As long as I can remember, my photos have been syncing to Dropbox as soon as I take them on my Nexus. I'm not sure how this started, but at first I thought it would be useful. However, now I'd like to stop it as I'm fed up with having multiple copies everywhere. But I don't know how to stop it.
View 5 RepliesI just switched from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a HTC One M8. I have a problem with Dropbox (or my understanding of the way it works on HTC). As I understand it and from my previous experience with Samsung - pictures which are synchronised to Dropbox - are stored in 2 folders:
1) Camera Uploads.
2) Photos
Each directory of which is synchronised and viewable in your phone "Gallery". I previously used the HTC Transfer Tool to move stuff from my old phone to the new HTC.
I will add though I am pretty sure that the "integration" works in this manner. The pictures on Dropbox are not synchronising/showing up in my "Gallery" in the HTC One M8. Not showing up as Albums, Timeline, Events etc.
On my Galaxy S3 and S4, whenever I took a picture, it would immediately upload it to Dropbox using the camera upload feature in Dropbox.
I have the same settings on my Nexus 5, but it only seems to work when I open the Dropbox app. It does not happen automatically after I take a picture. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it still seems to have the same issue.
Let say that i am downloading many photos from internet like wallpapers and stuff but that is not showing in Photos app of lollipop in nexus 5?? and after taking picture from my camera it get backed up on my gmail account, but then after when i dont get internet then my phone do not open that photo and keep showing loading circle, but when i do have internet i can see that pic again. and i dont want that kind of trouble.

Over and over and over again. It didn't do this in previous versions. I don't know if this is a Nexus problem, a Lollipop problem, or a Google+ app problem. But, how I get it to stop?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI did restore to the defaults on my HTC One and after the reset, the photos which I uploaded to Dropbox don't appear at the Dropbox tab in the Gallery of my HTC One. When I click on the Dropbox tab at the Gallery of my phone it appears: "This user has no album to show" the same happens and on Google Drive. Before the reset everything was normal.

I just recently purchased a Nexus 5. I was a Windows Phone 8 user so this is a big change for me since this is my first ever Android device. With my Windows Phone, one thing I used to use a lot was the calendars. Whatever I would put in my phone would go onto my Calendars app in my Windows 8 laptop and reversal. It'll popup and give me notifications. With Android, I have noticed I can't do that. I am now using Google Calendars. What is a solution I can use so that whatever reminder I put in my calendars in my Nexus goes directly to my computer and I get notifications automatically?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Nexus 6 settings unter Interruptions, I have "only allow priority interruptions" set, and priority interruptions have "calls" selected, while "events and reminders" and "messages" are deselected.
Despite this, I keep getting popups from Hangouts while I'm playing games. There is no way to mute Hangouts indefinitely, either. I am ready to throw my phone through the wall.
I have Hangouts notifications completely blocked now, but that's not really what I want. I just want it to not send pop-up notifications while I'm in another app. Seems like this should be a no-brainer.

Now I switched to Nexus 6 and my contacts no longer show in BMW, while bluetooth pairing was successful. I can make calls in the car, receive calls in the car, see my sms messages on the car screen, etc. The only option that is missing is contacts view and search.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Chronus clock and an Accuweather widget that wil randomly stop updating. The only way to resolve this is to reboot the phone. The Chronus clock works ok, but the battery meter will randomly stop updating. The Accuweather wigdet will also stop. If I remove and re-add the Accuweather app, all I get is the "Loading" screen.
I am on a Nexus 6 on the T-Mo network. Currently running OS 5.1.1, build LYZ28J.

There are plenty of instructions out there, but they all vary to a certain degree, so I'd be grateful to hear from someone who has actually done it. Up to now I have been using an app called Smoothsync, but I've had many problems with it.
I think I'll have to go the Google way, but there are so many different instructions that I don't know which to follow, and the last thing I want to do is screw up my contacts database.
Android hasn't been syncing saved network info for me since I was on my Note 2 6 months ago. So now I have all my saved Wi-Fi info on the N7 (which never leaves home), and it never synced to my N6 or G3 before that.
Any ways to troubleshoot this?? I do have app data checked to sync on both the gmail accounts on my Nexus 6.

Rather than using the yahoo mail app i simply use gmail to access my yahoo account, but for the last few weeks it hasn't been syncing.
I delete the account and re add it and it works for a day but then it stops syncing, i delete the account again and add it and it works for another day but then it stops. Is yahoo neutering anyone that isn't using their app to check mail?
I've had my Nexus 5 for a couple of weeks and from the day one I've noticed that from time to time it stopped vibrating for short periods of time. Then after a couple of seconds, or even a minute it would start up again. It does that at least once or twice a day.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGot to the end of a run today and my RunKeeper app was locked up. I finally got it to close, but then the phone started rapidly and constantly cycling through apps and screens, even moving apps and widget around. It's like an invisible person is constantly touching and dragging their fingers across the screen. Holding down the power button for 5 seconds got it shut down, but when restarted, it resumed it's app cycling. I could have gotten some sweat (from my run) on the volume buttons or down in the headset jack, so I stuck it in a bag of rice to cover that possibility. A factory reset is an option I can explore later tonight if no other suggestions are made.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out if there is a way that I can turn off background data/automatic syncing in all of my apps when I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Besides going in to each app and turning off the syncing.
The reason for this is that I'm going to be going on a cruise and the Wi-Fi on the ship is not exactly cheap, so I'd like not to go through a lot of data every time I connect to it because all of my apps decide that they are going to connect.
I have a Nexus 5 running 6.0.
I've read about the "Metered Wi-Fi network" settings, but it doesn't say exactly what it does - it mainly talks about restricting background data on a mobile network, and setting data limits on a mobile network, even though it's supposed to be about Metered Wi-Fi networks.
The speakers came back once and then stopped again. I tried a factory reset. Is this a hardware malfunction or could it be a results of 6.0?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think with the latest Google+ Update, it modified the Photos app. Now my only option is to display all photos grouped together whereas before, you could sort by Camera photos, and then look into your different folders. I don't find this useful at all, and really don't want to go back to using the Gallery app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have followed the threads showing the various ways to get the driver correct, but this time, my issue is slightly different. The driver shows as Nexus 5. I have uninstalled and let it reinstall. I have checked to be sure the USB debugging is unchecked. When I try the step of Settings-> Storage -> click on the three dots, I only get "Help & Feedback". Both my Nexus 5 and my Windows updated yesterday. Also, I get an error 10 message when I try to reinstall the MTP USP device and the driver remains "Nexus 5".

The phone will just switch off. Pressing the power button would not work at all. The only thing that can revive it is a power surge i.e. plugged in a power source. I now have my new device and I am wanting to save my photos to it. But I want to do so in an organized manner. Such as putting all the kids pics in the kids folder type thing. Right now, they are all jumbled up because last time I had to do it through Bluetooth. I read through some forums and saw that you can do that by going to the highlights section...but that only goes so far back [in time] and doesn't have all my photos in it. Not sure how to do it, and I don't want to lose any of my photos, like other people have been by using google to store pics. I want the memory card slots back!
