I was researching the million threads on here about putting your own custom ringtone on the iPhone and none of them directly answered my question. Anyway my questions are these.
1. What are the FREE software to create ringtones? I currently have Fission are there any others?
2. When I made a very small ( 3 second ) ringtone and I sync my phone the small ringtone shows up under phone rings but not in my mms ringtones
I'm looking for a way to make my own ringtones (pick song, choose section of song I want, etc.) or a site that has a ton of ringtones ready to DL for free. The ringtones section of crackberry is nice but the quality of some of the songs I want is not good.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got the blackberry style, and before I realized that you could create a custom profile setting for the ringtones, I messed with the NORMAL setting and changed it all around. Is there a way to change it back to default or can someone tell me what its supposed to be at so I can change it back to where its supposed be and then I'll create my own custom setting?

I have tried it a bunch of different ways. The easiest way that I found was to use the free ringtone tool at mobilespin's website. Everything is done online (there is no software to download and install)Here is how to do it:
1- Go to mobilespin's website and click on the "Start Creating Your Own" button and then click on the Ringtone Tool link. This will take you to tool’s upload page.
2- Upload your MP3 or WAV file
3- Pick the start and end points of the ringtone you want to make and click on "Clip and Convert"
4- In the download page, you have 3 options - download to phone direct, download to PC and sync to phone and manual download to phone - The easier of the 3 ways, is to directly download to phone. If GPS navigation is now free, why limit most of your existing customers by exclusively providing it to select models and just provide everybody with licenses? I can not imagine that it would be difficult to create a license key generator and post it on the nokia web site.Can this happen?

in your contact list, i cant seem to fin out how to create a group. i am always sending pictures of my daughter to my parents and in-laws, it would make it easy to just type family, instead of finding everyones name.
i have the iphone4 with 4.0.1 on it. i can just have that one text open and it seemed to work well with the how merged texts when everyone replied back, but since the jb that function doesnt seem to work anymore. if someone replies to the text, their text goes to their text section, not to the text file for that conversation.

Of course it is not true, I have it connected, it will sync but not back up. I had old back ups from another iPhone, but I had to exchange it out for this one. I don't believe this will be possible but I figured I'd ask. At one time someone found a way to create a truly black icon by using a web site link. You would simply point your browser to this site and save the link to your desktop. You could do this as often as you wished, creating as many "blank" icons as you wished. This allowed you to "arrange" icons on each page in what ever configuration you wanted.
Now that you can set a background image having a "clear" link icon would be useful but I just don't see how it's possible.And no, I don't want to jailbreak to get this feature. I can deal with it if it's not possible.
