Just called my local Apple Store to ask if they had any iPhone 4 in stock. When I asked, he said they didn't. I asked him if he knew when we would be getting any. He literally whispered "I would try coming in tomorrow at 2:30." Looks like I know where I'll be going.

I went to my local Apple Store in Jacksonville, FL. I went to take back my Apple Bumpers, I had 2 of them. They gave me my money back. Me and my wife had purchased 2 cases at Best Buy. I saw a Retail Associate, I said mam, do yall have any cases for the iPhone 4? She said NO, with a tone, we only carry bumpers, with a tone, a bumper is all you need. It was like she read a script to me.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got off the phone with my local Apple store here in New York and asked them if my reserved iPhone 4 would still be there when I get out of work at 4 to pick it up.He told me to call back on Wednesday to make sure that they are not releasing reservations, but he thinks it will be held for me. He said that they're not sure if they are going to be releasing reserved phones to customers.In my opinion, them releasing reserved phones to the public is pretty crappy and doubt it will happen, but you never know. Call your local Apple store and see know what they say. We're probably going to get different stories.

The manager (who I was speaking with) said that they would probably get another shipment at the end of NEXT week. Can anyone confirm this with their local Apple store? I have been phone-less for about a week now and can't afford another week.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI placed two iPhone 4s (32gb) on reserve at the Apple store last Friday evening. They estimated it would be approximately 2 weeks before they came in. I just received notice that the phones are in and I have until COB tomorrow (Friday) to pick them up. This was a no-committment on my part reservation - the Apple guy said pick them up if I want them, don't if I don't. I will probably just cancel these since I also and placed an order with AT&T on Tuesday. That order is supposed to be 7-10 days but now I'm wondering if the order from AT&T might come earlier than predicted.

I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
My company surprised me with one so I don't need the one I purchased.

i have a 4.0.2 straight from the apple store. I've been reading that its still possible to JB by downgrading to 4.0.1, however, you would need to save your SHSH blobs first. The problem is that this phone has never been JB'd before. So are the blobs specific to a firmware? Or are they just specific to your phone? Will it be possible to get the blobs using umbrella tool, then just download 4.0.1 pointing it to the cydia server then install and sign 4.0.1 that way? Or am i screwed for now?

I'm guessing that they will probably sell out the morning of the 24th. Do the Apple stores get to replenish their stock daily ...a couple times a week ... once a week?

She said "it looks like we have enough phones in stock for everyone in line now" or something like that. I'm wondering, for those who have waited in Apple Store lines, do they do the same thing? I'm sure there will be many more than 20 people in line, but I would hate to be #93, only to find out hours later that they only had 90 phones in stock for walk-ins.

the lady told me, just because I have a reservation for the phone, it doesn't guarantee me from getting the phone. I'd still have to go wait in the line. Even the people that don't have the reservation could be in front of me as long as they get there earlier than me.
AND, according to that "genius", Apple store don't give you discount on iphones even with you are suppose to get it with early upgrade. So, if you want to get an iphone from the store, you are paying full price.
If you buy an iPhone from the apple store do they force you to activate it in store or can you tell them that your just gonna activate it at home?

After picking my plan (I am an existing AT&T customer) it said can not pre order online please visit a store. Then let me pick from 3 local stores. I picked one and it sayed bring government id on June 24th. Did it go through? I am I suppose to get a confirmation. Can I check? Was I suppose to put money down?
