I'm sitting in an air conditioned building waiting for a concert to start and my iPhone feels very warm to the touch on the right side where the battery is. Is this a normal thing? I never experienced this with my 3GS.
I know that the older iphones would heat up under heavy use but my iphone 4 seems to stay warm constantly. Do you think it's because of the multitaksing/quick app switching that is going on in the background? I have location services turned off.Anyone else experiencing the same?
Been trying lots of things out and came across an app that updated when shaking. When I shook the phone,I could clearly hear something rattle inside.I kept shaking it to see if I could figure out what was loose checked all the buttons and didn't seem to be them. Then I noticed after a little shaking it said "NO SIM" so I thought this must be it.I took the sim card out and shook again and it still rattled so it doesn't seem to be the sim. Everything seems to be working fine.Anyone else seen this?
My Black iPhone 4's lock button feels like there's something underneath it when I press it. No water has been in contact with my device at all, and I'm certain of it! I don't know what to do! Should I take it to the Apple Store or see if it stops?
Anyone notice this? It's getting really warm doing simple web browsing and settings, etc. (no games). It never got warm doing that kind of stuff before.
FedEx finally just made my day and dropped off this absolutely stunning phone. The display truly does have to be seen to be appreciated. But has anyone else noticed that the phone gets kind of warm on the back? It's warmer than I remember my 3G getting, that's for sure. I'm not doing anything all that intensive either--all I've done is setup my email accounts, set wallpapers, moved around apps, etc.
I should not that it is plugged in though. Maybe that's the reason for the warmth, who knows. I'll continue to experiment and see what happens.
My iPhone 3G gets warm/hot after a few minutes of use, anyone else? im talking about just scrolling thru springboard apps and checking your text then locking your phone, and repeating this again a lil bit afterwards.
I just replaced my iPhone 3GS and I noticed that the LCD is a little warmer then the one I had. How does your iPhone look? has anybody else noticed this? Does anybody have pics?
I was just comparing the iP4's display to my 3GS and it seems a lot warmer [Yellowish Tint] than the 3GS!! I remember when the 3GS was launched, many of us got very warm displays! Luckily, mine came with a bad GPS chip and the exchange unit had the nice *cool* display with a bluish tint!
I wonder if the first batch of iPhones are plagued with warm 'yellowish' screens ?This is not to be confused with the yellow patches people are reporting, which is a defect. In my case, the entire screen is warm, not defected! How is the display/tint on your iP4 ? How is compared to your 3G or 3GS, if you have one around ?
I got an iphone 4s 64GB a month back as a gift and it has got applecare+ protection plan as well. I stay in India. One of my friend gifted me the phone from US.
Problem: The screen is too warm(yellow tint). I found it only after comparing my iphone with the iphones which are in the local stores. The in-store demonstartor told me that the phone can be replaced in the country of purchase.
Hello, i got iphone 4s white 16gb. My question is it normal for the phone to get warm when i text or use the net on it? (on back side of the phone, sim area) And by doin this my battery gets used more quicker then my old iphone 4? Should i get it replaced or its a norm with this phone?
My iPhone 4s gets very very warm, to the point where I can't hold it for a long time. It's worse when its charging but I've noticed it when I've not used it for an hour or so. I don't use a case and everything else seems to be working okay. Is it normal or should I take it too an Apple store?
Now when I am on Facebook and just surfing the web for like a coulpe of minutes it gets warm were I can feel it not super warm but pretty warm and I don't know why. I just want to know if it's only mine or dose others do this as we'll.
Until recently my 4S worked great but now it gets warm in my pocket and loses its charge very quickly--even in standby mode. This occurs whether I use the iPhone or not. I closed all apps and recharged the iPhone several times today but the same problem repeats itself.
I've got strange issue with my Iphone 4 16GB. When phone getting warm, mic stop working. People stop to hear me.Sometimes after 5 minuts call, sometimes after 30 minuts call, even when switch for loudspeaker same problem.Mic been changed including charging port and still same problem.
I have a iphone 4s. Everyday same time 7am, my iphone gets warm in mh handbag. And I have not used it, would an app be causing it or the fact tgat I have it in my bag. Have not notice any battery drain when this happens
i got this issue with my iphone since yesterday. It woked me up as usual and i noticed that it was realy warm but haven't thought much about it...was too early So i go to work as usual...then i noticed that the battery drains realy fast (like 1-2% in a minute of usage) and getting very warm on the back right beneath the rear camera (same spot is getting hot while charging). I also noticed that the auto-focus of the rear cam isn't working (also manual focus doesn't work).
I upgraded to IOS 5.1 and also reset it to factory defaults and also generate a new profile for it so no old settings are used. But the problem sill persists :/ As long as it is in standby everything is alright if i use it (even browse through tabs) it starts draining and getting warm
My iphone 4 has a black screen and gets warm when charging. also, the battery runs out unusually fast. I can still receive calls etc and can see a 'backlight' come on behind the black screen when buttons are pressed, but I can not see anything on the screen. I have tried restoring the phone from recovery mode in iTunes but this does not fix the problem. If it were the screen that needs replacing then would the phone get warm?
Within the last week my iPhone 5c has begun to get warm and also the battery drains very fast. I have done all the usual things like closing apps, turning off WiFi etc .
Lately I have noticed that my S6 gets very warm when doing simple tasks or even watching a video on YouTube and will then sometimes show that it is going into cool down mode. I think it may be the RAM as it is always high and may make my phone lag at times. My phone did not come with Smart Manager so I cannot end excess RAM. Is there a good app that I could use to end excess RAM and keep my phone from getting so warm?
I was an Iphone user until last week when I started to use a black Xperia Z5 Compact. I had read that its Snapdragon 810 tends to get quite warm but reviews from media mostly stated that this was not an issue anymore.  I love the phone but the heat - unfortunately - does still seem to be an issue. Let me give you a couple of examples: When I play demanding games like Asphalt 8 both the back and the front of the screen get so warm that it is annoying. Most importantly: This happens also with a rather simple 2D-game called "Earn to die".Â
My 950 gets uncomfortably warm while steaming or downloading large files. The screen gets warm and I'm thinking that it can't be good for the phone. I think it might be my case holding the heat in. Gonna try it today without the case and see how warm it gets. I normally get a tpu case which I think can generally disperse heat better.
I just bought the device yesterday and it My gets warm (not hot) even when only using Google chrome. I also feel that the battery is draining fast when I'm using the device . I owned a Samsung Note 2 before and it never got warm even when I used it intensively.
when i play a game, especially spore, the battery gets quite warm compared when im not using the phone. should i worry? Do you want to get all the firmware updates for your phone? Get a SIM-free one!
