I have a galaxy s6 g920f and i recently updated it to 5.1.1 via odin wih build number bofj;I'm not liking the firmware as it cant be rooted via pingpong so i tried cf auto root but it stuck on the boot screen so is there anyway to root it? Or can I downgrade to 5.0.2 back and i have seen some guys who reset the knox counter (which is shown in the bootloader) so I have got knox 01 (00500) is there anyway I can get it back to zero?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased an S6 off of CL yesterday, was able to use it all evening and set it up via Wifi (purchased it after Verizon stores were closed, so have not been able to get a SIM card or get it activated with service). Everything was working perfectly.
This morning it asked to update, I accepted. Ever since the update when booting it is stuck on the red verizon screen. I have tried clearing the cache and doing a factory reset, no changes.
I have a G920I that I just rooted with Odin. After that I installed TWRP manager and used it to install TWRP recovery. On reboot i am stuck at the black and white powered by android screen. I can reboot the phone with the volume down and power button combo but i cannot get it to boot into download mode using volume up+home+power buttons.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo i have a sprint s6 with 5.1.1 OBE. I have flashed a kernel for root. I found a video online to make RAM more managable and it had to do with earasing some data in the files and reboot. Now my phone is stuck on a boot loop and goes into the "Sprint spark" screen for like 5 min and restarts. Rocovery mode does not work but download mode does. I was thinking of trying to update with smart switch since there is a small update or maybe re flashing the kernel but i dont think that work and the stock roms for OFE arnt online yet.

I also did factory rest after installing also cleared cache but nothing happens. I tried France stock ROM 5.1.1 XEF I guess also UK BTE but I got same results.. but I can install custom ROM and it works fine but I need to return my phone but can't until it's on stock ROM.
It also says dm-verity verification failed. I just need to boot with stock ROM other error or warning messages don't matter..
So my Z2 ran out of battery last night, and this morning no matter how much it is charged it gets stuck at the telstra logo when booting?The only way to turn the device back off is to hold the power and up volume buttons.I have not flashed or modded the phone in any way.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy HTC One M7 is stuck on the boot screen and I really don't know what to do anymore. Yesterday I deleted some music and 4gb of pictures from my phone to make some space. After that I checked for updates It said an update was available regarding some bugfixes and other issues. I let it download and install. At the end of the install process, I think I saw just the normal updating screen, but with the red pyramid exclamation mark icon. After that, it rebooted just like normal, first the white HTC screen, then the startup sound, and then the white HTC One screen. Only this time it didn't go further than that. My phone is not rooted or tampered with in any way.
I know a factory reset is the easiest thing to do, but if it's possible, I'd really like to fix the problem with all my data intact. My pictures etc are all back upped, and I have the HTC backup thingy (I think), but still, there's some things like WhatsApp messages I'd really like to keep.

I just bought a S6 to use Samsung Pay.
Received it today, fist thing I had to do was update it from 5.0.2. So I used the OTA update from t-mobile option (as it offered it as soon as I turned the phone on and connected to Wifi).
I click the "Restart and apply update" when it had finished downloading, set the phone down, browse the internet for a little and notice it was hanging on the Samsung logo.
I try to turn it off and on, nothing works. I try entering recovery mode, won't let me.So I then download and try manually flashing 5.1.1 through ODIN.
Everything says "PASS" in ODIN, it reboots and gets to the Samsung logo, shows the android robot, says "installing updates" but when the bar reaches about 45% it switches to "erasing" then goes back to getting stuck on the Samsung Logo.
What can I do ? I really don't want to trip knox as Pay is the sole reason I bought this stupid phone, all other Stock ROMS now fail odin and G920TUVU3DOI1_G920TTMB3DOI1_G920TUVU3DOI1_HOME.tar is just doing the Install then erase thing.
I have a friend's Galaxy S6 here. A password was suddenly set and nobody knew why, she really said it came out of nowhere! So she asked me to get her photos from the phone and reset it afterwards.
I did that on other phones before so I flashed TWRP and pulled the files with adb. I tried to reboot after that and was stuck at the boot screen. I tried flashing some stock firmware from stockrom.net but Odin always says FAIL!
Earlier today, while my tour was charging it randomly rebooted itself, but it wouldn't boot all the way - the load screen froze about 2/3 of the way through and then didn't do anything (for like 15 minutes) I did both a hard and soft reset, but the phone still won't boot past that point. Because it won't boot, I can't connect it to the computer to reinstall the OS or anything.

When I tried to boot up the LG, it sticks on the LG start up screen. I tried to reset it by holding down the volume and on/off button, but all I get is a "fastboot" screen that does nothing.
I tried looking up information on this, but it's all technical talk and I don't understand any of it.
Any way to get this phone working again? I don't care if its wiped clean and have to start over.

I've been running Android M preview (3?) for a while on my Nexus 6.2 months ago my USB-connector of the phone broke and only because I also have a wireless charger I can continue to use my phone.Just now I tried a headphone and noticed that viper4android wasn't working, which it did a while ago.I still had the file viper_aio_fixes.zip in my download folder I used to get it going a long time ago. I booted into recovery, flashed that zip and did a reboot.Now it is stuck at the black screen with only the text "Google" and a padlock.I am able to boot into fastboot where I can go in the several modes including recovery mode (Team Win Recovery Project v2.8.5.0). I don't have any possibility to connect it to my computer using an USB. The device does still have warranty, but I can't miss my phone.
Anyway as usual I don't do lot of research (I'm stupid I guess), so first I flash CF-Auto-Root via Odin and... surprise phone is stuck on boot logo, so I don't panic too much , I install TWRP via Odin and everything is ok, then I download a stock firmware 3483.1 MB and try to flash it via odin but oh surprise, it fails, on the phone screen say

So since I'm rooted i went into twrp and tried my password there. it worked there but not on regular boot up. I have not used my phone in any wrong way. I did not install a custom rom or anything. no root. randomly in my every day normal usage of my phone, it started to restart. and the the problem got worse and worse. for a few minutes, i will be able to use my phone but then my phone will restart and be stuck restarting. most of the times I can't even go into recovery mode. It restarts again when i get to that. I already resetted my phone, and I wiped the partition.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920W8 telus/koodo 32 gb. i got the battery replaced by samsung but that didnt work. i noticed that after a few hours, my phone stops restarting when it reaches to 10% battery life.
my phone has been playing up and generally malfunctioning lately. It seems to work fine for a day or so before freezing, and either rebooting itself or forcing me to manually reboot it using power + volume down. This seems to send it into a bootloop where it generally freezes during the Samsung animation with the pulsing squares. This sequence continues with me manually rebooting, also trying to boot to safe mode and to recovery and after various attempts, i successfully got into recovery without it freezing on the blue android.
I then decided to factory reset as a last option, having looked around on forums for solutions. However, I now do not know what to do as it seems to have frozen during the factory reset. I dont have screenshots but the script reads as follows :
