutes. I have also confirmed that the power cord, computer, wall outlet, and power block are all working, testing them with my own working iPhone 4s.
I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
I just got my nexus 6p i noticed when i press power button I only see switch off option nothing else (restart or aeroplane mode etc) I scanned through everything and could not find anything,Attaching screen shot.
This morning I powered off my iPhone 4s waiting a few minutes before attempting to power back on. When I turned back on the apple logo appeared as usual, but then never fully loaded to the home screen. Ever since the phone continues attempting to start up. The screen with the clock keeps popping up and then flashes back off. Then starts the process over again. I have held the power/sleep button for 10-15sec until the apple logo appears but still won't fully turn on.
I last used the alarm this morning for wakeup. I pressed snooze. About 20 minutes later went to use my phone to find it was "dead". No power. So I tried to recharge thinking maybe the battery died. Still no power. Tried to turn off/on, No power.
my iphone 3GS is stuck in the spinning pre-shut down screen, and has been going on an hour. will not respond to button pushing. I haven't reset it yet, will doing just a reset lose all my stuff?
I have an iPhone 4s GSM. I am facing a problem with it, It becomes very hot while making calls or browsing internet by 3g or wifi and the battery always gets empty very fast, I had IPhone 3gs and 4 before and I didn't face these problems before.
My iPhone has no power after I tried restoring it. I've tried everything. Holding wake/sleep button and home key. NOTHING. I tired keeping it plugged into my computer and resetting the computer. Still NOTHING. The phone has no power so I can't really do any kind of resets.
I was syncing my iPhone 4 to my PC and it restarted with black screen and went into recovery mode, however, when I tried to restore it the screen went white and so I pressed the HOME + POWER at the same time and it went all the way to black screen. Now, it says the iPhone is on DFU mode and whenever I try to restore it, I am getting an error on iTunes. I would like to know what are my other options to power ON my iPhone so I can go to recovery mode?
Today while I was sleeping my iPhone fell out of my pocket and onto the carpeted floor. When I woke up, I tried pressing the home button and the power button. However, my phone did not turn on nor show any change in the display. I then connected it to my power-outlet charger, thinking that it was a battery problem and voila, it turned on. After a short while a message came on the screen that said "Activation Required" so I unlocked my phone and continued to the next screen. At this point, it said to connect to iTunes. I disconnected my phone and immediately the display went dead. I repeated the procedure of connecting it to a wall-outlet and then disconnecting it with no change in the result. I really need my phone to work because it has all of my major contacts and such.
My iPhone 4S will not power off. At the Home screen I press and hold the power button for x seconds and slide the red arrow button across when the 'slide to power off' message appears. The screen goes black and after a few seconds the white spinner appears and the screen goes back again. After 3-4 seconds -without even touching the phone- the Apple logo appears, followed by the Lock screen and the phone has restarted itself.
If apps are not close by tapping the home screen buttons two times and then when the - minus sign appears you delete/close them; do they still use battery or current/power even though the phone is off?
the iphone went dark at some point today with still plenty of battery power left.
Since then i've been unable to power it back on.
Tried holding to top and home buttons for 15 seconds, then pressing the top button, pluggin into wall, into mac with no result at all. It is 100% un-responsive
Can't power off iPhone when on charger, after a couple of seconds after powering off the Apple Logo will appear and the phone will power on again. Only happened after upgrading to iOS 5.1
My husband's 4s will not power up at all. Battery has charge. Tried to connect to iTunes but it could not "find" the phone. On vacation and nearest apple store is over an hour away.
We tried plugging in through several different USB cables/chargers and it doesn't show up as affecting the battery life at all. We've plugged it into the computer; iTunes doesn't recognize it. We were able to push a factory reset, but when we tried to restore it from an old backup, iTunes won't recognize it.
My iphone's screen will not respond to touch so i tought that if I were to power cycle the phone the problem might clear up. But how do you power cycle without the screen working?
