HTC One M7 :: Unable To Turn Google Now On
Jun 5, 2014
After a factory reset Google Now is not working all of a sudden. It worked perfectly before I read tons of posts, tried all the methods like the one with fake location because I am also getting the Location Reporting is not available and after clearing the cache, and uninstalling updates of Google search I get the error linked in the attachment.
Google Now works without the Ok Google command,it recognizes my location the problem is that the cards don't show up and I'm unable to turn it on. Location is turned on btw Also device is not rooted...

So ever since yesterday I've been able to use WiFi. I was chromecasting something and while it was casting my phone went through a reboot, thought nothing of it since its happened lately. Well i think it did it a few times. Well I check my phone after my show is over and my WiFi is off., and I can't turn it on. I rooted my phone last night since it was unlocked already from when I had it rooted before. It's on Android 6.0 right now. I was getting a logcat error in reference to the wifistatemachine.

My music library lacks decent album arts, and I was wondering if there is any way of getting rid of the full screen album art on the lockscreen and instead just having my regular wallpaper?

Is there a setting for this? Have my "car" fixed at the bottom of the screen and have the map turn accordingly, instead of my "car" turning on a simple satellite view? If not, what's the best alternatives?

I'm running Cataclysm ROM (the Sept. 10 beta), Franco kernel, and I'm rooted and use Xposed. I receive this error when I try to add a card in Android Pay: "Android Pay cannot be used: Google is unable to verify that your device of the software running on it is Android compatible". I tried disabling root entirely and using RootCloak (Xposed) to hide root from Android Pay and Google Wallet, but I still can't use Pay. Wallet still works as it always has.

Rooted Nexus 5 running stock 4.4.4 . Until now I've had Bluetooth turned off to save battery but I now want to use it in my car. However it is grayed out in the phone settings and will not turn on. If I select to turn it on in settings, it switches to a grayed out "on" (see screenshot) and 2 seconds later goes back to off. I've checked my apps such as xprivacy, etc. and cannot find a reason for this.

I'm using my nexus 5 for last one year and recentlly updated to latest lollipop version(5.0.1). From Sunday I'm facing a screen lock issue. All of a sudden after a phone call my device din't turn on if i press the power button(unlock). The screen becomes completely blank with mild white background. Even if incoming call comes the screen wont turn on and I cannot take calls as the touch is also unresponsive. The only option is to shut the phone down by pressing all the three buttons(Power,Volume up, Volume down). And again boot the mobile using bootloader "start" option. Once it comes back up , its working as usual. As soon as the screen gets locked, I have to repeat the same thing as it won't unlock. Tried a complete factory reset using recovery mode . The issue still persists. I cannot use my mobile for anything.

Am I the only one experiencing problems with ok Google while my phone is locked? Google simply will not open and carry out commands from a locked screen. It refuses to set timers and it won't even turn on the flashlight. I have selected personal options in settings and I also have 5.1.1. I was hoping the update would fix the issue.
I am using the Google Nexus 6 on T-Mobile.

I have no signal, I can't turn on radio in the hidden settings (*#*#4636#*#*) and I can't change preffered network to 2g nor 3g.
I have flashed different radios, flashed several factory images (4.4,5.1.1,5.0) but I have the same problem. One thing though, when I'm on 4.4 it says the radio is on in the hidden settings (still no signal) but I can t' turn it off. Is this a software or hardware problem?

I bought a Nexus 5 at the weekend and I can't stop it from vibrating when a call or SMS comes in. I have a vibrate off in settings > sound > call and ringtone vibrate and also in Hangout settings but it vibrates anyway.
I've posted screen shots below showing my settings. Regardless of this it's vibrating anyway.

Yesterday my Nexus 5 turned itself off and since then i can't get it back on. (Still got enough battery left then). When I try to start my phone with the power button nothing happens, and also when I try it with different combinations in buttons it won't start. Now, when I try to charge my nexus everytime the google logo shows up and it shuts itself down, this happens over and over again... as long as the phone is plugged in (same with usb connection on pc).
When I Try to do it in bootloader it shows up one second and shut itself off again. The device is/was rooted, I have to say that I did an update and after that it was half rooted I guess I don't know but for three days there stood a new update, but i never did it...

I have had my Nexus 6 for a while now and haven't had any problems with it. But since updating android to 5.1 I can no longer turn on my screen during a phone call. I can't hang up, hit any numbers or anything else. I changed the setting so when I hit the power button it ends the call. But I am still left with the problem of not being able to hit any keys so I can't check my voicemail anymore. I tried doing a factory reset and I am still left with that same problem.

So in the process of attempting to fix my nexus 5's issue of saying "cannot mount cache" during a factory reset in recovery mode, it completely stopped turning on. However, when I connect it to the computer, my computer still makes a sound indicating a new device has been connected.
The device will not show anything on the screen at all. I've tried holding power, power+volume down, and power+volume down+volume up multiple times and nothings worked.

Is it just me or does WiFi turn off when you get an incoming phone call? When I am at home, I am hooked up to wifi. When I get a call on my N5, I can see the wifi disconnect, it connects to LTE, then the phone rings. When I hang up, WiFi will reconnect.

So, here is the deal. I canceled my AT&T contract and went out a purchased HTC One developers edition (64g). Dialing out and getting calls, have no issue. Load up Google Voice app. Now when I make a call the screen goes black right away.
Steps to reproduce:
* Unlock phone (just screen not dropping new image on phone or anything)
* Start HTC one phone app (after loading google app on phone first).
** After installing google voice, tell it that you should use it for all outgoing calls.
* Go to history (I see it the most here)
* select phone number in list

A few weeks after installing the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update, I began having issues with my Nexus 5. When I go to turn on the Wifi in the settings menu, the toggle switch is grayed-out and I can't use it. Instead of the phone finding connections, I just get the constant dialogue that says "turning wifi on." This just stays like that and I can't use any wifi functionality. I've tried fixes like installing custom ROMS (I tried Paranoid Android and CyanogenMod). I tried rebooting and factory resetting. I even called Google's customer service line and they were unable to fix the issue.

I have google nexus 5 32gb and recently i my phone has started behaving very weird. My phone batter died and it switched off and after a few moments when i reached home i plugged in a charger and my phone wont show me charging sign nor it will turn up so i left it on charge for a couple of hours and returned to try the same switching on method and still it wont turn on. So started googling this problem and i came across a forum where it showed me to hard booth by pressing the volume down and power button.
Magically it did not work for me so i made an appoint to go and see LG Service Store and suddenly my phone turned on so i thought the problem was solved untill it happened again and again and again so now if my phone switches off i am not very sure if it would turn back on. As this is a very random problem and i am unable to solve it while the phone is on and if i charge it before the battery reaches the critical levels and shuts on its own i am just fine.
What can be the issue as battery works the whole day of medium to low use and also other hardware happens to function well without any hanging complaints. Also my phone randomly switches off if i am playing some game as it gets heated and the same story of phone not booting.

My phone recently today just randomly turned off. I thought it was my charger that wasn't working, but I tried using my friend's charger and it was my phone that wasn't working. I tried charging it again, but now it just shows "Google" and turns off again.

I am trying to manually turn on USB debugging (to access files on phone through update thru ADB mode in recovery options, I can install the driver for the phone but won't work until USB debugging is turned on) while my phone cannot boot into the OS. Is there a secret way to turn on USB debugging through recovery mode? (I do not want to wipe the data, and phone unfortunately is not rooted)
