Got my htc and started the facebook app, and it started adding contacts to my phone book, managed to stop it before too many where added, but its added numbers I just don't want and can not see any way of deleting them.
So I tried what was suggested to me as far as adding my facebook account to the social networking app in my xprt and still the contacts have not linked. Nor did it give me a sync option when adding my facebook account. When I first purchased the xprt and added fb the contacts synced,I had to remove it and add it again do to being hacked. Could this be the reason? I know this is pretty ocd for something so small,I just really want my google contacts to sync with fb
We have an apple family consisting of an iPhone 4, iPad2, and an iphone 3G which we just upgraded to an iPhone 4 today. When we were setting up the new iPhone 4 to connect to iCloud and our apple ID we accidentally merged all the contacts via iCloud from both iPhones into 1 large contact list (the same list on both phones). We keep separate contact lists for our phones, but use iCloud to sync everything else together. I already figured out how to turn off the syncing of the contacts, but is there any way to revert/delete or however you want to word it, the contacts list back to each phone having only their original contacts? When I turned off the contact syncing in the iCloud settings it did ask if I wanted to keep the contacts from icloud or delete them so out of fear of it deleting ALL my contacts I tapped Yes to keep them (probably the wrong choice there). On my wife's new phone it is no big deal, I just manually deleted the 20 or so contacts that were added from my phone, but she has 100+ contacts that are now on my phone that I would rather not delete one by one manually. I also figure I could just do a restore from a backup on my phone through iTunes, but its been a while since I did one and I would end up loosing recent data and contacts so that isn't an option.
So I've had this phone for about 5,6 months with different problems over the course of my time with the phone. Was wondering if anyone has had the same problems and if there are any solutions. So first, sometimes my phone will randomly delete contacts from my phone and place them in the "hidden" folder. I haven't hidden them, but I've gotten text from people and be unsure who it is,but then find out it is someone that I know and who has been in my phone. Also, since my contacts are synced with facebook,it will randomly delete the FB picture to my contact so instead of it showing their default picture on facebook in my contacts, it just shows the blank face. In the past it has deleted the picture and will eventually come back after a coule of days or weeks but currently it has deleted multiple of my contacts pictures and has yet to come back. I dont know if I am accidentally hitting something or if there is a way to prevent this but it is aggravating. Also, sometimes if I go to send a text message, say for instance to Sally Sue,I'll click Sally Sue, send the text but then in my messaging folder it does not show the name "Sally Sue" nor does it show their picture, but just the phone number alone as if I texted someone who was not inputed in my contact list.It eventually goes back to showing the name but it still annoying nonetheless. The last issue is with the gps sattelite that will not shut off and for whatever reason prevents me to use facebook on my phone.I've read that this has been an issue with others in the past and tried some of the suggestions people offered.I have uninstalled FB, reinstalled in, callibrated my phone, taken out the battery, turn on/off, etc and nothing works.Under settings in the securty tab, it is always checked next to GPS Satellites on. I will uncheck it, but it never stays that way, it will always go back to being checked and I can never use my FB app as it will open for like 2 seconds then cut out.
I just switched to the HTC One M9 and am using GoSMS Pro for my messaging. In my Phonebook Contacts, all of my linked FB contacts have their current profile pic showing up but in the GoSMS Pro app, they just show up as default blue avatar. I can manually save each profile pic and assign it to a contact, but I don't want to have to do that for all of my FB friends!
These are the only setting options I have in GoSMS Pro:
I downloaded a browser app onto my Galaxy S5. I didn't like it. when I uninstalled it, my almost 500 pictures on my phone were wiped out. Slowly the pics started downloading back onto my phone. But it put them in Facebook synced. I never wanted them there at all. How do I get them off Facebook and back to Gallery on my phone?
before our home computer crashed i synced some pictures on my phone, now they are using up space and i dont want them on there anymore but i can't figure out how to delete them. iv'e went through my itunes and i can't find anything.
I've seen many variations on the answer to this question including linking the iPhone to the computer, going to photos under "iPhone," clicking sync all photos, selected photos, and clicking off the checks on the folders. My only concern with doing this is that it will delete all the photos on my phone not synced from my computer. Will that happen if I do this?
I just synced my iphoto from my mac to my Iphone 5s and now I can't delete the pictures i don't want from iphoto. It also deleted most of the pictures from my camera roll. What do I do to delete the pictures I don't want and get my other pictures back?
How do I delete the photo albums on my iphone 5s synced from my computer? the delete sign doesn't even appear next to those huge albums occupying 26 gb of my iphone.
How to delete photos from my iPhone 5 previously synced from my desktop but now have been deleted from my computer? I have an album on my phone named Desktop and can't delete photos from this album on my phone and they don't show up in iTunes now.
I bought a new iPhone and tried to sync it to my computer to get all my data on the new phone. However, on syncing the phone I was advised that I would have to set this up 'as a new phone' and sync later. My contacts and apps have gone onto the phone, but music, photos, settings and most importamtly text messages have not.
I'm using a LG G3 (LG D858HK) running Android 5.0.1. I'm saving my contacts to Google. Every now and then, some newly created contact info goes missing but I could find the telephone no in phone's call log as a unsaved number. If you check the Google Contacts, this particular contact is not there.
Well I synced my phone today, haven't synced in a week or so, and now I have no contacts. The contacts on my phone are gone, so I checked my computer and they are gone there as well.
When I synced it did pop up the window that says more than 10% of the contacts will be changed or anything. Is there ANYTHING I can do to get them back?
This is a total failure as far as i'm concerned with Ituned/iPhone. This is unacceptable.
I synced my 4s iphone to my laptop, windows 7. I was asked if I wanted to download pictures from dropbox. I said yes. I then lost most of my contacts in my phone. How do I recover them?
Info: iPhone 4S, Windows 7, I download pictures from dropbox
I ask because I got an iPhone 4S after my Nokia N95. When I had it, I used to sync my 700+ phone book entries with Outlook (2010).After getting iPhone, I could import this Outlook backup onto the new phone normally, then I eventually added a few new contacts to my book, naturally. When I get to icloud, I see only these added manually after I got the phone uploaded (synced). How to make all the 700 to go on the cloud?
For some reason all the birthdays in the phone contacts shows day later than it is on my windows live contacts? So in Windows live a contacts birthday is correct, but in the phone it shows incorrectly day later. How is this possible as my phone gets the contact cards from the Windows live and they should be the same? I have checked the time zones and all match.
