I have a 4S I can see the messages but when I try to get them to play it will not do it. This is very bad as I am in the process of job hunting. Do I need an update? Is there an app I can use?

Just got a 4S. When I get a voicemail message, I can't actually play the message. Tapping the play/pause button on the far left of the message doesn't do a thing.

It does not go into a deleted folder, it is just gone. I started paying attention to the dates of the messages, wondering if it automatically deleted a message after 30 days. But today my messages from April 12 were gone. I can't find anyone else who has this problem! Sprint is my carrier.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4s has been updated to the iOS 5.1.1. Since then it will not play music or give a text message alert sound. We have restored the phone, we have toggled the mute switch, and we have rebooted using the home button and power down and nothing has worked. The volume does not adjust, there is no sound bar when pressing the sound control buttons along the side of the phone. When double tapping the home button on lock screen there is no sound bar. It will ring on incoming calls and the Speaker phone does work while in call. All of the volume controls will work correctly when the headphones are in music plays, text tone works, video sound works but as soon as they are removed it reverts back.
