IPhone :: Does 4 Camcorder Zoom In More Then Camera?
Jun 27, 2010
I just got my Iphone 4 but I noticed when taking video the camera tend to zoom in more by default versus the camera default. Is this normal? ON my 3GS the video and camcorder zoom are at the same level.
it says could not start the camera. close other applications and try opening the camera again when i try to open the camera and when i try to open the cam corder says another application is using the camera. Cannot start video camera viewfinder.
All of a sudden neither app will open. After hitting either icon, the phone pauses a couple of seconds, and then blanks out the screen. It then sits like that indefinitely.
Since the software upgrade about a wek ago (4.5.621.MB810.Verizon.en.US), neither my camera nor camcorder work. When is Motorola going to fix this issue? And no, I'm NOT going to do a factory reset for a problem THEIR software caused.
Since the beginning, the camera/video functions have been sketchy. The camcorder would work about half the time. Then (unrelated, I think) my SD card blew out. I got a new, better SD Card (32G, class 4), and suddenly, my camera/video was working much better. THEN, a few months later, both completely siezed up. The camera app would start, but in seconds, it would lock up, the picture display would lock, and I couldn't do anything. Same goes for the camcorder app. So, I then downloaded and tried out a few camera apps from the Play Store. all of which worked.
My camera and camcorder don't work, I take a photo with the camera and it does all the right things but does not save the image, the camcorder pushes you out of the camcorder screen when you push the record button and back to the home screen, I have tried to clear the Cache data under phone settings. If I turn the phone off and on again it works fine for a little bit but I shouldn't have to do this everytime I want to take a photo or movie.
For those of you with an iPhone 4, open your camera app. Compare the zoom for pictures vs video. Why does video appear to be more zoomed in? It doesn't detract from quality, does it?
Last week, I used the flash and zoom on my camera, everything was normal, the buttons were there. Now When I open the camera icon, I have just the button for the switch mode( front and back), no more zoom or flash options/buttons at the top of the screen camera.
It was just announced that the IPhone 4 will have zoom for the camera, but will this be real optical zoom, or will it simply be "digital" zoom? Digital zoom is so stupid - I can duplicate the effect of digital zoom by cropping the photo with photoshop afterward. Not only is digital zoom in effect the same a cropping a photo, but because the photo was cropped from the get-go, you have LOST information that you might have wanted. What if you "zoomed in" and took the picture, but mistakenly chopped off the top of your subject's head? That portion of the head was actually being perceived by the camera's sensor, so you could have had a complete photo, but it is now lost forever thanks to digital zoom.
I used the camera on my phone and was able to zoom in and out before but now it wont let me zoom in and out and I tried the shortcuts that it came with but nothing works
how to zoom in when using the Torch 9860 camera? I just dont find any option thats pretty lame - my 3 years old non-smartphone had this simple feature.... If you know how this can be done on blackberry torch 9860
So i realized or maybe I'm just missing it, that there is no zoom function on the default camera but i have ProCapture and it lets me zoom... So is the camera technically not supposed to zoom or what? I also don't understand why no one else has mentioned this because i couldn't find anything about it.
I received the S5 yesterday, love this phone BUT the cog wheel icon is missing from the camera screen. I cannot zoom in or out and cannot find it anywhere in options. How do I get it?
Camera Zoom FX (the paid version) is considered by many to be the best camera app for Android. However it still does not allow the Lollipop user to save the images to the SD card. Other camera apps easily allow to do so but Camera Zoom is still operating in the KitKat days. Whenever I try to set the save location it seems to think my phone still has KitKat and will not allow it to save to my SD card. Other camera apps do let me save to the SD card.
