IPhone :: IOS 4 Not Receiving MMS From Non-iPhones
Jun 25, 2010
Anyone receiving MMS from non-iPhones? If so, from non-iPhones on a different carrier than yours? I am able to send and receive MMS to/from other iPhones but when someone without an iPhone sends me an MMS, I receive: "Callback #: XXX-XXX-XXXX". This was not an issue with iPhone OS 3.x. I've reproduced the problem on three different phones all running iOS 4 (a 3GS and 2x iPhone 4's).On all three iPhones, we have tried resetting network settings, but this doesn't fix it.
My friend and I both have iPhones 4s. I was looking at them both today and they both showed different times? I thought this was odd because I figured the phones got the time from the AT&T network, so how could they be different?
I currently have an iPhone 4, however I have an international trip coming up so I will need to look for an older unlocked iPhone. Would it be possible to link both iPhones to the same iTunes account so I can access the games I purchased.
This one was a 3GS. I changed for a 4. That doesn't matter.
I have a Macbookpro (OS 10.6.8).
Itunes is updated. And IOS too.
Three curious things : iPhoto works with the iPhoneif I reinstall OS to 10.6.3, it worksbut in this case, the appleApps in iTunes are in grey : not accessible
MMS pics are being compressed down to the size of a grain of rice (27 x 40) when sent from an iphone!how to change the settings so it comes through normally? I have tried several different iphones with the same results.
I keep our family photos organized in folders by months. Â
But since my wife and I both have iPhones, I sometimes have the issue where two different photos have the same name ending up in the same photo. If we weren't in sync, this wouldn't be much of a problem. But we've had our new phones the same amount of time and we have kept pretty close in number of photos taken.Â
I need to synch a number of iphones that are IOS 4xx to iTunes to activate Phone unlocking. Is there a limit to the number of devices I can synch using 1 Laptop and a copy of Itunes?Â
I have two iPhones, one is a 4s and the other is a 3g. I have not used my 3g in some time now. I recently restored it but I cannot use it without a sim card, it says i have to "activate it." I cannot place my iPhone 4s sim card in it (too small), and i do not want to get a new contract or sim card for an iPhone that i do not ues very much.
Just headed to the apple store to get my iphone 4s (sprint) replaced bc it wouldnt turn off. never had a problem with the old phone besides the powering down issue. receieved a new one but now i recieve the same text over and over from not just one person, but a whole slew of people.
My iphone 4 has been updated to iOS 7.1.1 about two weeks ago. Since then I haven't turned it on/off.
Two days ago I did, since then I'm not receiving SMS when the sender send it. I got them randomly after a half a day.
This only happening with normal SMS, iMessage works fine.
It is really an annoying problem as it is a basic cell phone feature..Â
I've read this is a 7.1.1 bug, but I'm not experincing since the update - only since the first reboot of 7.1.1 and only carrier sms. I don't think it is a carrier problem as from different users have this same problem. Â
I started to noticed all the people I was texting didn't write back I'm like. I came to realize I'm not receiving my texts but I'm able to send them and the other person received them.
Since updating my iPhone my battery doesent last a day and I'm not receiving a lot of texts sent by people on iMessenger. Never had this before and not using my phone anymore than normal.
I have aol mail and it is set up properly. The only way I know I have new email is when I go into the mail app and touch the refresh arrow. Then it loads. In addition, I do not get Badges, despite Badges being correctly set up in Notifications. Push is also on. I have the latest operating system.
IPhone 3GS not receiving calls tonight they are going straight to voicemail. The handset rings but when I answer the phoneline goes dead. Voicemail message is left. All other functions on phone working fine.
I receive some messages from some people but have had a few friends tell me they have sent me messages yet I am not receiving them. One friend even said when she sends me messages for some reason my e-mail shows up in the "to" field, but not my mobile number. When she starts a new message and uses my mobile number I do not receive it. I've tried clearing network settings, deleting messages and turning my phone off. Nothing seems to be working. Any thoughts?
I have successfully entered my email account so that I can still access my .mac email account after the iCloud transition (without transitioning just yet). My phone works fine and is continuing to receive emails after June 30. But my husbands is not. His laptop is receiving emails, but his iPhone hasn't received any since June 30.
Over the last 48 hours my iPhone 5S iOS8.1.1 is no longer receiving e-mails. I have tried all of the simple fixes suggested on this website including having deleted and then re-added my Yahoo account to no avail. I am able to do everything else with my phone as normal. My MacBook continues to receive e-mails as previously. I have received no error messages.
I have been receiving calls from a variety of numbers over the past few days at around 2AM. It first started on Monday and has continued through today (Thursday). When I call the numbers back in the morning a person (not some bot or telemarketer) answers and insists that they didn't call, but my iPhone displays the call history and such.
My wife's HTC One doesn't seem to be sending text messages to her friend's iPhone 5. Both phones are with AT&T and I can confirm the friend has tried imessage on and off to no avail. My wife can text other iPhone's fine, but this particular one won't receive them.
I got a text this morning from my sister and it has been repeating endlessly all day, I've had it about 700 times now and it's still popping up as a new message. I have to keep my phone on silent and turn notifications off just to get some peace and save the battery.
For some reason my iPhone 4 camera has started flashing when receiving calls, the alarm goes off, and now even when I am sent texts. I spoke with a guy at an Apple store and he said to back up and restore my phone - problem should be solved.
Unfortunately, I was on a trip and when I followed the directions at home it was to no avail. My phone is still flashing (which I might add is not a pleasant way to wake up).
this just started today, my iphone 4s no longer recieves emails, yet it can send them. I have an aol account, and it says it can't open the aol email address that I have saved on the phone, and it shows that the mail as not been updated since 1:42 am this morning. It shows its checking for mail but then just stops.my imessage just randomly stopped working now too. I checked the settings and it shows its on.
My iPhone 4s has stopped receiving texts. It will send them fine, voice calls can be sent and recieved fine. I have tried turning the phone off and restoring via iTunes.
My daughter took her sim card out of her iphone 3gs, but the phone is still receiving text messages. The phone works, but is pretty beat up, and she is now using an older phone she has till she can upgrade.
