Jan 7, 2011Is there any way on how to close programs on X8 except on downloading advanced task killer apps? because clicking on the back button could only minimize the program and it could drain the battery fast...
are there any way on how to do it or i will just have to download the adv. task killer on the market? also, are there any apps on how to save the battery of the x8?
Galaxy S6 :: Programs / Apps Repeatedly Switch Between Each Other
Nov 8, 2015My wife's Galaxy S6 is only a 4 months old and for the last 2 months she has been dealing with this issue of her phone just randomly switching between apps and programs. For example her phone will just be sitting on the table and we hear a clicking noise (the same noise like when you text) so I look we look at phone and it's switching between messages, pandora, phone list etc. there is not set of apps/programs it chooses them at random. I tried shutting down some apps and no good. I called AT&T and they had me do a factory reset of the phone, no good.
Took it to the store and they sent us to the service center for replacement. But when we got there they said there is water damage to the phone so we are SOL. She works at a hospital and when she comes home, all she does is wipe down the phone with a baby wipe and that's it. I tried to explain to them I understand where they are coming from but this is clearly a software issue. They are refusing. I told them I work in the IT field and again it's clearly software issue or a lemon device, but they are hanging their hats on water damage of course.
So my question to you all, is there some way to roll back the software or to jailbreak it to fix this issue?

Not sure if it's all of them, or just the recently opened ones before the restart.
It scrolls through them so fast that i can't really make note of all of them.

Feb 21, 2010today i tried to use my camera and i got an error message. Message told me that the camera was unable to open and to close any programs that are open before i try again. The only programs that are open are the necessary ones.

Jul 18, 2015So basically I rooted and wanted to get rid of some of the bloat, and I removed fb Instagram, the Google+, mag, news, movies and music apps because I never use them, but now when ever I use voice search, it fcs and I'm not really sure, I used titanium to remove everything, could it be because of the other apps i removed?
If i remove google app and reinstall it would that be a fix? I'm stock rooted btw.

Jul 13, 2015Google Calendar, and my phone app keeps opening on their own randomly. Every once and awhile my text messaging (Textra) or Dashlane will open.
It only opens however when the screen is shut off and I unlock the phone using my finger.
I don't know why its doing this and its so random.

Sep 7, 2015I downloaded tons of apps for my galaxy s6 edge 64 gb so i made groups according to the app type but yesterday i went to a snow park where the temperature was like -7°C so when we got out, it showed that my sim card was removed so i restarted it. When it switched on, all those groups were gone except one which had facebook, tumblr and vine. When i see my installed apps on the play store, it shows all of them (the apps which disappeared) are still installed. They also appear in the app manager.

So is there a way to lock the homescreen and the apps that are displayed there? The wife is having a problem where she can just be holding her phone in her palm and when she looks at her phone the next time, most of her apps are missing. Is there anyway you can lock the apps in place? I know with the iphone there are a few things needed to make apps disappear (hold icon, hit "X", tap on DELETE. All pretty specific spots within the screen that need to be tapped.

Jul 27, 2015I have had my galaxy s6 edge for a few months and I love it. Just recently, though, I have been experiencing some issues. My phone gets very hot and a notification pops us that says "Closing apps to cool down", all of my unnecessary apps close and then my home-screen image changes to the default. This has happened about 3 times and I am wondering if it may be a defect in my phone. Ever since this issue started my battery life has been terrible it only lasts about 6-7 hours. I wipe cache pretty much every week and I am on Verizon.

Jul 14, 2015I got a Galaxy S6 Edge a couple of weeks ago. Everything was as it should be until a few days ago. The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. I just got the the phone set-up the way I wanted so the the thought of a factory reset makes me queasy.
