Changed my passcode lock from letters back to numbers. I know what numbers i picked for the lock but the phone won't let me in! Tried a number of combinations but none worked! Has it ever happened that an iPhone won't let you in with the correct passcode? Does it usually malfunction when you switch back to numbers? And most importantly - is the only solutioin to reset the phone???
I plugged my iphone 3 into my imac for the first time in a few months just to fix my apps in folders and dump some photos into iphoto. It said it needed an update to 5.1 so I said ok. Took 30 minutes, so when came back it was restoring everything and then when it finished asked if it wanted to go back to a new iphone or a version from january...so all my pix are gone beause of an update...?
My Iphone has shut down and I tried to connect it to itunes where it could see my phone but it was in recovery mode and is says I have to restore it in order to use it with itunes. When I try to do this is starts normally but durring the proccess it stops and gets out an error, error 28.
Restored my iPhone to sell it today. My SIM was still in the phone when I did the restore and after it restored and restarted it still had my number when I clicked on "iPhone" in iTunes. Even without the SIM it still reads my number, is this because the phone was automatically activated with the SIM in it after the restore?
I read on the front page how others were having the proximity issue like I was and that if you did a reset of settings then it could fox it. So I went ahead and did that. I went in and started changing all my settings back and I realized that the only option I had for my passcode was to require it immediately and not after 5 min like I usually do. I've done some searching and saw that a google or exchange account could cause this. But I only have mobile me.So that can't be it. The only other option I've seen is to do a complete restore.Whig I'd really like to stay away from. Does anyone have any ideas?
I can't remember my passcode for my Iphone and it is disabled. How can I fix this? I also plug phone into itunes and it says phone is locked due to wrong passcode.
My sister-in-law received a new iPhone 3GS from a co-worker who already had one. She gave it to me. It has never been activated or anything. The message on the screen says, "iPhone is disabled. Try again in 22,168,144 minutes".... WHAT? It will only make emergency calls. I only wanted it for my kid to use it as an iPod, and to transfer Aps from my iTunes that I use for my own iPhone 4G. Is there any way to gain access, without having AT&T set it up as a phone?
I accidentally locked my phone last night and this morning I wanted to use my phone but, it was asking for a passcode. I didn't remember a passcode and thought if I did I'd make it something really simple like 0000 but, it wouldn't open it. Everytime I tried a new code, it kept pushing the time back that I could try again and now it says try again in 60 minutes. I can't use my phone at all
when i turned my iphone on it wouldnt let me enter my passcode but still lets me make emergency calls. It then shows up with a sign saying restore needed however when i connect my iphone to itunes it says i need to enter my passcode but it doesnt let me do that so does anybody know what i can do to fix the problem if that makes sense?
put on my zoom and I have a passcode.my phone locks every 5mins and it locked me out. Making it impossible for me to type in my passcode. Now after so much attemp my phone has been disabled. What do I do to disable and remove the zoom without getting to the Menu?
I have never set a passcode on my iPhone 4s.I do have a passcode for when my phone goes to sleep, but when I go to Settings/General/Restrictions, my passcode does not work. I always get the Try Again in 60 Minutes message. Is there a factory preset passcode that I need to know about?
