Firstly, My IPhone has only dropped its connection once and the rest of the time it has worked fine so I have no complaint about the phones performance. There are people having problem though and I hope I do not get them in the future. It seems to me Apple should have not released a flawed product. The bars are displayed incorrectly and many people are having connection issues which is hardware issue with the antenna.
Now I understand that the main argument is that it would free up some traffic for the 24th when people were activating through Itunes, but I've heard from several Iphone 4 early owners that the activation process was just as slow as the times when the 3GS came out. And at the same time, would releasing maybe 15%-20% of the phones early, free up that much traffic for launch day.
I've also heard the conspiracy theory from Addictive Tips, which doesn't hold much water. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=947533 What do you think the reason was that led Apple to release the phone up to two days before the actual launch date?

My iphone 4 is cracked on both sides. It worked fine but eventaully the screen faded out and i can no longer even turn the phone on. What are the repair costs for this? and is an Apple store recommeded or will an iphone fixer on craigslist be cheaper?
I am trying to sync my iphone and itunes is preset to an email account with no contact. I want to switch to a different email account to sync to but can't find a way to change the email already listed. Any ideas?
Did anyone elses facebook stop pushing updates or even notifying you of any when you open the app unless you refresh? Or was it just me? Maybe a fresh install would help.
For instance the typical "tic" touch sound sometimes sound like a "poc" sound or distorted, some other sounds like WhatsApp or Facebook sounds sometimes sound distorted as well or simply don't sound at all. Is it me or what?
I'm planning on selling my Bold 9700 which is currently use on Fido, and a friend wants to buy it from me. He is also on Fido. Will I need to call Fido to get the my PIN release or can I just leave it since it is on the same carrier?
Why Sony is releasing the update by countries? Why Sony do not just release the update globally? Is there some problem like a overloading the servers with updates? I understand that sony is releasing the updade for only few phones at the same time, but the releasing over the countries is not understandable.
There is no data about the releasing new Russian-languaged Android 4.0 for Xperia mini pro and some other xperia models in Ukraine or in Russia. Official Russian Sony blog says, that such software has already been released. But neither PC Companion, nor internal phone upgrading tool displays the possibility to download the upgrade. how long have I left to wait untill I download Android 4.0 in Ukraine.
annot get iphone 4 to link to xm skydock product. I have reset all settings, rebooted iphone, redone default settings, cleaned terminals, and it still cannot connect to skydock, my friends iphone 3 works flawlessly. Im assuming this is an apple operating system problem ios5.1. I have done everything i can do, i am very disappointed that apple wishes to charge to speak to a representative when it is their crappy software that doesnt work. Not impressed!
I bought the iPhone4S and AppleCare protection plan with Sprint when it came out in October. A little under a month ago, my phone was stolen while I was downtown and I purchased another iPhone through Sprint. They told me to contact Apple to see about getting my AppleCare plan transferred to the new product. I've searched around and called but the automated system is not doing too much to help me find my answer. I want to switch the plan to my new phone, since I am no longer in possession of my old phone and I don't really want anyone else to be able to gain anything more at my expense.
After using either BB Maps or endomondo when I launch the app it will not find my location. Maps responds "location within 5 km" and endomondo says "no GPS".Fix has been a reboot, but that takes a long time.

Are the phones sold with product codes that are given to certain carriers and resellers? Or are phones with different product codes physically different in some way?And what is with the E72-1, E72-2, E72-3 nomenclature? Is that region specific?
I bought a Nokia N95 8GB very recently in Jan'10. I bought it with so much of confidence that I'm making a worthy purchase. But my happiness didn't last long:Last weekend, the display stopped working for apparently no reason. When I took it to the service center, they told me that the LCD display is cracked and had to be replaced.
They also told me that this is not covered by warranty. Under normal circumstances, I would have agreed to this. But in this case, I had never once dropped the phone down or put it under any heavy weight to cause the display to crack as it appears (the phone is in fact free of any scratch or dent). In fact, I have been continuously using the phone with the pouch that was given with the phone. Moreover, its been just a month since I bought it.
What is most concerning is the kind of responses and info. that I got to hear from the person at the Nokia service centre: 1) He hinted that this is an outdated, discontinued model.
2) The phone sales should have stopped nearly 8 months ago. He was surprised that I bought just last month.
3) He hinted that its a failure model that Nokia might now be offloading in the market for cheaper price (vendors buy this model, strip the brand and sell it at far lower prices).
The way he went about the whole affair was 'Oh, this issue? OK, I know about this. But its a display breakage. I don't care and I will charge as per the book. I'm sorry that you bought this phone.'I was completely taken aback by such attitude and information. I was made to feel that I have been somehow duped to buy this model.
This was also confirmed when the vendor from whom I bought the phone showed surprise that I could have bought this phone last month. Because the model is no longer sold in the store. It's only available in the vendor's website at nearly 50% discount.I'm shocked that a phone that I bought so recently as one month back, would not work. What's more shocking is the kind of replies that I have hear from the Nokia Service Center itself.
I have tried seeking some valid, relevant answers from the Nokia customer care centre as well as from the AskNokia forum. What I have been receiving so far are standard template-based emails and responses. Such responses don't seem to be taking cognizance of what's being told in their own service centers.
My questions are:
1) Was I wrong in selecting this model? Is it a model that has such troubles as hinted by the service centre?
2) Why would the LCD display crack like this without any physical damage done to them? I have seen phones which have been dropped quite often and still work well without such damages.
3) Given the sentiment about this model, what is the guarantee that if I change the display, it will not crack again for unknown reasons?
4) Which is the right redress forum in Nokia which can provide a more sensible, relevant reply?
I'm sorry that my first post in Nokia had to be of such a bad experience - I was a consistent user of Sony Ericcsson mobile phones. Though I didn't have any major complaints with their handsets, I really liked the N95 8GB and made a switch to Nokia. It's needless to say that this experience has left a bitter taste.
Xperia ST18i, ray is getting overheated and there is battery problem and many other complaints. They changed the " Motherboard and Resoftwared " it. but now there is more problems than that. The Memory card is not reading, screen cannot be unlocked, takes minimum 8 hours for full charging, status switch is showing wrong battery charge percentage, the status led is not working properly, range problem, etc.
The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?
I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
