Does anyone know where I can find a clean version of the Desire ROM that is one the Euro version? I just ordered a Telstra Desire given it has the 850 band for ATT, but I also understand that the SW is branded for Telstra. I would like to reflash with the unbranded Desire ROM.
I know that MaDaCo (Paul O'Brien) has his ROM out there, but I think it modified for the Nexus one. I am looking for a stock Euro Desire ROM.
Yes, I know the Nexus is available for AT&T, but for those who are interested in the Desire this may be interesting -Now, my question is...would the Telstra version work on AT&T's network and catch 3G? I know that SIM unlocked Desires are going to be shipped out in the next few weeks (I myself have ordered one), but if there is a possibility that the Telstra version would work...it would definitely be worth looking into
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have been using Telstra.Corp apn on my iPad2 for almost a year and it works just fine, I can use RDP or VNC to connect to my servers at work from anywhere, IP scan the entire LAN and still connect to the internet. I removed the SIM from the iPAD2 and inserted same SIM into my iPhone 4s and setup Telstra.Corp apn, I can use the Personal Hotspot to tether internet and enable my iPad to still connect to my LAN devices (servers) and still access the internet. The problem is the iPhone itself only allows internet on the iphone device but does not allow access to network resources (RDP or VNC servers), tethering to iPAD is no problem but on its own hardware it doesn't work.

I bought an unlocked Bold 9900 and when I swithced it on it showed the optus network as the default. Put in a telstra sim card and changed provider to them. However after 5-10 minutes it defaults back to Optus. Been to Telstra they say its locked to Optus, spoke to Optus they say the IMEI number is not locked to them

The phone has connected to the Telstra 3G network and I can make/receive phone calls and texts, however I have not been able to get a data connection (and my plan has 500GB included) except on the house wifi.

I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.

I have bought N79 Mobile in Univercell, Madivala,Bangalore-68. After 2 months of usage some of the keys stopeed working. I submitted my Mobile in Nokia care and the issue got resolved. After 2 months display went blank . Again i submitted in Nokia care, They said we need to replace LCD. and they have returned the Mobile. After colecting the Mobile i could see that , My handset was not even giving me 3 hours of battery backup. For this same purpose, i Submitted my handset in Nokia care 3 times. But No good luck. Every time they jaust return teh faulty handset telling its resolved. In a period of 5 months, I have submitted my handset to Nokia care more than 7 times. I asked for the replacement. They are not even doing that. I am very much unhappy with the services provided by Nokia. Please let me know how should i proceed further?

My 3G has a firmware problem (error 28) and apple has offered to replace it for $200 (no contract). Since they are discontinuing support for everything 3g and older, will they still have a 3G to replace it with? Reconditioned unit maybe? Or will I get lucky and get a newer 3GS or 4G?

I called again today (Thrusday), and was told someone would call w/in 48 hours. Remarkably, I actually received a call.
They could not fix the E6 They offered a new, not-refurb'd N8, and not an E6 as a replacement, citing the N8 as an "upgrade".
Figure that one out.Worst_Service_EVER I do not want the N8, as it has no qwerty keyboard, but that was the only option given. She gave me 2 days to call her back after thinking about it.
As someone who is planning on acquiring a 9800, it'd be nice to know if the 624mhz can be replaced with a more powerful one? It'd be nice to have the option from any kind of 3rd party if I am to enter a 2yr contract for this device. Thanks. I'm sure i'll be satisfied, but it's the latter half of the contract that I'm worried about as I'd expect RIM to produce more enticing things to come.

Since going to the APPLE store and being told yesterday that the 50.1 update was the best update ever and trusting an APPLE employee.I've had nothing but problems, my iPhone's battery drains faster. Turning brightness low, turning everything off. The battery still drained.I came into the store today; low and behold I got my phone restored, didn't help. Instead of just presenting the option to open the folder to view files in trying to access her phone all of his data was downloaded to her phone. All of her contacts, settings etc are no longer there on her phone.
