This phone was replaced in Covent Gardens and worked fine with orange UK for a few days (hence i purchased it). It then asked for compatible sim. now neither orang UK or Swiss sims work and i cannot unlock it too, because each party says that the iPhone is not their.

Aug 24, 2014I've recently purchased an iphone 5c and was told it was unlocked. Unfortunately this wasn't true. I've had the phone unlocked 2 days ago, and was told by the company who did it that it could take upto 14 days to actually unlock and download to the phone... they said that i will have to plug the phone into itunes, restore it, and when its done a "congratulations" will come up in itunes.Â
The problem i have is how do i know that the phone is unlocked when itunes and set up won't take me any further that "sim not compatible"

Feb 28, 2010My phone seems to be locked, with the itunes logo and image of a usb cord with an arrow pointing toward the icon. The only thing it will do is slide open to make an emergency call. There is a little lock symbol at the top. I connected to my mac to upload photos, and it wanted to upgrade softwear, so I clicked ok. Now in my Itunes screen, it says that the sim card is not supported and that i need a compatible sim card. I have been using this phone for a year with no problems. Did Apple find a way to lock any phones that are synced thru Itunes, that are not using AT&T?

One in particular(Infinidock/ $.99/Cydia) I purchased(no trial available). After loging in and being redirected to pay for the app, I get back to the "install" page and get an error message stating to the effect this apps only works with ">4.0" Though it was only $.99 I think this should have been caught before I paid for the app... And of course I've never seen/ heard of getting a "refund" from Cydia?
