IPhone :: It Will Not Turn Back On Even After Hard Reset
Apr 4, 2012
My iPhone was syncing to my computer and I left it, and when I came back it was turned off. I tried to turn it on like normal but nothing happened, so I tired a hard reset but it also didn't work. At first it acted like the screen wasnt on because it would vibrate. But as of now it is completely dead.
I received a phone call and once it ended the phone screen went blank.I tried to do the home button and power button 15 second hold. But it doesnt work.I can hear my calls and emails come in and the phone screen stays blank. What to do? Can apple fix this.
A couple hours ago my phone was having issues connecting to my wifi automatically. When I went into Settings > Wifi my phone froze. I did a hard reset (holding down the top key and the home button) untill the little apple appeared. Problem is the apple stayed there and then dimmed and eventually shutoff. By itself the process would repeat and repeat; Apple, dull apple, no apple. I waited it out and it eventually came back on after about 20 minutes. Â
My phone was froze again a couple hours later and I did a hard reset again. The same process occured and its been repeating for at least 2 hours now. Ive tried plugging it into my charger and nothing happened. I plugged it into my laptop and thought i would try a factory reset but since my phone isnt "on" itunes does not pick it up. I hace also tried removing te sim card and doing another hard reset while its doing its process. Â
Just got a new iPhone 4 the other day. I was charging the phone and it fell, only a couple feet at most. There is a small crack in the back of the phone now, and it won't turn on anymore. My friend has a iPhone 4 as well and we swapped out the battery and the back housing (just to make sure that the crack didnt short anything out) but the symptoms persist.
I have it plugged into the wall charger now, tried doing a hard reset (holding home and power for some time) but nothing. This is very frustrating to think that the iPhone 4 is this fragile. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try to get this device back up and running? Any help at all would be very appreciated.
I have an iPhone 3gs that is out of warranty. I purchased this phone from AT&T. Last night my phoone went completely dead (battery percentage was at 96% just moments before) and now will not turn back on. I have tried just about everything I have found on discussion boards- trying hard reset, plugging into itunes, charging for15-20 mins then holding down sleep and homebuton..... NOTHING works. This phone will not light up AT ALL. My computer wont even recognize it. Is there anything else I can do?
i backup my phone everyday. Now ive have this freezing problem an my phone wont switch on. Just incase i want/need to do a hard reset, i want to know what the back up ..backs up?.....does it save contacts, images etc?.and IF i do a hard reset....what will i loose?
I tried to make a hard reset to my NokiaC6-00.I used this code: *#7370#.Then 12345 for the security code. After that, A black screen showed in my Nokia and the green, white and red light turned on.I waited for 5min and nothing happens, so I removed the Battery then insert it again. Now when i press the Power button i feel the vibration but nothing happens.
I just recently tried to turn on my phone and it just wouldnt work. It turns on when I plug it into the wall, but only the motorola sign shows up. I tried doing the hard reset by holding down the power and camera, then plugging it in to turn it on, but it only shows the motorola logo, then the screen turns black, then it starts up again to show the motorola logo. Im thinking its either the battery or the software
Yesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.
if i do a hard full reset will that reset eveything including the first hotmail live account i put in on the first day of activation because im not living in the same country anymore and want to start a new zune/marketplace account to buy apps i have no problem with hard reset IF It will work?
So i have noticed with all the issues with 5.1.1 that when you hard reset by holding down the top button and the home button, the phone while restart with the apple logo and reboot. However, it will not kill/close the applications in the open programs tray. Am I the only one experiencing this? Can anyone else reproduce or confirm that hard reset used to kill the programs in other versions?
I was having problems downloading from the app store (which another thread resolution solved for me) but in the midst of working on this issue, a friend suggested I do a hard reset on the phone by holding the top power button and the little dot on the front until it just shut off. I did this and I come back to none of my text messages. They have all been deleted. I can't find anything on the forums about this.
I am not sure I particularly care, meaning I don't think I had too much in the way of important information contained in them, but it wasn't supposed to do that so that's a bit annoying to me. Why did my phone do something it wasn't supposed to do?
Every time I fully charge my iPhone 6 Plus it turns off and doesn't want to turn on normally: I have to reset it every time by pressing the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button for a couple of seconds.Â
Also, sometimes after leaving it in sleep mode, when I wake the iPhone I find it having restarted alone without me doing anything: it asks me to type again the PIN number of my SIM card, as if it had just been turned on.Â
I have a bunch of books in my kindle library and had downloaded a subset of them to my iphone in the kindle app.Â
I was having issues with the iphone, and I ended up doing a backup/hard-reset/restore. Everything came back fine except my downloaded kindle books. Actually, when I first opened the kindle app, I saw the previously downloaded books listed in the "device" tab, but they soon disappeared.Â
Where does the kindle app store this info on my phone and why wasn't it saved/restored to/from the backup?Â
I can download those books again from the cloud, so nothing lost, but it is an annoyance - especially if one likes to have lots of books handy.Â
I don't have enough space on my macbook to back my pictures up onto it. I am wanting to back up my pictures from my iphoto onto an external hard drive.
My Mac crashed last Friday. First timeIs there any way to get my photos FROM my iPod Touch back into my new hard drive. The iTunes sync only goes one way from the computer to the iPod. It syncs the photos taken with the iPod (really an old iPhone 3G without phone service) but not the folders which I synced from the old hard drive to the iPod over the past year.
I have recently had to have my macbook harrdive wiped and so none of my music, apps or anything from my iphone are now on it. How can I transfer all this data back across to my computer?
My htc one(m7) started behaving strangely. It says htc sense has been stopped unfortunately ..... So I tried to reset it..... I pressed the power button +the volume down button and got the boot menu and when i choose the factory reset, it gets turned off then shows the logo of htc ... thats it and does not respond..... I have tried it several times and the result is same....
My phone was passcode locked because of sensitive emails for my work. When I took it out of my pocket this morning, it had reset itself and was optimizing. It had reset itself!  I have a feeling it because a passcode was entered too many times and the phone reset itself. (Happened before as the touch is very sensitive) Or it is a bug and it rest itself which is highly unlikely.  My question is whether or not I can get all my data, apps and contacts back. I do not have the time or patience to set it all up again.Â
Two months ago i purchased HTC one s. Last night i turned it off and later turned it on but it didn't turned on! I tried to give it a Hard reset but it didn't even switched on in the recovery mode. It is not showing a sign of rebooting. It is completely switched off. I tried to switch it on using volume down/volume up button with power button but it still not got ON!:-(I tried to connect it with PC but it fails to load..Only thing that shows the sign of life is it's charging orange light..Is my phone dead??? If so, then why HTC?I am so sad and tensed.
i was on facebook and my s6 just randomly shut of and now all I get a a black screen with the galaxy s6 on the screen. I just purchased this phone back in September.
