IPhone :: 4 Stopped Playing Sound?
May 10, 2012The sound on my iPhone 4 has stopped working unless it's connected to headphones or speakers. Won't play sound on its own.

IPhone :: 3g - Stopped Playing Thru Car Radio
Feb 9, 2010I've got a 3g and up until last Friday I was able to play my iPhones iPod and Aol Radio app thru a stero cable and into my cars radio.
But now it's stopped. It plays but it's very very low. I thought it was the cable so I had a friend play their iPhone into my car with the same stero cable and it works for them. But when I plug mine in it's low low low. I haven't updated to 3.1.2 or whatever the newest software version is.

Mar 12, 2012All of a sudden my iPhone 4S has stopped playing about 50% of my music. Moreover, it shows a different album cover than the song that is actually playing, that is when I can find a song that it will play. Very annoying.

Apr 1, 2012I was just listening to my itunes on my iphone 3GS. then all of a sudden there was no sound even though the track kept playing. I tried other tracks and playlists-no sound. I tried other apps, no sound. I adjusted the volume in general settings-no sound. I turned it off/on again-no sound. It didn't drop. I didn't even move. Volume is all the way up.

Sep 8, 2014My iPhone 4 has developed a problem - I get no sound at all, not through the speakers, or by plugging in the headphones.Â
No app sounds, no key sounds, no phone call sounds - nothing! Â
I've tried cleaning all the fluff out of the headphone jack and the dock connector, I've also tried a full restore.Â
One other odd thing that happens is that if I open the Music app, it has now started cycling forward through the track listing by itself.

May 30, 2012My 4s has all of a sudden stopped playing sound. I have a ringtone but no sound for music/movies etc. Tried turning on and of and letting bat go flat then recharging. Sound came back for a while then went again. I noticed this started soon after I upgraded to 5.1.1 . Ive also looked at the error reports the phone generates for apple and there are a few memory low notes.

Jun 24, 2012so my land rover has built-in bluetooth capability and is paired with my iphone. when i get into the car it connects and i can play my itunes through the car speakers and take calls etc .. all very nice.
when i get back in the house, all sound is gone from itunes and Internet etc...
i have tried a hard reboot.. nothing...
it seems to get stuck thinking it is still playing sound over bluetooth to my car?? that's all i can think of...

I press on the + - button in left navigation, it got no respond. If I play the game and I plug in the headset, I can heard the sound of the game.Â
I have try to reboot, and also trying to press the home and start button together until it reboot.

I was listening to music in the morning through headphones, charged my phone, and when I went to do it again in the afternoon the music will play through the speaker and not the headphones... Ive also tried double clicking the home button and swiping to that volume control but the nozzle disapeares when i touch it. May 3, 2012My iPhone4 used to be able to record video and sound perfectly well, then suddenly for no known reason it has stopped. It will record video on the camera but no sound will be recorded just a humming noise. There isn't a problem with the microphone because it will record sound on other apps. This problem also effects Face Time, I can see and hear people, but they can't seem to hear me. I have had the phone for around 6 months now. What should I do? Can it be fixed or will I need to get a new one?

(incoming email makes a sound, phone rings, text messages make a sound...) However, if I try to use any games/productivity apps or any other apps, there is no sound. I have checked each app and it says the sound is on, so I am really at a loss.Sort of a bummer when you have a timer set to ring after a certain amount of time, and it never makes a sound...

Dec 16, 2013I just got my new HTC one and copied few films from my PC to check out quality. Quality is great but no sound coming out sound is definitely working because i can play music files and demo movie files.
Its not playing .mkv files it seems... no problem with mp4's. I guess they need to be converted thats all...or maybe theres a player that will play mkv files ?

Xperia Z5 :: Sound Gets Distorted When Playing Music Every Now And Then
Oct 20, 2015I've had this phone for about a week now and just noticed that the sound gets distorted when playing music every now and then.
I listen to music on the way to work but after work when I try it, it's cracking/stuttering/skipping, basically unlistenable.
At first I thought it was black player but then the same thing happened on the music app. Different headphones didn't work, it's even happening on the speakers with headphones unplugged. But I've found it is only happening on music as I played a movie at the same time ; the music was shtting itself but the movie audio was fine.
The only sure fix is to restart the phone. Even then, after once I do something else and come back to music, it's all distorted again. Music is on internal storage. Don't have an sd yet...

May 17, 2015So I just got a new SD card for my Galaxy S5. SanDisk 32GB micro. It's set up on my phone to save my pictures and videos I take to the card. It works great so far, shot lots of pictures and video over the weekend and they view and play back flawlessly on my phone.
When I got home however I uploaded the files to my computer, but the videos only play sound. The videos file type still shows mp4. The pictures are fine.
When I view previously recorded videos on my PC from my phone from BEFORE I got the SD card, they view normally with full audio/visual playback.
I'm using Windows Media Player.
Ergo it's obviously something with the new card. Codec perhaps?
