my iphone doesnt ring or vibrate when i recieve a phone call or text all it does is light up! all my setting are correct and i have downloaded an vibrate app that i read sometimes fixes it but nothing seems to work.

My phone will vibrate, but does not audibly ring. The silent switch is not set, If i go into the settings menu, the ringer menu files are missing.All other sounds work flawlessly, music plays, keyboard clicks away and voicemail, and text alerts come through, it's just the ringer that's problematic.I have attched the screen shot of the settings page here below.

I know this is probably far fetched, but I figured I'd ask anyway. I'm looking for an app or setting that will ring or vibrate my phone depending on who calls/texts. To be more clear -- When I'm asleep, I don't want to wake up for every stupid person that drunk dials me, etc, however I do want to wake up if I get a call from work. Is there a way to have my phone ring with sound if it's a call or text from my boss, but vibrate if it's someone else?

My phone worked the other day but the same day not long after it was working it stopped telling me when certain people thexted or called me and I don't know how to fix it. I've tried turning it off and on but that doesn't work I've tried fixing the settings I flipped the side switch on and off. Nothing worked and I don't know what else to do.

Clicking this key will cut out even the vibrations on the Nokia N900, but the phone you are calling from will still hear a ringing tone.End the call from the other phone. Now put the Nokia N900 back on General profile. Call the N900 again from another phone. This time you will not hear a ring tone even though you are back on General profile. (I've checked and my volume was on full)
Atleast this is the problem I'm getting at the moment. Apologies if this problem has been covered elsewhere. I've tried to find it but couldnt so will appreciate if someone can paste a link to it here.The problem goes away if you restart the N900, but I'm hoping this problem can be fixed.
I just got my Curve 8250 yesterday, and I spent last night setting up my ringtones. I put the phone in Vibrate mode when I was asleep, and when I put it back into normal mode this morning, nothing happens when a text/PIN/phone call comes through. I just get the red flashing light. I've done a 30-second battery pull and made sure that the profiles were as I'd made them yesterday.

This was a great feature. I am not able set my phone to be on vibrate at certain times, as my schedule is not a set routine. I have looked for apps that would allow me to do this, without any luck. Someone suggested creating a ringtone and leave silence in the beginning, but all of the "custom ringtone apps" that I have tried, cannot do this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a refurbished Bold 9700 today. I have it set just as I did with my old one, but it WILL NOT vibrate and ring at the same time. If I have vibrate checked to on and vibration with ringtone checked to on, it vibrates twice and then rings. If I go into custom, it still vibrates BEFORE ringing. The phone is still on AT&T's official .405 OS right now, and I'm doing the update to .593 right now. Maybe that will help? I'm not sure.

When an incoming call, email and or message is received only the LED blinks. I get no sound/ringtone nor does the phone vibrate. I've checked the phone's settings and all appears to be as it should.
Does this phone have a "silent" mode? In other words, can you set it so that it doesn't ring AND DOESN'T VIBRATE? My current phone only has ring and vibrate but no silent mode.

I had a blackberry prior to this phone and I was able to easily do that with sound options. I don't see the same option with this phone.
Phone does not ring, does vibrate, sound profile is set to "Phone Calls Only. Did a hard reboot (removed & reinserted battery), did not change the problem.
