I am far from an expert on this 'ere Desire phone but am trying to add a picture from Gallery to a Contact. From Gallery/Picture i can get the list of options from which I pick "Set as" then "contact icon" it then asks to select from ASTRO or HTC people.When I "select contact" it says that no contact matches? Could it be that contacts need to be saved from SIM onto Phone?
View 1 RepliesI buyed sony ericsson xperia mini pro few months back. at that time i synced my contacts with facebook with facebook app. And i got all my friend's profile pictures as my contact pictures. But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. I want to get them done as quickly as possible.

I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter having gone a couple of months withs with Gingerbread without any problems to report I started experiencing a strange thing with incoming calls, texts, emails, etc.For incoming calls, the number displayed is the correct number but the screen pulls an incorrect name from my contacts list and displays a picture (taken from either LinkedIn or Facebook profiles) that is from a third, different contact.So the number is for Contact A and is the actual caller, the name that is displayed is contact B and the photo is contact c.If I go to make an outgoing call, the same thing in the inverse occurs.I choose Contact A and it dials contact A but displays it is calling contact B.This has caused me to have to double & triple check when I am making calls to ensure that it is calling the right contacts.
A similar thing happens for texts, incoming texts display the correct number from which they are originating but display that they are from a different contact name.When I go to send a text and enter a number it indicates that it is sending it to the correct phone number but with a different name assocaited with that number. Finally, something similar is happening in email messaging. If I hit reply, while the actual email address is correct the contact name that it lists is incorrect.
Having scanned a contact bar code, I am now "waiting for authorization " but the contact has not received a text so they can't accept the offer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn the previous OS 4.6, if I received a new SMS message from someone I didn't have in my contacts list, all I had to do was scroll up to the number, click the menu key, and then select "Add to Contacts" and then I could enter in all of the other pertinent information and save. On OS 5.0, however, I can not scroll up to the contacts number no matter what I do and there appears to be no way to add the number to my contacts without manually adding it or some other round-a-bout way.

When I am at the "New Group" screen, and it asks me to "Add a Member," I click the trackball and it brings me to my contact list. Then, whether I click the trackball or the menu button on the contact, I seem unable to add a member.
I cant seem to just add one contact it has to be two or more. i put the contact click ok but nothing happens but if theres two contacts i can compose an sms.

Deleted BBM an reinstalled. Tried adding contact with PIN, barcode and email. Always goes to pending. Same happens when contact trys to add me. At my wits end with itUpgraded to new OS software (Via vodafone remote access) but still same problem. reinstalled new version of bbm but problem still exists. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 3g and when I set the alert tone for message alerts for a contact it still plays the default tone.If I goto contact info it shows that is has the tone that I had set for it.I have tried rebooting, deleting contact and re adding them with the tones.When I deleted and readded it worked ok for a brief moment but then reverted back to using the default.It uses the proper ringtone.Its just the message tone I am having a problem with.

But it's a new phone and I don't have any records in there. I jusr want to add some more contacts. I found one option to go on icloud and make new groups and add the contacts I want to those groups.
I cannot figure out how to get those new groups to actually show up on my phone.
I don't use icloud for anything, other than backing contacts, thats it.Â
BTW, without using any additional programs or downloads.Â

I think I inadvertly deleted or blocked a contact on BBM. I have read several posts and tried several methods of re-adding them.
They can see my invitation, accept it so that I show as a contact on their BBM, but the status remains pending on my phone & I don't receive their messages.
BBM works fine for all of my contacts. I have tried deleting them as a contact, inviting them by PIN no, scanning barcodes.
So for a conference call the Manual says During call press Menu key Click add participant Type a phone number or high lite a contact Press the send key During the second call press the send key to join your first contact to the conference call? Real easy if you have a "Add participant" icon on the menu you can click on or if the "add participant" key is lit up on the phone home screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I add a new contact to my IPhone 4s Address Book ("Contacts") it sometimes crashes if you enter all the information and tap "done". It doesn't crash if you first enter the first/last name - tap done - open the contact and edit it. After "Contacts" crashes the new entry is not saved.
It is very annoying especially if you are on the go or you ask the person 3 times for their contact details...

Is there a way to add a pause or wait to a phone number in the contact list? The purpose would be to dial an extension number of enter a PIN for a calling card. This is easily done in MOTO phones, several brands of PDAs and I believe, Nokia phones.
