I've noticed when recording a video and I focus on something close the focusing noise comes through when playing the video back. When I move away from the object I can hear the camera ree focus but the buzzing is not loud. The refocusing noise is only loud when I focus on something close.

It is on the phone during playback as well as in the video after upload to Facebook. Not sure if this is related but a video I uploaded to Facebook also looked good on the phone but was horrible on Facebook (and had the clicking noise in the background)

First video was recorded in 120fps. And you can hear a ticking sound. Now, I did not record any 120fps before 6.0.1 so not sure if this happened before the update. [URL] .....

I didn't notice until today, but I had not tried it before either. Normal recording with voice or music in the background is perfectly ok.
I have just received my Nexus and one of the first things I tested on it was the video playback on the AMOLED Screen. One Strange thing I noticed is that while playing any video in MX player (or any player for that matter), if the decoder is the default HW decoder, there is a backlight bleed like in LCD screens and the video doesn't run on an all black background which is really annoying. If I switch the decoder to SW, then its all black like it should be on AMOLED screens.

How come if I am in "picture mode" of the camera and then switch to "video" it zooms in. What would normally be in the frame for a picture is cropped so much for video.....

So I'm running Camera Zoom FX on a stock, debloated, rooted rom. It takes pics fine. However when I try to switch to video mode, it says "video switch not supported on this device"
Is there a fix for this? If not, whats another good camera app tha does actually support video.
I am on Ex Kernel, and I want to go stock again, and how can I control the focus of the camera? Its really hard to focus something small, the camera focuses the background only in some photos...

View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that after you have shot a video while using the volume/zoom switch to zoom in and out that when you play back the video you can hear the clicking of the switch? If you use the slide zoom on screen, the microphone also picks up the noise from your finger moving across the screen using that method too. This is a major problem as you cannot hear what you have filmed when you play it back, when I took it back to the shop where I purchased it from to explain about it they checked all the other N8's in the shop and they too had the same fault. Come on Nokia you managed to be able to get it right on my old N95-00 without it making the clicking noises,so you must be able to sort it out on the N8, the videos at the moment are unwatchable as all you hear is click, click ,click where the zoom button has been pressed. I bought this phone mainly for the excellent camera/video but at the moment all I have is a very expensive touch screen phone
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got a new 6P from Google. I have it unlocked and TWRP installed, but no rooted just yet. Loading everything up on the phone, and I've come across an odd issue. I loaded my 1500 or so songs from my Samsung S5 to the 6P, and Google player only sees some of the songs. All the ones I bought from Amazon and some other random ones I'd ripped from our CD collection. Rocket Player sees them all, but won't play any but the ones Google Player plays. Tried some other music apps, but similar results.
I deleted all the songs, put them back in different folders, wiped the cache on Google Play and Rocket, booted the phone. I used ES File Explorer to go to individual albums and try to play the songs direct from there, but still does not work. I get "Couldn't play the track you selected".
Google search said to nuke all the music and go into Apps>Media and clear the storage, but that is not an option under Apps on this phone. Doesn't really seem like that kind of issue anyway, since it will play some of the songs.
I have a problem with the camera. For the first 2-3 minutes afte switching on the camera shows some red and blue lines like a noise signal in video. It also comes when I take the picture. It only happens for the first 2-3 minutes and then it disappears and picture is clear. Tried using other apps for camera, but the problem still remains. It only happens during low light situation or during night shots.

I've done a fair bit of googling but haven't found a solution. I use llama app on my phone to trigger events and have tried setting a trigger using the music app to trigger the screen lock to disable but it doesn't work. View 1 Replies View RelatedOccasionally, when using the slow motion setting the video will record, play back in slow motion, but the fps will not be up to par - as in, it'll be set to 240 fps but will most definitely look choppier and not as smooth as I know it should be. A restart of the phone usually fixes this but there's no way to tell if it's not working until I record a video and play it back. Also, all the sample slo-mo videos online look so crisp and clear, while my videos tend to look pretty noisy, even with decent light.

Mini Pro Owner, never rooted, never used cooked roms! Everything original. After updating to latest kernel my phone reset the 99% of times when I play a video filmed by the camera!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have encountered this multiple times. The sound is coming normally and just goes off without any reason.
The sound comes back if I pause the audio/ video and then replay. However, after 2-3nutes the sound goes back again.
The only solution is to restart the phone and then the sound is OK for around 2-3 days.
1) During listening music on google play music.
2) During watching video on VLC player
This is a default Australian nexus with default rom and all the updates from Google. NOT rooted.
I don't normally do a lot of videos from my phone due to the poor quality, but given that the 6P records in 4K I wanted to try it. I recorded my son's Christmas Musical. Once home I tried playing back via wifi to my TV. I got audio and nothing more. So I thought it was just a connection problem. I then tried on my computer.

Before I start, I just want to say that I'm not using the sRGB mode. I'm using the regular more saturated settings. I noticed on Saturday that after recording and playing back a test video I shot, the colors looked very washed out compared to how the viewfinder looked during recording.
Today, I was streaming youtube, and also noticed a similar trend. The colors looked very washed out and lacked contrast. It almost feels like there's a film overlaying the video. This is ONLY during video playback. Whenever I just scroll through apps, or view pictures the screen looks great. [URL] .....
Above is an album with pictures I took of my Note 4's and 6P's screen when viewing the same content. I tried to match the brightness as best as possible. Also, resolution was the same for videos on both screens. The first picture is the most apparent. I was watching John Oliver's latest episode and the top is the 6P where it looks completely washed out. The second picture is showing that when just viewing the homescreen, they look very similar and the colors pop on the 6P just like on the Note 4.
If this is just how the 6P plays videos, then I will deal with it. But if this is not normal I will try to RMA as videos really don't look that great. Colors look great when viewing anything but videos. When viewing videos colors look very washed out. Album compares 6P and Note 4.
