Just got my One back from the screen repair directly from HTC. I getting everything back to the way it used to be. Can't seem to get the power saver option to work. No icon so I'm unaware of whether or not its working. Also. Every time I get a text or notification it vibrates along as plays the tone.I can get it to just play the tone??
Just updated two days ago and my Airplane Mode icon will take me to the settings screen where I have to tap on Airplane Mode again which turns it into a two step process and makes the icon pointless. The other thing is that the screen is not dimming like it did in Power Saver mode. I keep my screen about 1/3 because indoors it's all I need and it would drop it about 10% before I updated to 4.3. Now it keeps it at the 1/3 default no matter what. I can't really say whether it's having a dramatic effect on battery life, but it would be nice to get that extra 5% in times of need.
I've searched and am struggling to find much on these. What do they do, and how are they different?
According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).
After yesterday's update, now they've change the lock screen so that a big "power saver on" notification is now permanently stuck in the middle of the screen.
Can Any one tell me why I can t see my Power saver ( Date ) in C5 After Power saver time -out don ,screen get dim and nothing change I try many times to change Power saver to DATE - TEXT - SLIDE SHOW
Recently purchsed my Nokia E72 about 1 month ago. Having purchased and installed Garmin XT for my mobile. The software works well but logs out after 10mins due to the Power Saver kicking in. Does anyone know how I can completely remove the Power Saver? the max time I can set it is only 90 seconds. This is driving me nuts as I really want my GPS to work as it should after 10mins. I have tried to put to backlight on when navigation but makes no difference because the Power Saver would just over ride it.
Menu/ctrl panel/themes/power saver .There u can choose date as the image . Problem is that I would really like to have that way bigger so one can see date and time just from one glance.
1) My Screen Saver stopped working... screen stays lit indefinitely, even when locked... after multiple restarts and lots of frustration it came back, but this issue has already happened twice - surely a bug
2) Power-Saving mode doesn't really make sense unless it is customisable... I am on a 3G only network, power-saving enables GSM-only... see the flaw?
I found the System Settings > Display > Brightness > Display Power Saver checkbox, but turning it off or on doesn't seem to do anything. In fact, I noticed my Maxx's screen was darker than the Droid 4's in the store the other day, and I went into the Brightness settings and found Display Power Saver unchecked, so I checked it just to see what happened, and the screen got brighter. My brightness is always on Auto. Unchecking it had no effect. Since then I've been able to detect no difference with it checked or unchecked.
The multi tasking and back buttons are not illuminated on my s5. Yes,I have turned off the power saver. I have tried it with the LED indicator lights off and on. I have tried turning the brightness adjustment off and on.
On firmware v22.014. The Keyboard light doesn't work on power saver mode (or low brightness settings). I tried to use 'Brightness Control' app.. It doesn't work to my satisfaction. But its better than nothing.
I just bought a N97 mini and it seems that when it is in power saver mode, the battery went from 4 bars to 0? I was shocked that I couldn't even turn it on in the morning. It's a real bummer when I have to leave the house and I realise my phone died overnight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save energy when I leave the phone in that mode at night? I'm very sure I have turned off all Wifi and Wlan and Bluetooth settings. Also, I believe my wall charger is faulty. There is no white light when plugged in. (Another bummer, when I returned home and realise my phone has not been charging the whole time I was out.) However, when I use the usb on my computer it works just fine.
I have an Icon and I have recently updated to Win8.1 DP, I went a day or so shocked at how quickly the battery was dying and then remembered to check for running apps. OUCH! When the update was through most of the apps updated to an 8.1 version, all well and good, except that they all chose to run in the background.
I have since "blocked" most of them from running in the background, but I would like to be able to reset the Battery Saver app so I can trouble shoot which apps are still operating as a battery hog.
I've never really used the Bluetooth on the icon before and wanted to know what the power drain would be like. I have the Denim update. A little background is that I want to use Bluetooth to connect to my car while commuting for phone calls. Do people just leave the blue tooth on all the time even when walking around? Or do you just turn it on when you get into the car
I just don't see the point of seeing that I am using power savings once it's already turned on. It's not like I am turning it on and off. Also the new 2 finger slide down is quick enough if I need more info.
I posted a description of a problem I'm having on another BlackBerry forum, and although several suggestions have been offered, no solution has been achieved. Thought I'd try the CrackBerry community to see if I can get the problem solved. After installing updated BlackBerry desktop and device software yesterday, the arrangement of icons on my screen had changed, so I was moving them around to be in the desired locations. In the process of moving the Turn Power Off icon, it simply disappeared instead of showing up in the new location. A responder suggested that it might be hidden and to try Show All. I had no Show All option - just Move, Hide, Add Folder, and Switch Application. Another suggestion was that I might have moved the missing icon to a folder. I have three subordinate folders, and it's not in any of them. It's also no longer on the main "desktop". The next responder said to try a battery pull. That had no effect, and the icon was still missing. The next suggestion was interesting - switch to a different theme, see if the Turn Power Off icon is there, and then switch back to the original theme. I've been using the Verizon theme, so following the suggestion I switched to the BB Dimension Icon theme.
Guess what - a Turn Power Off icon showed up, along with the other icons that were completely scrambled compared to the way I had organized them with the Verizon theme (and there were no subordinate folders). I clicked the icon to power down and then powered up again. The BB Dimension Icon theme was still active, and a Turn Power Off icon was still present. Next I switched back to the Verizon theme. There was no Turn Power Off icon to be found anywhere. I am ready for another suggestion. Can a theme become corrupted? If so, is there a way to refresh it?
On my icon I'm running the Developers preview. It seems when I hit the power button to wake my phone there is a slight delay. It seems to happen when i'm at home and not so much at work.
There is a lag when trying to wake the phone up. I will press the power button and it will take almost 4 seconds for the phone to wake up. This doesn't happen often, but often enough that I have to do a soft reset several times to correct the problem. Even then, it's still not 100% responsive. I'm on the latest DP and still having this issue.
A friend of mine just switched from Android to WP and got the Icon. He loves the phone but is having an issue with the phone becoming unresponsive at times. When hitting the power button to turn on the screen it sometimes stays black and becomes unresponsive for 5-10 minutes before it will work. I think it may be a faulty proximity sensor...
everytime when you press home button to activate the phone, you need to drag the lock icon at bottom to right hand side in order to operate the phone function, pls advise how to elimenate this process? can just press home button & go straight to choose call phone or write message or music
Ok I've tried looking for the answer and can't find or figure it ou I finaly got a screen saver I like and shortly after it starts it goes to the defalt black screen any ideas? And on a side note dose any body know were to get the game truth or dare for adults for the 8350i.
Is it just me or is the battery saver in the notification bar useless (on lollipop). It doesn't seem to do anything. It also seems it is a different battery saver from the one in the settings.
how can I get rid of the screen saver (blue and white things floating across the screen)? I just want to have date and time displayed, nothing else. I tried this:
Menu -> Settings -> Themes -> Power saver -> Date. but it doesn't work as expected. After about fifteen (15) seconds of not touching the phone, date and time are displayed. Fine. After another fifty (50) seconds the blue and white floating things appear. What is the right setting to get rid of any animations?
