HTC One M7 :: Android 4.4 Update - No Wireless Printing Support
Dec 11, 2013
My first impression is HTC updated my phone with a huge update but didn't really change much on the phone. For example, as I understand, Android 4.4 introduces native platform support for printing, along with APIs for managing printing and adding new types of printer support. On Google Nexus phone "Printers" setting is found in the "Settings tab" after the 4.4 update. When I go to Settings on my phone, I can't find this setting to configure my printers. How to get this setting and configure a wireless printer on HTC One Android 4.4?
In the media event this past Wenesday, Steve told us all about the upcoming iOS 4.2 and how "it'd be all about iPad". After listing some new features he announced it'd be avaible for iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. Does this include wireless printing on all devices? My iPhone 4 is basically my computer and the ability to print from it would be awesome. Just wanted to know what people thought.
So on my s3 I was able to wireless print to my hp that is on my home network.
When I used to print I think there was a samsung print server and a google print server. I think the google one is what worked.
However on the s6 there is only a samsung one. I did download the hp print app from the play store. When I go to print something it shows my printer however nothing comes out or of it is supposed to I cancel it after five minutes. The printer is on line and does work with a lap top.
I can't find anything definitive about whether (or when) my iPhone 4 will (or won't) be able to receive the national emergency alerts (WEA) via the Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS).
I am experiencing problems connecting usb drive to the xperia z3. The phone charges ok via usb. It also connects to pc via usb. So i don't know what the problem is with usb mass storage connection!
I did usb host diagnosis and found api support with question marks and also kernel had question marks. Does this mean it has software related isssues then? Probably a bug and will go with the next update..
Does 5.1.1 have raw support on the s6? I read somewhere that it does but I have 5.1.1 and my phone does not support raw. I really want to use raw as this camera is awesome...
I've recently received a new samsung galaxy s6 with android 5.1.1 installed on it. first day everything went well no problems whatsoever, second day, i started to bump into some wifi issues which are now really pissing me off!
So the thing is, whenever i turn on wifi, 90% of the time, i can't find any connections. NONE! maybe after 10 minutes of leaving my phone i finally found one, and it isn't even my home connection.. I've been connected to my home wifi. And when i finally am connected the internet is so slow, i'd rather go back to my windows 98 pc and search via internet explorer, make the pc crash 5 times and still load the page faster than my cellphone.
Plugged my 9700 into desktop manager today & was prompted to update software, which I did. Device now at platform 5.1.0.175, app version: 5.0.0.862 on Vodafone UK. I've noticed that the 'wireless update' option is no longer there.
how to get rid of this ICS update and update into the old android version. I am having some serious problems whith my phone after ICS update (physical keyboard not working, problems in adding phone contacts, reboots after every app close, acting slow).
Are there any plans, dates or details for an update to the PGP Support for Blackberry package? Also, what is the process for logging & tracking feature requests relating to this package? The particular feature we desperately want to see is:
To give a user the ability to send an encrypted e-mail with attachments from a BlackBerry device that is operating the PGP Support for BlackBerry package.Currently the package can receive (decrypt) emails with attachments and only send (encrypt) emails without attachments. There is no workaround for this and it is a mayor limitation of the PGP Support for BlackBerry package. It is holding back the package from being rolled out to a larger market audience, and limiting existing users tremendously.
This feature request has now been logged with Symantec:[URL]..
I started the wireless update last night before I went to sleep. It got to the restore process and has not moved. I tried a battery pull, I left the battery out for about 2 or 3 minutes. The phone itself is not frozen. It keeps pulling up the icon that lets you know it is TRYING to work, but no progress is being made. This being my third attempt at getting it to work by using a battery pull, It is stuck at 1% and has been trying to complete the update for 28 minutes.
im on o2 with a bb curve 8520 and im trying to update to os5 i dont have a data cable so was looking to update through the wireless update feature.I know this can be done as i have read web pages and seen vids but it doesnt work for me it says no updates available. I spoke to the rubbish cs at 02 who told me it isnt possible to wireless update your os on a bb curve 8520.
OVI suite can't update the support softare on my N97... it's says "unable to install support software". Any solutions? On the PC I already unistall all Nokia software, used PCSuite Cleaner and cleaned the registry and then reinstall OVI Suite.I don't wont to hard reset the phone, format drive E and reinstall all the software.
Every time I use the Nokia PC Suite on my pc, I get a msg that I need to update my PC Suite support on my mobile. But when I try to do this, I get the msg "installer already in use" on my mobile. What should I do? And I also have another problem. I downloaded the application "Folder Hider" from Ovi, and it was installed in a folder "Mig Apps". I want to remove it, but it won't allow me. Why is that?
So ever since I updated my phone to the new 6.0 software version, my BBM and my wireless internet won't work. I've tried taking the battery out, restarting the phone, excetra, but nothing is working. I only got it about a month ago, so I'm extremely confused as to why it has stopped working.
I tried to upgrade my software for my BB CUrve 9300, wirelessly but now the phone enters a reset loop with the message:
Abnormal reset detected during update. Press any key to return to pre-update configuration
I have tried everything, pulling the battery, the sim card, the memory card but its still on the loop. I found a similar post from 2010 below which is the same problem but no resolution was made.[URL]...
I have blackberry 9520. Yesterday I was trying to update my phone via wireless update. It showed me that your current version is 5.0.0.497 and new version 5.0.0.1077 is available for download. When I clicked the new update it says "Submitting Update Request" which remains as is and nothing happen after that till today. Rather after couple of minutes a message arrives that Waiting for Connecivity to submit request. Do you want to keep waiting? When I press yes, it happens again and again. And when I press no the previous screen arrives from where I started.
I no longer have the option to connect my phone to my PC wirelessly.before I had the option via the menu Sony Erricon (now xperia) but here is something missing?
Samsung G6S on verizon, using verizon wireless charger. for months, all was well until updating the phone a few days ago (to G920VVRU3BOG5). now the phone will no longer charge wirelessly.
Why my iphone4s can't remember my house wireless since I update 5.1.1? I have to keep typing the passwords and I can't see "forget the internet' option even when it connected.
