I plugged my iphone 3 into my imac for the first time in a few months just to fix my apps in folders and dump some photos into iphoto. It said it needed an update to 5.1 so I said ok. Took 30 minutes, so when came back it was restoring everything and then when it finished asked if it wanted to go back to a new iphone or a version from january...so all my pix are gone beause of an update...?
Restored my iPhone to sell it today. My SIM was still in the phone when I did the restore and after it restored and restarted it still had my number when I clicked on "iPhone" in iTunes. Even without the SIM it still reads my number, is this because the phone was automatically activated with the SIM in it after the restore?
So i decided to make my iPhone legit again and when i restored my phone from back-up, i noticed it still had a custom bar from 'MakeItMine' Cydia app, how could i change this back to the original O2-UK without jailbraking again, changing it on MakeItMine and then restoring again?I read on another thread that you could restore as new then it would go, but what happens when you do this?
Q1: Will it delete all my apps and music off my mac?
Q2: Will it remove my account set-up with my iPhone?
Q3: Will i loose all my mobile number contacts?
PLEASE HELP, I WANT NO SIGN OF JAILBREAK ON MY IPHONE!!
So I have a 3GS that had a broken screen. I paid my telco to have it replaced with a refurbished handset. The replacement was plugged into a Windows PC with iTunes & unbricked. No problems there. It didn't get used for about 3 months & when I tried to charge it, it was dead! Meanwhile, the 90 days warranty on the handset has lapsed & I can't get it replaced or anything without paying again.I have tried restoring the handset many times & I get different error messages depending on how I do it.If I just plug it into my PC (running Windows Vista) & do a normal restore in iTunes the error message is (-1).If I put it in DFU mode & then do a restore in iTunes I get error 1602.If I use iREB to put in DFU mode & then restore using a downloaded ipsw file I get error 3194.I have tried doing the above on two PC's running Windows Vista & still always getting errors.I am using the latest version of iTunes (updated yesterday - 30th March 2012)I am not sure what OS is on the handset. The latest thing to happen is that when it gets to "Restoring iPhone firmware..." it seems to just hang at the very last bit. Then after a long time just left sitting there plugged in, it eventually comes up with error 1002.
2 weeks ago my iphone 4 started acting funny. Everyday for whatever reason i would lose service and then it would say "connect to itunes " and I would have to restore the phone to its original factory settings. this went on for 3 days until finally it refused to be restored through itunes, and it was now not reading my sim card. so i went and got a new sim card at ATT , didn't solve the problem. So I took it to the apple store, they determined that it couldn't be restored and they gave me a replacment unit. well a few days later , the same thing has been happening . This is a completely different phone , and every 24 hours it needs to be restored.
bought phone today and restored from back up now wont turn on, constantly showing apple sign. have tried holding power and home button, also tried connecting to itunes.
I am using my brother's old iphone 3G, he said to restore and not to update the phone when I connected to my itunes. I updated then restored but now it appears to be wiped and the message on screen says could not activate phone??
I am trying to restore an iPhone 3 to a previous version. I keep getting the error message: "The backup "Angelo's iPhone" cannot be restored to this iPhone because the software on the iPhone is too old. To restore this iPhone from this backup, you must first set up the iPhone as new and restore the software to the latest version."
I have already done the following: -Updated my version of iTunes (current as of 6/17/12). -Restored the iPhone to factory settings. -Checked for updates, but it says the version is current.
im going to a concert and i would like to know if i could restore my iphone before the concert, take all of my pictures/videos, and then back up my phone
got an iPhone 4 which I'm trying to set up so it's childproof.. now I can set up good restrictions etc and turn off find my iphone so it can't be restored to factory settings remotely.. but if they plug it into itunes they can just reset it and overwrite all my fancy settings?Â
Is there any setting I can use in itunes or on the iPhone itself to prevent that?
How do I get my photo back after I restored my iphone5??? Ihave never did any backup or logged in iCloud before. Is it possible for me to get them back?? I use " find my iphone" and accidentally locked my iphone then I have to restore it to unlock it. But then I found out everything is gone after I restore my phone, is there anyway I could get them back??
I was wondering that if I were to purchase apps such as BiteSMS and Lockinfo, what would happen if I restored my phone to update and then did another jailbreak? Would I have to repurchase the apps?
Anyone going thru this with me? My iphone 4 has been shutting down. I updated the software, which was supposed to address the issue. Didn't help. I have done multiple hard resets and restored the software, losing all my apps ( which really annoys me). I think it is a software issue and something to do with iCloud too. I've noticed that on my home screen, the battery icon is not showing green at all. But if I go to one of the icons, say Messages, then correct battery amount shows up. If I do a restore to the computer, the home screen shows correct battery life. If I restore to iCloud, the battery is showing as dead on the home screen.
Apple would you please fix this??? I'm in New Zealand, I have to pay to have this fixed at a store, and I'm not convinced they will be able to fix it until Apple fixes the bug. But what would you do, people?
