I prefer the good ol' Nexus Gallery over Photos app. Also coming from an LG that has a stock email app, it would be nice to have one like that so I dont have to use Gmail for everything. How I can get the old Gallery app installed again?
View 9 RepliesIf I ask GOOGLE to set a timer for 15 minutes, I get a response of, "No timer installed." Prior to getting my 6P, I could do this all the time on my One Plus. I am wondering if I inadvertently shut it off or restricted it in a setting?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my 6P to my desktop, it installs the drivers, but it won't show up on my computer. I can't access any of the data. It charges but no actual transfer. I have changed the setting to MTP, tried installing new drivers, Android Debugging toggled (adb push works oddly enough), installing Google drivers, but nothing seems to work!
Also to note: My brother's Nexus 6 won't connect, and neither will my other brother's OnePlus One. It makes me think it has something to do with standard Android devices?
I'm on Windows 8.1 FYI.
The title pretty much explains it. I just finished installing CM13 on my Nexus 6P, but realised I'd downloaded the wrong GApps, so booted up into CM13 (Worked fine) and then downloaded the newest GApps into internal storage (Which was NOT empty when I connected over USB to my PC) yet when I went to flash the new GApps, TWRP tells me that I have nothing in my internal storage folder. I'm confused as to how that could happen.

View 22 Replies View RelatedSo I purchased a new nexus 6 a couple months back.. every so often pictures that other people have taken with their camera are showing up in my photos. I thought it might be a Bluetooth thing since I just got a pebble watch, but yesterday I received a picture that was taken at a local park a few miles away. I thought it was maybe a room mate messing with me, but they are just a freaked out by it as I am. It is very disconcerting to know that I am receiving other peoples photos that they have taken with their camera. Are other people getting mine? I can not find anything on the internet that would constitute receiving others camera pictures. I thought it might be an app, but then local people playing disc golf-- their pictures were coming on to my phone.. It has happened a handful of times.. maybe 10 pictures total. I am going to call some sort of customer service tomorrow.

I am not able to send any photos as attachment in whatsapp when using Gallery app. However, if I long hold the gallery icon, it enable me to choose Photos app and send the file from that app. Feels so annoying have to long hold the icon everytime I want to send photos.

View 24 Replies View RelatedIt appears that the Photos app (not the Gallery app) doesn't share to Facebook properly. I select a photo (or photos) and hit the share button, select Facebook. It thinks about it for a few seconds, then the Facebook post screen appears but with no photos attached.
If i do it from the Gallery app then everything works fine.
I don't have an HP printer so I went to the HP Print service app to disable it. While doing so the system asked me if I wanted to use the Factory Installed Service instead.

my recovery after I installed the latest android version(also installed custom rom and elementalx kernel, but I don't think it has anything to do with it), when I try to flash recovery, it works basically, but whenever I start the phone it automatically goes into recovery, and the only way to fix it is to flash another boot.img file, it reboots fine when I do it, but then I don't have recovery only the dead red triangle thing (Don't give me the power+vol fix, that's not the solution I'm looking for, as its not a very useful recovery), I tried to flash few recoveries/other boot.img files, but none of them boot regulary + recovery is working..I doubt its a problem with the boot.img I try to flash, because I tried so many and it didn't worked, anyway.

Draft a txt and then send to multiple recipients without each recipient being able to see the other? Basically the same thing as sending an email to multiple people via BCC option.
Would be handy for business purposes. I don't care if they see my contact. I just don't want them to see eachothers contact since not everyone I'd send to would know the other (and/or want their contact information shared).
Obviously I could copy and paste the same message to multiple people via individual txt msgs... but being able to send a group txt would be way more efficient.
I got my Nexus 6P in australia yesterday and I was playing around with the settings. One of the things I wanted to enable was Now on Tap but everytime I try and enable it (either through holding the home button, or doing it through Settings), it won't enable! When I click Get Started, nothing happens. If i'm in the settings app, the toggle just turns off after I press Get Started.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am rooted on stock 6.0.1 with ElementalX kernel. I have Xposed installed, but I've tried disabling all modules. I've tried deleting the stock clock data and cache. There are no alarms set or off. I've checked the alarms.db file and there are no entries.
How do I get rid of the icon and lock screen info? I only have the Google Clock installed.
The only Google result says to do a battery pull on a different device. Can't really pull the battery on this phone, though.
I tried to install Cataclysm ROM, and then it went into some sort of installer, after that I tried to reboot, but TWRP said it didn't have any OS?? So i tried to boot it up anyway? but nothing, just stuck on Google Logo. After that I tried to boot into TRWP agian. But then TWRP says "Mount Decrypt Data" and then i have to enter a password?? but i removed my pattern lock before flashing.
Because i made a Nandroid and i read i had to remove the password before making a backup. But then i just press cancel. Then it says " Unmodified System Partition" "Swipe to Allow Modifications" and i do that. Now i have nothing on my SD card?? Then i thought i could flash stock through Fastboot/ADB, but now it won't see my device in ADB? I have updated my drivers, both by Google and Intel But nothing? so i cant return to stock and can't boot up.
Some how i got i to reboot by an ADB command and then i could flash factory image and return to stock.
I've noticed something since I got my phone and that is that certain notifications (Snapchat and Messenger are the main 2 for at the moment) will not make a sound unless my phone is either: Unlocked or locked with the screen turned on. Sometimes I won't get even get the notification until I actually unlock my phone which then all the notifications (sometimes 10+ messages in a facebook group) will pop up and vibrate my phone multiple times.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed CM12 on my Nexus 5 two month ago and it works fine. But I have the problem that it doesn't react when I press the powerbutton to wake it up from deepsleep mode. Then I could only reboot it.
I changed the "network type" in the settings to "3G" because my provider only supports it and I thought it could solve my problem. But it also hangs up the phone anymore.... I adapted the settings of the phone in the following way:
- Installed "Apex Launcher" as the default one
- Installed Klear Kat CM12 as Theme
- Additional Apps are: Greenify and SD Maid
I just tried the following steps to fix the problem:
1 . Installed another Launcher instead of "Apex Launcher" ---> I had the problem anymore with the other Launcher
2. Installed Open Gapps "nano" instead of "micro" ---> it ran without any crashes of the phone for a period of time. But now I have the problem again....
3. I wiped "cache" and "dalvik cache" again in TWRP --> System was clean and ran for a while. But after a period of time the problam "came back"
When I'm at home in my Wifi I doesn't have any problems with the phone to wake it up from deepsleep. Lastly I installed CM13 and had done an Fullwipe before... But I've the problem anymore .... I've the feeling that the phone looses it's reception and then the Launcher hangs and can't get up of his own....
when I open my camera it shows only camera logo and the shot button at the bottom. it happned on stock and I am now on purenexus and the same. what can I do. (its not hardware because camera is working after few seconds when restart and than its crashes)
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been on the Pure Nexus rom for a while now and I wanted to try out the Screw'd Rom. So I downloaded and installed said rom. When It boots up and goes to the setup wizard I get no network data what so ever. I looked through the thread and it said to also flash the update vendor.zip. I did that hoping it would bring back my data but it didn't. So I decided to go back to the Pure Nexus rom, clean install, and again I have no network data. What I could do to get it back? I've tried messing with the APN settings but no dice. I should have made a back up before switching roms but unfortunately I forgot to do so.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, on LG G3 I used CPU Temp app but it doesn't support Nexus 6P (it only gives estimated reading). I tried many apps and none of them works except for CPU Z but this one gives me like 15 different temperature readings and doesn't say what is what.
