HTC :: Cannot Connect To WIFI Mogul
Aug 10, 2010I cannot connect to wi-fi, and if I go into settings, and try to enable WLAN, it just grays out again. The wi-fi button is not on disable.I've been on wi-fi with it before, infact it's the only way to use Skyfire, since my phone's provider's internet is too slow. What gives?

Mar 9, 2010The GPS radio in my Sprint Mogul/6800 appears to have died. When using the built-in Live Search application or the updated Bing application, trying to use the GPS results in a "Getting position..." message that eventually times out. It seems odd the rest of the phone would keep working 100% normally. So far I've just hard reset it, but with the same problem. My only ideas are to 1) reflash the firmware, or 2) look for disassembly instructions and hope some part of the antenna came loose once when I dropped it.Does this make sense?Would anybody who knows the guts of the 6800 tell me if taking it apart would be a waste of time?

Jul 30, 2010I replaced my moguls screen and when turned on all settings and esn hex, dec hex are all 0000's i was able to recover my esn and dec but it says no service. This phone is with sprint. I know is an old phone but it has a lot of sentimental value and would like to continue to use. can someone help me please and or post correct pst settings. I updated customs roms and downgraded but nothing seems to work. please please help. I have 4 days reading and reading and yet no answer.

Mar 1, 2010I've been looking around and I'm not really finding too much information.First of all, I need to know the dB Gain of the internal 1900MHz antenna, which is just a piece of aluminum curved around a few times. Second of all, I need to know what the external antenna plug is called. It kind of looks like MMCX, or MCX, or maybe MC-Card... Although I can not be sure unless I order these connectors to test out.
I know I can get the Wilson external antenna adapter but I think it is too big for what I need. I'd like to get something I can mount on the board permanently and just add an external 3-7 dB Gain omni-directional antenna for travel usage, or connect a 15+ dB Gain outdoor directional antenna when being used inside. Pictures below are 1, antenna connectors, and 2, screw on SMA 3-7 dB Gain antenna for use while traveling. Added a 2 pics of the jack on the Mogul for the external antenna, first is not a good quality pic though.
HTC :: Snap In Exchange For A Sprint Mogul (PPC-6800)
Feb 12, 2010So I am a Mogul owner.It's currently broken. Since they do not manufacture the Mogul any longer, the "Snap" is what they are trying to replace it with. Well, needless to say, there are a few things about this that make me happy. In the past, when this happened, they replaced with with an equivalent priced item, equivalently performing item, or the next upgrade to what I had (if they had nothing equivalent).There are a few things that the Snap does not have that are very important to me. Mainly, Wi-Fi, the screen size, and lack of touch screen. Though, I think the biggest problem, is that I do not like the way it looks. Has anyone here had a mogul and got a Snap afterwards, either by choice, or upgrade? What was your experience with it. Pros? Cons? (or just the cons). I am looking for short comings found in the Snap that are found in the Mogul.

Apr 21, 2012My husband's iPhone 3GS isn't connecting to our wifi even though the network is showing in his list of networks. Both my iPhone 4s and my son's iPod touch are connecting ok. I've switched his wifi on and off, switched the phone on and off and reset network settings but it is still not working. In my wifi options our network has a tick against it but on his the processing circle thing is against it.

May 17, 2012when i try and connect it to my WiFi it doesnt do anything. By this i mean that it doesn't connect but also an error message doesn't pop up. The little loading icon just stays there the whole time and doesn't make any progress. It has been like this for about 2 or 3 weeks now and i haven't updated it or done anything that might have caused this problem. Occasionally i do get the blue signal lines at the top of my screen but they disappear as soon as i try and do something with the internet. I am currently on version 5.0.1.

May 7, 2011I work at a remote mine site for 2 weeks at a time and when i come here i don't have any cell service BUT i do keep in contact with family and friends through BBM (connecting through wifi.) NOW last time i was on my two weeks off my phone was acting slow, so i looked up how to speed it up and read that if i download some version of whatever ".246" from what i was running at the time ".144" it would speed up my phone.. I didnt install it just downloaded it on my two weeks off while i was in cell phone coverage area but when i got to camp i decided to install this upgraded program overnight while i was sleeping. When i woke up it shows i am connected to a wifi signal and i can access the internet browser and that all works fine like normally BUT it wont let me connect through bbm. it says that BBM is not connected to a network.. It says BBM Enterprise Service is "not connected" and Blackberry Internet Service is "Not connected" and mobile network is "not connected" What happened and how do i fix this so i can bbm again while i am here?? or do i have to wait two weeks till i leave camp and go back to home where i have cellphone signal?

Both PC and phone are in the same network (ex. 192.168.1.x, where x is the IP address for each device).What i can't manage to do i connect my PC and my pone via Wi-Fi, i followed the manual on page 111:[URL]The manual suggests the following:To pair your phone wirelessly with a computer using Media transfer mode:
1 Make sure Media transfer mode is enabled on your phone. It is normally enabledby default.
2 Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
3 Computer: Once the phone name appears on the screen, click Networkconfiguration and follow the instructions to pair the computer.
4 When you are finished pairing, disconnect the USB cable from both devices.
The above instructions only work if Windows® 7 is installed on your computer and the computer is connected to a Wi-Fi® Access Point via a network cable. (i have win7 x64 and my PC is connected to the Wi-Fi router via LAN)The problem is i can't get past step 3, as soon as i connect my phone to the PC the PC Companion recognizes it and there is no Network Configuration options availible like the manual said there would be. When i go to the Connectivity settings it says "No trusted hosts". Do i need to port-forward some port, If yes i know how to do do it, but i don't know which port.

It does not ask me to first connect to a wifi network. Due to this I can't sync all my backed up information. I know with my lumia 920, out of the box with no sim card inside I was asked to connect to wifi before being asked for a MS account.
