Google Nexus 5 :: Deleting Gmail Emails From Phone Not Deleting Them From Server
Jun 14, 2014Just got a replacement N5 and I'm using the native email app (as I was on my previous N5), with gmail syncing turned on. The problem is when I delete an email on my phone, it's not deleting it from the Gmail server (it's still there if I check email on my PC). Some setting on the phone or in Gmail on the PC that I'm forgetting about?

Nov 4, 2015today I installed the new android 6.0 factory image, rooted it (used the modified boot.img from the previous build) and installed supersu 2.52 and blu spark kernel. Everything good until i deleted some apps (gmail, webview, youtube and other NON CRITICAL apps, like I ALWAY DO SINCE KITKAT), then rebooted and my phone is stuck at the Google logo, not even the bootanimation shows up.. Tried to reflash the boot.img, wipe cache, wipe data, factory reset but nothing.. The only thing that worked is to reflash the factory image! What am I doing wrong? Happened 2 times in a row so something must be wrong.. Another thing, I can't access TWRP every time, sometimes it skips and boots directly..

Sep 13, 2015My Google's Messenger app is showing the new SMS notification but when I click to open it, it shows the SMS thread with the text, but instantly goes back to the thread list showing the last saved SMS ad being from Aug 18.This has been happening for almost a month now. Something similar happens when sending texts, I compose the text, press send and get a red status below the text saying it failed and when I go back to the thread list, the last text is again the one from Aug 18.Hangouts is working fine, but I hate it for SMS. I've disabled and renabled the Messenger app but it's still happening.

Mar 8, 2015Like the title says, I am trying to make my Nexus 6 assign certain ringtones to certain contacts on my phone using Zedge. Now I go through the process and it takes the tone and I save it on the contact but then it just goes back to using the default ringtone in the settings menu. I used this to do the assignment and it still won't do it. I don't understand why it won't let me put custom ring tones I contacts, I like to have a ring and text tone for each person on my phone that way I know who it is before I even look at the phone.

I saw a similar post of someone flashing nexus 4 firmware on accident and he fixed it this way, but i think the command lines must be different since his command lines were using nexus 4 directories

Jul 14, 2015So basically, for no reason (no update, no restart of the device), my Nexus 5 does not show my music in Google Play Music, and my Ringtones/Alarms/Notifications that I customized do not work too (and they do no show in the list when I try to apply parameters).
No file has disappeared:
- Music is in Nexus5 > Internatl Storage > Music
- The rest of the stuff is still in Nexus 5 > Internal Storage > Ringtones, or Alarms.
Everything is here right at its place. But nothing works as before. I tried to restart the device, but no. I tried to empy cache/clear data/force stop of Google Play Music, but no. I did the same with the Media Storage app, and it did not work too. I got all the files out and back with other names, but no.
Moreover, since I forced stop of Google Music and relaunched it, now my library is polluted my dozens of songs and albums that I suppose are automatically put here as a "try it" thing, but I don't want them appearing at all, even more in my small library (okay, right now, nothing would appear I know).

Aug 3, 2015I was using the Cataclysm Rom for months without any problems. Today I restarted my phone (I do this every other day, when it gets a little bit slow) and it stuck in bootloop.
I tried wiping dalvik/cache, doing a factory reset, reflashing Cataclysm, nothing worked. So I decided to go back to stock (using [URL] ....) and I'm still stuck in a bootloop every time. I can access and use fastboot/stock recovery in the normal way, but it won't boot.. What I could do?
