IVe been getting robot sales calls many times a day. Im on the do not call list and I've filed several complaints but the calls keep
COming. The calls come from 4 or 5 distinct (out of state) numbers. I thought I might save them to my address book and assign a "no ring" to them. But there's no option for that. I'm stuck with hearing some kind of ring if I use that method
My workgroup will be getting an iPhone to test. Can we assign a certain ring tone to an incoming email if there is a specific word in the email's subject line?
What can I do to make a contact ring when the phone is still on silent? Like when you were able to make different soy d profiles on the blackberry you were so able to set a contact ring when the phone is on silent
Has anyone come across an app yet that will allow the phone to still ring even in silent mode?
I want to be able to NOT hear any of the emails or texts at night when I go to sleep but at the same time, I want to be able to have the phone ring through from certain contacts - in case of emergencies from my parents or my son.
2 days ago i was stuck in rain n my mobile (iphone 5) got wet and n later on i found the ring/silent switch not working. my phone is on vibration mode even if i m switching it to ring mode, ring mode is nt working at all. Â
is it software problem or hardware problem or something else such as water damage
How about in addition to being able to assign specific ringtones to contacts -- to even assign a ringtone for a text message from a particular contact?
I only received my Galaxy S2 today so am very new to this, I want to have my own ringtone instead of the ones already set up on phone, on previous phones I've just been able to assign any of my music to ring tone but I cannot seem to that with this
I suspect my ring/silent switch is not working properly as the phone vibrates whenever I touch the button and the phone sometimes vibrates indiscriminently.
how put on silent bb 9900 when ring into the hostles. for bb 9780 just press once on the right buton and make silent , but tuhs bb9900 has only once buton.
This is my first time with xperia phones. Silent/viration/ring. Toggle is missing in xperia z5. To go in vibration mode we have to press vol down key....
About two weeks ago my phone stopped ringing for calls and beeping for text messages.
Initially I thought it was a speaker issue however all other notification sounds work (email, Facebook, etc).
I have cleared the cache (which takes forever) and factory reset.
I have restored to having it vibrate always and having moto assist tell me "you have a new text message from A to read say read" or "A is calling you to answer say answer" etc. Which is not ideal in most settings.
I have tried setting it on every ring level, nothing. I have played with every setting, nothing.
I run a business from my personal phone. I have people calling in a few times a day to order products, but I also text on it all day. I keep it on silent because I text alot and I don't want it to drain my battery and be annoying all day on ringer or vibrate. How could I set it to be silent for text messages, and ring for phone calls?
Does this phone have a "silent" mode? In other words, can you set it so that it doesn't ring AND DOESN'T VIBRATE? My current phone only has ring and vibrate but no silent mode.
Is there a way to have the phone ring and have all other notifications either silent or vibrating? I use my cell as my primary phone and it would be nice while I sleep to hear the phone ring and not hear all the other sounds the phone makes for notifications and stuff like that.
I had a blackberry prior to this phone and I was able to easily do that with sound options. I don't see the same option with this phone.
I am a long term blackberry user but I am at a loss as to what I have done to my 9700. The ring tone just will not work or at least when someone calls me its silent. I have gone through every profile and rebooted a thousand times, but it just wont work. Any ideas?
Verizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.
my BlackBerry Tour has a habit of playing my custom ring tones despite the fact I have the phones volume set to silent in the active profile. This is a behavior I have spent about two hours trying to correct and have been unable to discern a viable solution anywhere. I've got into the settings for the ring tones, theoretically they should be silent along with everything else but it doesn't matter, they continue to play. Normal ring tones do play silently, or rather those numbers to which I have not assigned a custom ring tone.
I work on call and my employer calls me from an Unknown Number on a regular basis, I'd like to know if there's any way to assign a specific ring tone to "Unknown Number" incoming calls without having to go thru my entire contact list and assign all my contacts with a different ring tone?I have a BB Bold 9900, BB7 OS Bundle 1355 on Bell...
Put your Nokia N900 on Silent. Now call your mobile and when the calling screen appears hit the loudspeaker key. Clicking this key will cut out even the vibrations on the Nokia N900, but the phone you are calling from will still hear a ringing tone.End the call from the other phone. Now put the Nokia N900 back on General profile. Call the N900 again from another phone. This time you will not hear a ring tone even though you are back on General profile. (I've checked and my volume was on full)
Atleast this is the problem I'm getting at the moment. Apologies if this problem has been covered elsewhere. I've tried to find it but couldnt so will appreciate if someone can paste a link to it here. The problem goes away if you restart the N900, but I'm hoping this problem can be fixed.
Okay folks the problem here is exactly what it sounds like: my BlackBerry Tour has a habit of playing my custom ring tones despite the fact I have the phones volume set to silent in the active profile. Again this is a problem for me at work, so I'd really appreciate any guidance, it has been very difficult to find.
A few months ago on my 3G, I tried switching my silent switch over and it wouldn't stay silent. The switch does go fully to the left side, but it doesn't do the typical vibrate and show the silent graphic on the phone. BUT if I ever so slightly nudge it to the left it does go to silent but there is no way to keep it in place.
It is almost as if there is something in the way or maybe there is a short? My warranty is no longer valid, but the phone is in perfect condition, has been cased. It makes no sense.
Anybody have any advice, because I would like to sell the phone soon but obviously do not want to sell it without the silent working. I guess I could go to a cell phone repair shop but they charge a $30 diagnosis fee and then apply that to the repair. I do not want to get screwed.Anybody have ANY advice or experience with the switch conking out on them. Any home remedies?
I set my iPhone 4s on silent every day for work. In the last few days any text messages and phone calls have been playing out loud. I've only had the phone two months. It also randomly vibrates for no apparent reason sometimes repeatedly.
Ok so i bought a BB 9630 Tour couple days ago. and i have a question.so i set my girlfriend as a specific ringtone. but i usually use silent when i am at home, and one day she called me and guess what, the phone rang.so here is the question, how do you make the contact ring when it is in like when my normal is activated BUT NOT MY SILENT. cuz when i do silent and when she calls me and my phone rings... it doesnt really make sense cuz i put it as in silent.
Ok, so I'm trying to work out how the silent modes work on my Z3. I'm failing. Â So it seems you can press the volume key and by clicking the 'bell' icon I can scroll through 3 different modes: Loud, Vibrate and Silent. Â Seems simple enough, only none of these modes silence apps or games at all. Â I just want to put my phone on silence/vibrate and know that even apps and games will be silent too. Â I thought I could put into vibrate mode and slide the media volume down to zero and it would rememeber it... then putting back into loud mode would make media slider go back to normal volume?... Nope, I have to change it back to loud mode and remember to slide the media volume back to normal...
