Google Nexus 6 :: Dialer Delay While On A Call
Aug 5, 2015Have a large delay when trying to dial numbers while on a call? For example, when inputting a conference call number I have to wait 2-3 seconds between numbers otherwise I get an error.
I am using an unlocked N6 on Verizon running LMY47Z for reference.
Huawei Nexus 6P :: Dialer Won't Allow SIP Calls (Claims Call Barring Is On)
Jan 29, 2016I'm trying to use the Nexus 6P's native dialer to make calls through my SIP provider. I have a configuration that works perfectly on the Nexus 5X and older 6 (shamu). I entered all my information in Dialer > Calls > Calling accounts > SIP accounts, and then enabled the account under ... > Calling accounts > All calling accounts. However, whenever I attempt to make a call through my SIP provider on the 6P, a message pops up saying "Can't make outgoing calls while call barring is on."
Note that: I can make regular phone calls from my mobile number just fine, tested with both a Verizon and a T-mobile SIM. However, the SIP call barring problem persists regardless of which SIM is in the phone.
I can make SIP calls using other apps, like CSIPSimple, so it's not a port blocking issue.
I can receive incoming SIP calls (to my DID number) just fine when enabling ... > Calling accounts > Receiving incoming calls, so clearly I didn't mistype my SIP account password. (I visually checked that all the other settings are identical between my 5x and 6P.)
I'm definitely on WiFi when I experience the problem. To be extra sure, I even tried it with airplane mode and WiFi both on, which is fine for CSIPSimple or incoming calls but still doesn't work for outgoing calls with the android dialer.
The message pops up instantly, making it seem like a setting on the phone rather than a response to network messages.
For what it's worth, I'm running build MMB29M (android 6.0.1). My phone is unlocked but not rooted. (I can still get root access to /data by booting TWRP, but have never mounted my system partition read-write.) The one thing it might be is that I put a Verizon SIM in my Nexus 6P when first booting it, whereas my other phones were all first booted with a T-mobile SIM. I think that caused some VZW apps to be installed that I since removed; perhaps it messed up other settings. I'm a bit reluctant to wipe my phone and try again, but will do it if it's the only solution.

Jan 23, 2016The dialer does not show the current call duration for outgoing calls? Mine only shows for incoming calls. Also when viewing call history I can't seem to find call duration of individual calls.

Jan 8, 2016I am seeing this issue increasing on daily basis. My phone is usually in my pocked (not in doze) or some times lying around on the desk (dozed/not dozed, but still notification should deliver late). But I have noticed that in both situations, I don't receive any notification until I actually turn on the screen.
As soon as I turn the screen on, notifications start to come in all together.. (around 4-5 notification comes together). It seems that they were pending to be delivered but were never delivered to the device until I woke it up and data connection restored.
I understand that in doze mode, notifications are delayed but are delivered, but in my situation they are not even delivered until I turn on the screen and wait a couple to 5 seconds.
- I am on Stock Android without anykind of root (systemless or regular).
- I don't have any kind of advanced battery saving mode on or app installed (greenify or clean master etc).
- I don't have battery optimization for whatsapp still no notification comes in
- I see it on both Wifi and LTE..
- Cellular notifications like sms, mms or calls are not affected with this issue, they come on time.

Huawei Nexus 6P :: Diverted Call / Forwarded Call Settings
Jan 26, 2016I run a very small business and I'm occasionally on-site at my customers office most of the time. So whenever i'm out, i divert my office number to my Nexus 6P.
So the issue is that it's quite difficult for me to distinguish between a personal call or if it's a diverted call from my office to my Nexus 6P. Previously on Nokia or certain Samsung phones, there was an 'indicator icon' showing that it was a diverted/forwarded call. This worked for me tremendously.
It's definitely a phone feature and *not* a carrier issue. Have downloaded 3 apps (2 free and 1 paid) from the Play store, but they all do not seem to work. Am on "Pure Nexus" ROM.

So, in case I have someone messaging me 20 times in a row, I will hear the notification tone 20 times. I know some apps limit the number of notifications by time and I'd like to do this with WhatsApp.
Is there some way to do this? To make it clear, I'd like to be able to set an option like "Only ring once for whatever number of messages every 30 seconds".

Apr 3, 2014For months I was happily using my Nexus 5 with a SoundID 300 earpiece. Pushing the call button went into a dialer dialog with voice prompts and responses. Suddenly a few weeks ago it started going to the Google Now (aka Google Search?) function (the one you get when you say "OK Google"). Although it will generally recognize the same voice commands as the dialer dialog, there are no voice prompts or responses, so if Google Now has crashed or decides to prompt on screen for "OK or Cancel", I have to get the phone out and look at it to see why it didn't dial.

Feb 5, 2016My nexus 6p has worked fine for months however I woke up yesterday morning to find it would not play a video on YouTube. Continuing to use it I noticed the following symptoms:Wont play videos of any kind (youtube, Facebook etc)Speakers do not work at all phone hangs and will not connect during incoming or outgoing calls. The call may connect after several minutes of the screen hanging on the blue calling screen however speakers don't work anyway.Phone restarts itself randomly.I have tried a hard reset from recovery, wiped cache, booted to safe mode etc with no change. Nov 10, 2015If I make a call as soon as I press to dial the screen goes black and I can't reactivate it unless the person in the other end hangs up, so if it goes to voice mail I have to restart my device, if the person hangs up I have to double tap the power button to wake it up but that activates the camera, that's the only way I'm able to do it.

Nov 8, 2015Both mine and my wife's 6p's are not able to access the internet while a call is in progress. My phone is unlocked & rooted, however my wife's is complete stock so I know that can't be the issue. I've also tried disabling the "enhanced" calling with LTE under cellular networks on both devices and this doesn't fix the issue, either.
After going into my Verizon online and adding the Advanced calling 1.0 feature to my line, then rebooting my phone, and waiting a few minutes, things automatically started working.
