Is there a way to transfer my pictures from my lumia to the m8? It seems the m8 does not want to allow me to open the files after I sent them to the phone.
I have them in my dropbox, but I wanted to use some of them as contact and lock screen pictures.
I have an iPhone 3Gs...it's my first iPhone! When I first started taking pictures with it they automatically went to my PC. Now they are not! What am I doing wrong? And why are the photos on Camera Roll and Photo Stream?
How can I transfer pictures which I can see in Gallery to my PC? When I use ES File Explorer or File Manager those apps cannot find these pictures on the internal storage or external card but those albums and photos are visible in Gallery. The file manager apps see some albums but not all of those visible in Gallery. The PC cannot see them either using Windows Explorer as it only sees the same albums which the Xoom file manager apps can see.
I had to get a new phone and am needing to tranfer 5 pictures that were accidentally saved to the device rather than the media card. I also have saved messages that I would like to transfer. How do I do this. I have downloaded the BB device manager to my computer and when I plug the device into the computer I can see the 5 pictures but once I unplug it they are gone.
I bought a Samsung R451C and took many pictures. Now, I have no idea how to pass all the pictures to my PC. I bought a cable but when I connect it to the phone and the laptop, I cannot see the internal memory. When I insert a microSD card into the phone, the phone allows me to copy/move pictures ONE by ONE to the card from the internal memory, which is extremely slow. Is there any way to copy all the pictures at once to the microSD card or directly to the PC? Maybe there is a program for doing that?
Is there a way to accomplish the transfer of pictures from an apple computer to a drroid X? I've tried unsuccesfully to do it with the USB cable. Then I figured the effort might need an updated driver only I was not successful in finding one.
I don't know if this has been talked about before, but I'd like to know what to do exactly when I want to go from my L800 to my brand new L920. I'd like to take contacts, music, pictures, accounts, apps etc... to my 920
I can't seem to find any good source that explains how to do this! My sim card has no contacts on it, and you cant export them from the iPhone to the sim card, I'm lost as to what I can do to keep my contacts! how to transfer contacts from iPhone to Lumia 920?
I just bought new 920 and want to transfer my all iphone contacts. There is nice application in my 920, "transfer my data". So after getting bluetooth on from both phones I did use that app, and it told only contact information in available for transfer. I did choose it and after running from 0% to 100% my 920 said "done".
Now when I go to my 920 phonebook, I cannot see any contacts? Where it has transferred them? I have disabled getting contact from facebook and hotmail because I really do not need all my 500 facebook "friends" information to my phone. They are not real friends and just mixing up my phonebook too much. I had/have all needed information in my iphone contact list but cannot get them in 920.
I dropped my Lumina 1520 over the weekend and trashed the screen and digitizer. Somewhat of a shock as it was less than a foot drop and I have the screen and the back protected with Ghost Armor. In any event, I have a new 1520 on the way.
My question is this. How do you transfer the device settings to the new phone? I have the option set to back it up to One Drive. I have not been successful finding a way to "restore" or download those settings.
I recently purchased the Lumia 950 XL and have had a pretty terrible experience transferring photos from my Windows 10 PC to the device.
With phone connected to PC via the included USB-c cable, I'm dragging and dropping my photo albums from my PC into the Pictures folder in the phone's local memory. However every so often, the transfer will hang on a specific photo. Sometimes it will hang for minutes at a time and I'll need to kill the process manually. Other times it will error out, saying "the device stopped working or was disconnected". Once either situation occurs, the phone's folders in Explorer become unresponsive (i.e. clicking through the phone's folders, refreshing the view, and ejecting the phone via the taskbar do not work), and I must physically unplug the phone and plug it back into the computer in order to be able to try again. The phone interface itself remains functioning and fully accessible while this is occurring.
Typically I can get a problem photo to work by opening it in Photoshop, making some small change (i.e. drawing a single pixel in it), and saving it. This seems to clear whatever error was in place, but only until I hit the next time this happens on subsequent photos. In some cases I've been able to add photos or full albums without issue - in others, every single photo in an album was problematic and could not be fixed by altering in Photoshop.
I've looked for issues in the photos themselves, but don't see anything that's telling me what they may have in common vs photos that do work - they open fine on the PC and don't appear to be corrupt. This never occurred previously with these same photos when transferring in the same fashion to my Lumia 1520 via a standard USB cable. I thought perhaps I had a faulty USB-c cable, but I tried with two spare cables and the same thing occurred. I also tried using different USB ports on my computer (both USB 2.0 and 3.0) and nothing changed. Rebooting the PC / phone doesn't work either. I've yet to test if this also happens with other file types, i.e. music.
The screen on my 1020 recently broke, and I just got the phone replaced (because it was cheaper for me to replace through insurance than finding a place to repair the screen. I only found one place who would do it and they said $240. Um, no) and I am about to send back the broken one. I already backed up all of my photos onto my surface 2. But my question is, is there a way to transfer the hi res photos from my old 1020 to my new one? I should clarify, I can transfer the hi res file, but its not viewable on the phone?..
Phone memory is down to 300mb, so I thought I'd better do something about offloading some of the hi-res pics. I couldn't see thumbnails on the PC for the 34mp pics, so had to open every one before I could delete/ copy. Surely there's an easier way, I've got a 1000+ pics to do?!
I have been doing it by clicking on the WP icon in 'my computer' & then camera roll. I have the syncing app on my laptop, but that didn't seem useful.I miss the SD card on my N8, sometimes it feels as if I've gone backwards.
I will be setting up my new Icon this evening. I will need to transfer music and a few text files. Will I be able to plug the Icon into my computer and transfer the the directories that contain my music and text files.
Just bought the 920 on Friday and I can not transfer any files to it. I have tried Windows explorer as well as the Windows Desktop App. I can see my phone in explorer and I an click to open the Music folder. When I try to copy/paste to there it just hangs and then I get an error message to stop or skip copying? I am using Windows 7 SP1. This is a deal breaker if I can't get music and photos on here.
I would like to download pictures taken on my 710 to the pc one at a time. I have followed the steps and made all the correct checks in the approiate places but no photos are transferred. Using zune - on the screen with showing the pics on the phone I drag and drop one to the pc icon lower left corner and as I am dropping it I see a small thumbnail and a + sign but no picture shows up. I have all the folders set up properly its just that no pics are transferring.
I received my new shiny Lumia 920 phone last night and thought the easiest way to transfer my photos from my nokia C7 would be to bluetooth them across. Now I can't find the pics
I have been thinking what to do with my brand new Lumia 920 because I am dissapointed with picture quality. They are simply not sharp, and I am not talking only daylight or night pictures. In my case MOST of the pictures are not sharp. However all Macro pictureas are sharp, and one of a hundred both daylight and low light ARE sharp. My previous phone is Nokia N8 and wife have Iphone 4s so I know what to expect from a phone.I have dowloaded app called Camera Easy and that app simply take SHARP pictures. Here are two comparison, two sharp are of course taken with Camera Easy app, and two not so sharp pictures are taken with default Nokia Lumia 920 software. ( I have bought Camera Pro as well, but pictures have same quality as Nokia Lumia 920 default software, not sharp). However there is one bug in Camera Easy app, it can save images in own folder somewhere on Lumia 920, but they are not listed on camera roll or albums???(reason why I am covering my eye is because I took over hundred of pictures and looking in flash light that many times will hurt my eyes.... so some protection )NOKIA, dowload this app and learn how to do things correctly
My 2 day old Lumia 920 doesn't take pictures in the dark. I have seen videos where people take a picture in a completely dark room with nothing but the focus assist light turned on and the picture comes out like it was taken in the day.No matter what I try, I cannot replicate this. With all settings are on Auto ( default ) and the flash off, I get nothing but a black picture.
I saw in the videos that we can take pictures without flash...but i'm unable to get any pics...it's dark . Just want to know what i'm doing wrong. I'm able to get pics with flash though...
Most of my camera use is to take a pictures of my kids. The problem is that I don't success to get a good pictures because the kids I always in movement and the Canberra doesn't focus on them well.I tried to set the shutter speed to be faster but the I get a darkness pictures. Why there is no modes like Nature, sport, kids, etc and the camera will set the values automatically due the selection mode? ( I had this feature in my android devices).
Today I made some pictures with my Phone (Lumia 1520, WP8.1, Lumia Denim) using Lumia Camera 5.0. I wanted to view them afterwards and they didn't show up in the photo album. When I went to the Lumia Camera app and then to Album, they were showing but in the top left corner it said "processing" (not sure if this is correct, it was "verwerken" in Dutch). Short: the app got stuck in saving the pictures. They also did not show up in the folder when I connected it to my pc.
I tried to look up on the internet to find a solution but couldn't find one. I did a soft reset on my phone and then these pictures were all gone... But not the .TMP, .TNL, . THM-files. (which are only used for Living Images I believe). After the soft reset the app works fine again and saves the pictures like normal.
I wanted to take all my high res photos off of my 1020 to back them up, also to free space but when I connect it to my Windows Desktop PC and go to the camera roll folder and select all the high res photos, Windows constantly says an unexpected error occurred and cannot transfer the photos It asks if I want to try again and nothing works. I then tried to import the photos using iPhoto on my Macbook Pro and it sees the phone as 909, and just says Loading...I left it for 2 hours and still says loading. iPhoto didn't freeze it is just not reading the photos.
