I cannot get ringtons on incoming calls to work on my new IPhone.
Have I overlooked a mute button, because I have no sound except when I try different ringtones?

I have tried the Sounds settings without luck. The phone indicates an incoming call on the screen, but the neither the ringtone nor the vibrate work. Any other settings to look at?

I assumed this was done in Settings->Sound->Default notification, but texts still come in with the original factory default tone. This is not good since I have so much trouble hearing the tone and subsequently miss texts. Do you have to set the tone and restart the phone? I've had a similar problem with ringtones as well. You set a custom ringtone for a contact, it acknowledges that the tone is set, but the tone that's played for the contact is the default. I'm honestly starting to regret getting this phone. I'm running the most recent firmware for the Photon Q 4G LTE (7.7.1Q-6_SPR-125_ASA-10). Unfortunately, the issue existed prior to the update and is still a problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe've upgraded successfully our two US Moto X Pure Edition devices to Marshmallow yesterday. After upgrade completed, the numbers of calling contact are not being recognized anymore, although these contact exists and saved in android's Contact app, and backed up in Gmail accounts. Also, all incoming and outgoing calls in the call log are not recognized, although they were recognized before the upgrade.
This is very critical for us, since one of the phones is used as a business phone and it's crucial for us to know who's calling.
Can Receive incoming calls but cannot make outgoing calls. Plus texting is working find both incoming and out going.

My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at �1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages.It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe ringtones I have assigned to several of my contacts no longer work when the people call me. The tones are in my itunes and stored on the iphone, but will the only tone working for the contacts is the default tone. They worked fine until a few weeks ago, and I have done all sorts of trouble shooting but nothing has worked. Apple said the files for my custom tones were corrupt and I had to fix that which I did. However, even if I assign a regular tone i.e. Marimba, it still will not ring if the default is another tone.
