I have an iPhone 5s, it states that the user id or password is incorrect. I have changed nothing and can get into my accounts from other devices. Heres the kicker, it will receive new emails, but will not send. I have deleted and re-added the accounts with no luck. It still receives but will not send.
View 2 Replies View Relatedabout 6 months ago my mother in law purchased an Iphone. I set up her email for her using a pop 3. At the time I could not get the godaddy outgoing email server to work so I used my local ISP provied outgoing smtp server with my user name and password.
Now my mother in law moved to a different sate and she got a new iphone but my outgoing mail server still shows up as the primary outgoing mail server so she still needs my user name and password.
Also on my iphone I noticed there are 8 "other smtp servers" in addition to the primary. I want to delete them all.

AT&T Outgoing Server cwmx.com is not working for me at all any more. Around June 7th, it just stopped working. I keep getting the, "No server response". I have an iPhone 4G, OS5.1.1 I deleted the cwmx.com outgoing server and readded which did not help. I deleted the "pop" email accounts and readded them which did not help. I reset the network settings; the factory settings; then restored the phone back to a date previous to the problem. None helped.

I have a gmail account that I use on my iPhone, and a work email address with it's own domain. I forward a copy of all work email to my gmail account so I can receive it on my iPhone, but when I reply to work email, the Reply To address is my gmail address. Anyone know how to change this to reflect my work address? (ie: joe@abc.com)

What is incoming and outgoing mail server on adding a new emial account?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using Gmail as the default email on my phone for ages. Today, for some reason, it didn't allow outgoing mail. It said "sending failed", then I got a message saying Gmail stopped activity from this unrecognized device and unsafe app. I followed the url it gave, and selected the option to say that was my device, but it still wouldn't allow it. I went on to Google to see if I could find a solution. I read that I should change my password, so I did. Then I tried to change my phone email setting to have the new password, but it won't let me, saying "authentication failed".
I have scanned my device and uninstalled apps I had recently downloaded, but could this be due to some sort of malware? I have been getting tons of bad popups when I was on fb lately (Congratulations! Your profile has been selected...), as well as fb errors so I'm wondering if this is related?
Orig Motorola Q thru PP How to get outgoing e mail..i have an original Motorola Q, using Page Plus Unlimited talk and text with 20mb data. My e mail account (unfortunately) is with Road Runner.Have set up e mail accounts with all correct Pop3 server settings, I can receive road runner e mail but not send, what/who do I need to set outgoing smtp to ?? Apparently this is a confirmed outgoing e mail issue with roadrunner, as they do not allow you to use mobile for this, only let you use your static isp pop 3 outgoing server address for your pc
View 4 Replies View RelatedUpgraded my BB to a 9900 recently and I can't get one of my email addresses working for outgoing mail (incoming works fine). On past BBs I've had this email account working great, but I had to specify separate incoming and outgoing mail servers, including the ports. On my 9900 I can only specify one mail server. how to change the email settings to allow for different incoming and outgoing mail servers?... Enterprise email and gmail works like a charm.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust recently made the android switch for the first time so I'm pretty new to some things that may be obvious to others. I recently found out that I can only receive emails and cannot send outgoing emails through my icloud account.
Now I have read that my security type could also be set to SSL (accept all certificates), TLS, and TLS (accept all certificates). These are my only options. My port number is apparently supposed to be 587, however my device tells me it "cannot safely connect to server". how I can change my port number ?
I have an email account at optonline.net (could be optimum.net, too). Motorola's support section says that Optimum recommends using a browser to access mobile email (what???? I have to go get it??? It won't come to me???) but then provides the settings to use in the email app. Using auto configuration, I'm receiving my email in seconds, but I can't send email from the phone. I've tried to configure it manually (the automatic configuration provides the wrong name for the outgoing server) but so far, no combination of settings has resulted in my ability to send an email from optimum on my Droid Razr.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been using my N8 with my virgin mail account happily for about a year. Recently I've found that outgoing messages are getting stuck in the outbox. They sometimes send (several days later) after I have restarted my phone. I thought I would try removing the mail box and starting again, after a couple of attempts the mail box was removed, but when I tried to set it up again.
It seemed to hang in the middle of the task and I ended up with a mail box with a string of hexadecimal numbers as the mailbox name. Now I cannot remove it : whenever I try to remove it, I get as far as 'removing mailbox' and then it just hangs there (have left it overnight). Possibly related, I have had a couple of messages recently about phone memory being full, but if i look at it through file manager it has 116MB free, and nothing in there which looks like it could obviously be removed.
i've just bought a xperia x10 mini pro... after reading the entire user guide, i still can't find the "counter" for total outgoing call time and outgoing sms. Anyone knows where to find this in the phone? previously when i was just W910i, this function was easily located.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy iphone mail app regularly requires restart to get mail flowing. That is it is running (doesn't crash) but will at time just stop getting email updates. I then have to force close the mail app (i.e. kill it) and then restart it. After restarting it the mail flows again.
Notes:
a) I do connect to Gmail for my mail - I'm using the IMAP facility for gmail currently (i.e. not the "Exchange" method)
b) I do also have the Google "Gmail" app running on my device too
c) on iPhone 3GS, latest version of IOS

When I'm out and about, I pick up my mail on my iPad and/or on my iPhone. I HATE having to sift through the duplicates. I know I can delete the emails from the server as they are being downloaded, and that would solve the problem between the iDevices. But I still want a copy of them downloaded into Outlook on my desktop for future reference, so deleting them from the server before Outlook gets ahold of them does not seem like a good idea.I currently have a POP3 account, but I could move onto an Exchange Server or into iCloud or something else if that would solve the problem.

In texts that I send to other people, the "from" name is no longer appearing as mine, but as though it's coming from my husband's iPhone. They are on different accounts and we have not made any changes to either through AT&T. It seems as though it's only happening between me and other people who are using the wireless messaging (blue text boxes).

I have iPhone 4s and I wish to stop the outgooing SMS sound which is annoying, especially at nights. I have disabled the option of SMS sound in Settings>Sounds>Text tones as None.
I have also disabled the option of sent mail in Settings>Sounds>Sent Mail to None. Still the Whooosh sound of outgoing SMS is not stopped.

iPhone 4S will not making outgoing calls. I don't know if I can get calls or not, but outgoing calls are a no go. It stays stuck on "calling" and never connects or says call failed. Can't even connect to voicemail, and all the messages I had saved are no longer listed on the voicemail screen. It's just blank, but I can't call voicemail manually because it won't connect. Texting seems to still work, sometimes. Occasionally, I'll get the "Message Send Failure" notice, but usually the texting works fine, even though the phone does not. I've restarted, rebooted, changed the date and time settings like I read somewhere, and nothing has worked. I'm running 5.1.1 and it is not jailbroken.

On 6/16/2012 and today, I received error message on my ios4 iphone when sending mail.
The error says unable to locate apple.smtp.mail.yahoo.com, where I am using yahoo mail server. I had been using more 1.5 years without issue.
The same goes to the ios4 device on my ipad. Is it relating to the changes in the apple configuration for the ios4 ?
