Apr 29, 2012I have been backing up an iPhone 4 to iCloud for a while. I then purchased a new iPhone 4 as the old one was damaged, and set it up as a new phone. I haven't got around to setting up icloid backup yet. I now realise I want some data from an app in the old backup. Here is what I propose to do:
1. Backup new iPhone to iCloud
2. Restore new iPhone from old backup
3. Use the app's 'Email me my data feature' to get a copy of the DB
4. Restore new iPhone from new backup
Clearly I can only do this if during step 1 it doesn't overwrite the old backup. Can I have two separate backups?

Mar 31, 2014I don't remember this being an issue with any phone prior. I've had a video on here since Friday. Just a 30 second clip of my daughter riding a carousel at the mall. I can't get it to backup. I've set it to mobile and wifi, I've set it to wifi only, I've tried forcing the backup. Nothing. The pics have backed up just fine. But not this one video.

Oct 22, 2015I have a really weird problem that randomly started and just keeps getting weirder and more annoying. I was watching YouTube via the app on a very unreliable WiFi connection, and received a number of "playback error, tap to retry" messages (pretty normal on this particular network) so I didn't think much of it. When I got home, however, the messages and errors continued, so I cleared YouTube's cache, which did nothing. I then cleared data, it asked me to sign into Google again, and it did, but the errors continued. I then noticed in my notifications that I had some app updates available from the play store, and that's when the problem got stupid.
Play store hung on the spinny loading circle, so I cleared its cache and data and then it hung on the first update. Soooo, I cleared cache, then data, on Google play services. Now, not a single damn Google app does anything. Google play music shows my two google accounts to set up with, clicking either of them does nothing. YouTube plays videos linked from other apps, but can't search or browse, just has a the red nav bar and blank white space with the spinny. Play store doesn't work. Inbox doesn't refresh, you get the idea. And somehow, Facebook started not connecting at the same time as everything else. Not sure if its related or not, but it sure is frustrating. Chrome works fine. Other apps that connect to the internet work fine. Just google apps and Facebook.

BB Bold 9700 :: Can Safely Delete Other Backup Files
Mar 9, 2010I just got my new Bold 9700 and the included 2 GB memory card is showing up as almost full. Through Media Manager I see the culprit is a bunch of backup files, including a file called ArcNB.NBZ (this file alone is 1.5 GB). Anyone know why this is on here? Jun 12, 2014I keep getting auto backup failed of late. i had it set to wifi only. according to one person's fix, check the data manager and uncheck the mobile hotspot. but that isn't working. still keeps failing and i think it is just working the battery. also may have caused my wifi at home to crap out, as it was just causing traffic. I even checked the box to only upload when connected to a charger, but it still attempted to upload when not.

Aug 26, 2015I'm currently running Android 6.0 DP3 on my Nexus 5 and have to perform a clean flash due to battery drain issues. However, this will make me go through the whole backup and re-setup process again - backup images, backup Whatsapp, backup all documents and download, flash the phone, restore everything, log into the different apps, set up Gmail accounts etc. Obviously, I'm not looking forward to that it's basically also the reason which has kept me from trying different ROMs on my phone in the past. I know that there is Titanium Backup just for that job, but it needs root access and I can't root my phone because this will trigger the "phone isn't secure"-alarm of my bank's super cautious TAN app which will stop it from working (just like using Tasker does, which obviously sucks).

Galaxy S5 :: Google Play Will Not Reinstall After Backup
Aug 3, 2015After using Titanium Backup Pro I backed up all my apps correctly and then started to Freeze one app a day and checked with my other apps to make sure everything is fine then rebooted several times throughout the day. At the end of each day I uninstalled the app....Until I came across "google play services" .
Well after I deleted it some other apps started to fail to run stating that "google play services" was not running. So I tried to reinstall it and it appeared to install However my other apps still do not run saying that there is a fault in "google play services" . So I tried to reinstall again with just "app and data" then I get a warning saying "Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped" . So what am I to try at this point in time ?
Google Nexus 5 :: Can't Install Titanium Backup
Dec 28, 2013I already had installed Titanium Backup on my Nexus 5 but after changing to ART didnt worked any more cause it wasnt compatible, but okay so far no problem. But now i reflashed Cataclysm Rom (so no Titanium Backup installed) and Multiboot and so i wanted to backup my data for the second Rom but now i cant install Titanium Backup on my primary Rom, doesnt matter if i run in ART or change to DALVIK i even tried the newest version wich should run also with ART. It shows every time the error it couldn't be installed, during installprocess.

Oct 6, 2015I'm using Titanium Backup and my backup folder used to be a USB-drive I mounted with Stickmount.
Now, with Android 6, Stickmount no longer works for me and the built-in USB-OTG mount takes over and mounts the USB drive to /mnt/media_rw/SOMEFOLDER.
But with Titanium Backup, I can't access this folder (folder chooser has no permission to move into this folder).
So, is there a possibility to access the USB drive in another way or do I have to do backups to the internal storage and move it to the USB drive manually?
