View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen you opened up the app drawer there used to be a tab on top for "apps" and another for "widgets" and if you scrolled through your apps, the next swipe to the right took you to your widgets. Now there's no tab for widgets and if you scroll to the end of your apps you just loop around to the beginning of them again. So where did my widgets go?

Using Nova Launcher rebooting at night while charging and also changing the wallpaper too?
It has happened two night in a row.
Just trying to figure out what's causing the change of wallpaper while charging at night. Can't figure out what's the cause...just thought Nova was the cause as I googled and saw that Nova has done it before

I'm not getting either with nova, but with Touchwiz I at least get Samsung unread badges.
For some reason my counter option in nova settings keeps turning itself off! It'll work fine for a day or 2 then just stop. Open up settings and it's been switched off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a galaxy s5, wanted to customize the screens and icons a bit more, read about nova launcher and downloaded. Am very happy with the screens and icons, etc. but ever since I did that I can't use google maps gps. What I try to put in an address to ask for directions it says "turn by turn navigation is only available in these location modes: high accuracy (or) device only" Then you have the option of hitting ignore, which means you still don't get directions, or settings, which takes you to the location section of settings. Location is set to on, but I can't see any place where "high accuracy" is an option and don't remember this ever being an issue with my S3 - which is why I think this is related to the Nova Launcher?how to fix it. I'll uninstall the launcher if I have to but wondering if there is an alternative.

View 1 Replies View RelatedToday in the Google Blog a very interesting post popped up:We started shipping Nexus phones more than two years ago to give you a pure Google experience and access to the latest Android updates. Today, weve started selling Galaxy Nexus (HSPA+) from a new Devices section in the Google Play web store, so you can quickly and easily purchase an unlocked version of the phone. We want to give you a place to purchase Nexus devices that work really well with your digital entertainment.
Galaxy Nexus by Samsung runs the latest Android software, Ice Cream Sandwich, with Google mobile services, Google Play and new features like Android Beam and Google+ mobile hangouts. It also offers a 4.65 HD Super AMOLED display thats perfect for watching movies, playing games or reading books on the go.
First available in the U.S., Galaxy Nexus costs $399 and arrives at your door unlocked, without a carrier commitment or contract. You can use it on the GSM network of your choice, including T-Mobile and AT&T. It also comes pre-installed with the Google Wallet app which lets you easily make purchases and redeem offers with a tap of your phone. Best of all, we'll give you a $10 credit to get you started with your new mobile wallet.
Weve come a long way since the first Android devices started hitting shelves three and a half years ago and since the launch of the first Nexus device. More than 300 million Android devices have been activated globally. Weve worked with developers and content partners to launch Google Play, offering more than 500,000 apps, millions of songs and books, and thousands of movies. And weve implemented new customer support services to improve the purchasing experience on Google Play. Weve taken all of this into consideration in designing Devices on Google Play. We hope to bring it to more countries soon.

Part of me is curious in thinking, did Google finally have enough of carrier involvement and lacklustre software updates. Are they trying to retake back their channel and get the store working. We all know Apple's retail model is a direct success. I would love Google to adopt apple's approach and tell the carriers to take it or leave it and sell direct as well.
After the Galaxy Nexus I will admit that i've been turned off Google.
When all the different variants came up like Yakju and Yakjuux etc etc etc I immediately was left with a bad taste in my mouth. Was Google updating this phone, or was it Samsung Canada.
I want this to restore the perception that "Nexus" devices are Google devices, through and though
Thoughts?
My wife and I both have the Galaxy S6. Recently, we have been missing many important calls . They seem to go directly to voicemail, despite full bars of reception. The other day I was waiting for an important call from Google Play Support and I had the phone right in front of me and it never rang but I received a voicemail notification.
I have read about some users in Canada having similar problems, but I can't find anything similar for T-Mobile users in the U.S. It seems to have started after the 5.11 update. It also appears to happen more frequently at home, which would suggest that it has to do with being connected to WiFI, since I always have a strong cell signal at home.
how do i set up wifi direct to transfer files between pc and phone?

Ok so I just got my M8 today and so far love it. However I have found a small issue that really bothers me. For some reason when on the lock screen if I swype left to go to home screen it always takes me to the screen just to the right of blinkfeed. I have changed my home screen and reset it so that my home screen is in the middle of two panels. Blinkfeed is two to the rignt. However regardless each time I swype left on lock screen it takes me to the (what was the default) panel where the home screen used to be.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Galaxy S6 and noticed that when I swipe to call the phone does nothing on the first try (except for showing the green bar with the words "call"). Sometimes it opens the calling screen for a millisecond but then reverts back to contacts. On the second try however it does connect the call. The same happens when I'm in the phone dialer. I'll type in the number, press dial and then it just goes back to the dial screen as if I didn't type in anything. After typing in the number and pressing dial a second time does the phone actually call the number.
It also sometimes happen that the phone will call (showing calling), but the call never connects. After ending the call and redialing does the call go through and connect.
I have a brand new ozone that I need to program for Pageplus. I need to dial *22890, but I can't dial. The phone prompts me to hit the send key which dials *228, which does me no good. Is there any way to make this thing dial the number I need?
