So I just recently bought a One X and I'm using it on straight talk. I've noticed that when I plug the phone in to my computer at work to charge it that after about 30secs I get an x over the service bars and all data connection stops. It's sort of like it doesn't have a SIM card. Once I unplug the USB service comes back and it works as normal. Not sure if it's related but when I do plug it in my computer doesn't do anything like with my old phone. It doesn't see it or anything.
I dropped my phone earlier and now it will not turn on unless plugged in, even then it doesn't work properly. When I plug it into my wall charger it says no service and wants to be connected to itunes but when I do connect it to my laptop the apple sign comes up for a couple of a seconds then disappears again. If I unplug it the phone turns off!
My iPhone 5S charges fine when USB plugged in at wall but when plugged into computer nothing happens. I have tried using a different cable and computer but the same results. Any way to fix this as I would like to sync my phone again?Â
the service goes out all of a sudden, and i have to switch the phone off and on agin to regain service. this happens in areas where i normally have good service
When I'm opening Service Status from "Options and Status" I see the "Blackberry Internet Service" as "Not Connected" although I've Blackberry service and I'm successfully using IM, synchronize my E-Mails, and Browsing the internet without any WiFi connection.
I am using the blackberry service using a GSM service provider, I would like to switch to a new GSM service provider. When I switch the SIM card the handset ask for blackberry ID and password, on entering the details it says invalid Blackberry ID. Can I just use another BB handset and use the new SIM to route all my emails and BB messenger to the new handset.
I've done everything I know to do (reset network settings, hard reset, software update, restore to factory default, replace sim card) still have not fully resolved the issue. It seems to work periodically at random, but only has 1 or 2 bars where I should normally have full service.
Recently, my iPhone has been having some service issue and it is not AT&T's problem. At home for example I always used to have 5 bars, but now the service will show no service and then 10 minutes it will show up all 5 bars then soon no service. This happens to me in many places.
I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.
When I'm driving or otherwise have my phone connected to power, I would like it to stay on. I know I can change the Screen timeout to never turn off, but I would like it to stay on by itself when plugged in. My daughter has one and hers stays on although dimmed. All she has to do to get it up and running is to touch the screen. I have to push the power button each time.
I am pretty sure other 3GS users have noticed this before but the is my 1st time ever having a problem with the phone. The battery has almost treated me well and still is. I don't know if this is an issue or not. So I woke up this morning and I keep my 3GS plugged in over night everyday connected to my MacBook pro and my mbp never goes to sleep so the phone stays getting a charge. I woke up this morning and it was at 98% or 97%. First time ever doing this. Is there a reason for that? I'd appreciat it if someone had an answer. 5 minutes later after using it while still plugged in the charge went back up to 100%
My iPhone thinks my headphones are plugged in, when their not. Their are no stores near me get it checked out, I have blew in it with no luck, removed and put the headphones back in several times. still no luck? it just suddendly started to happen. I didnt even use my headphones?
It started when i came to Canada from UAE, i used my uncles HTC charger because my plug was a different design that the ones from here. It charged straight to 75% and up. Battery life started diminshing faster from that day on, and now it barely stays on for a few minutes. Now i wanted to know, is it a battery thing, or could the charging hole could be damaged? Also, how do you move the trackpad from one housing to another? it seems to be built straight into the keyboard, but on the one i bought doesnt have on.
I left my phone charging while I went out today and when I came back it wouldn't turn on. No response when I plugged it in. When I go to blackberry protect it says that it is nearly charged. A while back I got water on it and the little white dot by the battery turned blue, but that was over a month ago.
I'm having a problem with an Xperia X8.First off, I should explain that it's second hand, and there's the possibility that the warranty period is over already (most likely the case).
The phone is running on 2.1, the latest update for X8. But the phone doesn't charge when it's plugged. Whenever I use USB or a charger, the orange light comes on quite alright. But the battery status stays as 'Discharging'.I know there are several forums and such that probably have answers, but the problems I've been seeing have differed in one way or the other (for example one person said his battery stayed at 30%-31% and sometimes wipes out to 5%) so I'm skeptical about trying the solutions lest I do some big harm to the phone.Presently I'm using an external charger, meaning I have to remove my battery each time I want to charge it, leaving my phone switched off for the duration. You can imagine how uncomfortable this is. I should probably note that my battery has managed to hit 78% with the external charger, but I also fear that continuously using the external charger will get the battery bad at some point.
There's no update for the phone again. Is there anything I can do to get this battery solution fixed? Maybe repair phone software or something like that?
Let the battery run out and plugged it into charger overnite. Didn't charge. Tried the usb into the pc and got the battery with the lightning bolt symbol. Plugged into wall outlet wont work. What gives? I tried taking out the battery for 5-10 mins and still nothing.
I have moved some apps to sd card (lollipop new feature via setting-app), then I plug the otg flashdisk. Applications which I've moved to sd card is missing and leaving just shortcut, but it will come back again after I reboot. How to solve it without having to reboot?
How to set the phone to Charge Only when connected to a pc with a USB cable? Just got my M8 from Verizon yesterday. On any other android devices I've owned, when you connect the device to my Mac with a USB cable, you get the option to change the connection type: Charge only, disk drive, usb tethering (or HTC sync, for HTC devices).
On the M8, When I connect it to my Mac, I get a notification saying "Media device [MTP] connected", and another notice saying "USB connected - Tap to change settings". The MTP notice doesn't do anything when tapped. Tapping the USB connected notice, takes me to the Mobile Hotspot & tethering settings page. I've got "Mobile Hotspot" and "Bluetooth tethering" both turned off. "USB network setting" is set to "None". There doesn't appear to be an option to specify charge only.
On the Mac, it mounts a filesystem containing only the HTC Sync Manager (which won't run, because it was compiled for old PowerPC Macs).
I've always seemed to have had problems with my Galaxy phones when connecting them to a PC and considered going to another phone before I upgraded to my S6.
This is a problem that has happened with my S2/S3/S6 with both different leads and different computers. Connecting it to update or transfer music, files etc. can take a while as it keeps disconnecting all the time.
I'm not a fan of iPhones but my girlfriend never seems to have a problem when connecting hers to this and other computers.
I've gone through the steps of checking if I have the latest iTunes, (I do), restarting iPhone, restarting iMac, and still don't see it come up on my desktop. Have just purchased "Phone to Mac" to try get easier access to photos and tunes on my phone, but even that doesn't recognise that my iPhone is plugged in (directly from the usb on my mac).
I ran my ipod all night and ran the battery dead, when I plugged it in the phone never beeped that it was charging and the indicator showed it needed a charge. Now it's totally dead and won't take a charge at all?
Could I have damaged the plug in socket on the phone? I've tried 3 different cords, and my 12v plug my 110v plug and plugging it into my computer. I got nothing???
Can it be taken a part and cleeaned? where the cord plugs into the phone?
This just started happening about two weeks ago. I would plug it in at night like I normally do, and the icon would show that it's connected but not charging. Also, every once and a while a message will pop up and say the device does not support the accessory even though it's the charger it came with.
My Iphone 4s only works when plugged in. It shows a red battery low icon and works when on the charger but does not charge and shuts down the second that it is removed from the charger.
