Two days after owning this phone I had the dreaded bent metal issue near the volume button. I flashed pure nexus on it though and I'm trying to get it back to stock before I take it back into bestbuy to get a new one. My stock nandroid backup fully flashes but it won't boot. All I see is the google logo.
I know I can fb flash the stock, but that's so much more of a process. Plus, it doesn't make sense to me that it wouldn't work...
So I made a backup as I wanted to dirty flash PN again to change kernel. My phone bootlooped after I flashed PN and franco kernel. So i decided to restore my working backup..still boot looping... WHY?! this phone never successfully restores backups in my experience.
I am trying to install the stock rom from samsung in odin. it boots the setup screen
'welcome! preparing device for first time use... this may take 3 or 4 minutes... please wait...
It spins for 30 seconds and reboots back to the welcome screen for about 30 seconds and continues to do this over and over and over again. i have tried factory resetting it...re flashing stock roms...Oj7,Ol1, OL1, and still keeps rebooting after about 30 seconds into the setup.
I have a GS6 (international) stuck in bootloop. I need to go into recovery mode to fix it. However, my phone is restarting and stuck in bootloop. I cannot power down the phone from this state and I cannot enter recovery or download mode. I would like to know if there is a special button combination to completely shut down the phone (power button from this state does not work)
I am trying to create a custom firmware for SM-G925F (Galaxy S6 edge). But in the end I get bootloop. What I did:
1. Deodexed /system (unpacked from original firmware) by JoelDroidLollipopBatchDeodexer (based on oat2dex). 2. Synced deodexed /system/framework, /system/priv-app and /system/app with original /system. 3. Repack system partition with ext2simg from Android 5.0.2 distro and sgs4ext4fs by Chainfire. 4. Prepared ODIN package with repacked system partition.
It flashes OK but after it stucks at bootloop. I did not patched anything yet, just deodexed with the tool.
I tried many different combinations but can't understand why it is not boot. On Android 4.4 I had no problems, but it seems some big under-the-hood changes in Android 5 which I don't fully understand yet...
I ve official rom installed on my S6. I just rooted it. Yesterday after my s6 battery was empty I put it on charger and try to turn on but stuck in bootloop. Every time device shows s6 logo and after that splash screen and keeps rebooting and dont want to boot up. I ve tried randomly wiping cache rebooting. turning on of. and nothing. I do not want to do wipe data/factory reset because i do not have backup of data and do not want to lose it.
Yesterday my friend's S6 (international model) stopped charging and the screen says " Power sharing . The power sharing cable ..." ( view image 1)
then when the battery became 0 the phone turned off. I plugged in the charger (original charger and working perfectly on other phones) but it seems like the phone is not charging . it only shows the following screen (view image 2) for some seconds and the charging led is not turning on.
After leaving the charger plugged in for 10 min, I tried to boot up the phone. It booted but unfortunately it was a bootloop only showing the screen of " Samsung galaxy S6 "
So I booted into recovery and did a wipe cache and wipe data/factory reset but unfortunately the bootloop problem persists.
I don't know what went wrong with the adb update, but now I can't do anything. I can just enter in recovery mode and download mode.
The phone goes in bootloop (It can just load the first booting screen where there is the Samsung s6 logo) and when I try to do the manual update from external sd or adb etc... It says that is disabled. The device was rooted before the 5.1.1 android update.
I have recently rooted my Galaxy S6.I rooted it succesfully,Then I flashed TWRP with Flashify. The app wanted me to restart the phone..I restarted it, and it got stuck in a bootloop. My Android version is 5.1.1.I tried to flash the stock ROM through ODIN and I got this error:"SW REW CHECK FAIL.DEVICE:3 BINARY: 2".
I am on the latest firmware BOI1 and i decided to root my sprint s6 the other day to try and do a sim unlock. so i am trying now to return it to stock. i downloaded the correct firmware and used the latest odin3(i believe it is the latest) and the md5 check would do good but when i tried to flash the actual firmware it kept hanging on "setupConnection" and fails
Wiped cache and factory reset from recovery. It has hung at getting pit now the last couple times. I re downloaded the firmware directly from sammobile website this time.
I got my Galaxy s6 SM-G920F last week and i rooted it, today i tried to use this guide in order to enhance the multitasking on my device [URL] ....
i did backup the build.prop (in the download folder in sdcard) but after i rebooted the device (and followed the guide that i linked) it got stuck in the Samsung logo, I don't have a custom recovery and i dont want to trigger KNOX on. My android version is 5.0.2 ....
I screwed up the root and now I am in a bootloop, I can get into the download screen, however.. I cannot get into the recovery screen where you can reset the phone..
I have the "SM-G920F" And was using Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
I am trying to test BETA Marshamllow on mine S6 but when flashing everyting and then flash Marshmallow Bootloader i stuck on Powered by Android and keeps rebooting.
The steps are: 1. Copy the file named "G920F_3ZPA1_M(6.0.1)_Flashable.zip" to the device SD card. 2. Flash TWRP and Bootloader (5.1.1).tar in ODIN 3. Boot to recovery 4. Flash the (6.0.1) Flashable ZIP in recovery 5. Flash Bootloader (6.0.2) in ODIN
So I have two basic things down. In your home screen or the subsequent screens when you move one shortcut on top of another it gives you the opportunity to create a folder. You can even change the color of these folders. I have created an AT&T folder, Google folder, Samsung folder, Microsoft, and Social (Facebook, Instagram, twitter).
But I wanted to create a folder called "media" or "sports" With apps like Pandora, ESPN, Fox news, Milk, Watch ESPN, NBC Live. To get to all of these apps right now they are in the 12 square little white apps logo down at the bottom by the calendar. When I go into my apps that are alphabetical a through Z. and I try to move one on top of the other by holding it down it takes that app and puts it on one of my home screen. I tried dragging it to the right and then I just create another screen with one icon on it. I have a folder in there, trying to figure out how I even did that?? I know if you click the edit button you get a little - up in a corner of each symbol but I don't want to delete them. I would just like to put ESPN on top of Fox 2 Go, and NBC Live And create a folder called "sports."
I thought about dragging all of these onto a blank page and then create my folder there, but how do I move it back under the "app" it is actually 4x4 white squares. It's just confusing going back and forth because it doesn't seem like it wants you to.
So, last night I was messing around with some custom roms, and tried installing CM, I accidentally installed CM recovery as the boot img, and tried to backup from my backup file that I created via TWRP.
Now, when restoring i get into a bootloop, i think, and if I'm trying to install a custom ROM i either get a status 7 error or it can mount /system. I tried going into the Mount tab in TWRP and checking the system check-box, but it won't let me.
My device: LG Nexus 5 - Lollipop 5.1.1 LMY48B Unlocked bootloader; Rooted; ClockWorkmod 6.0.4.5 (not flashed - just boot on image when used);
I've made a nandroid backup with cwm. Backed Up the files to notebook via adb pull. Then, wiped factory reset (in cwm) and flashed Developer Preview of android M. Boot on android M works like a charm. Then, made an android M nandroid backup with cwm. Backed up these files to notebook via adb pull.
Then, bring back the files of first nandroid backup to device, via adb push. Pushed the correct folder to /data/media/clockworkmod/backup.
-Boot in cwm, made a wipe factory reset (in cwm). -Flashed again 5.1.1 image files (boot, radio, bootloader, system and cache). -Reboot in cwm. -Now, restore nandroid backup (the 5.1.1 one).
Everything looks good, and no error messages by now. But when reboot, I've got a stuck on logo animation. It took a half hour or more, and nothing. There’s nothing to do about it.
I tried found a solution, but the main thing I've heard is to flash 5.1.1 again. I did it, and works. I can bring back to a brand new installation. But I can't use anymore my nandroid backup.
My girlfriend is coming up as something like 20 contacts in the Contacts app on my Samsung S5 with Android 5.0. Even if I link her contacts together, they just get automatically created again. Same think if I delete them. She has several email addresses and we share several apps together such as traffic apps, Facebook, WhatsAPP Skype, etc etc. There is a separate conact for each one. I've tried setting the "Contact to Show" setting to Device (only) but they all still show up so they must be "Device" contacts. I've also got the Contact Setting option checked for "Show only contacts with phone". Even then all her email only and app only contacts show up.
I am looking for a backup app that will backup everything. I have city maps to go but it does not seem to backup the downloaded maps for some reason just the app.
I have a lumia 1020 that i received 2 years ago. i kept it nice and took good care of it. but 3 months ago i tried to update it to windows 10, but i didn't like it so much and got troubled with lots of bugs. so I "factory reset" my phone, so i could return to windows 8.1 again, i came across some kind of spinning gears when resetting. i thought everything would go on, but it seem like to stuck in 30 minutes. Later it shutdown, and begin the update process again.
I can't shut down the phone it the condition, only soft, hard. etc resets works, and when i use one of them. there appears a "low battery sign" that means i have to plug the the charger, afterward it goes back to the the spinning gears, and that is the bootloop. i tried many alternative solutions as the "key combination" or "programs on pc that reset the phone" my phone won't sync with the pc as it should do. it only charge. Now i simply don't know what to do.
I flashed my LG G3 Because i felt that the sound was not working anymore and that it can be a software issue which it was a hard ware issue ( loud speaker wasnt connected because of screw) Anyways preformed the stock FW Flash following the guide that highonandroid provided to go completely back to a stock rom. After flashing i restart phone and the boot takes forever until it finally hangs on the tmobile screen. there was a point where i left it over night to see if it will turn on but it still hung for a good 8 hours. Ive done everything i can which can be that i preformed atleast hundreds of hard resets but nothing is working.. there was a point where i did manage to turn it on then i tried updating to lolipop and when it reboots the bootloop is back..
Last night my phone died, and I left it charging overnight. I'm not sure if it was even charging properly because when I woke up this morning there was no indicator light on. (green or red).
When I try to turn the phone on it just keeps booting to the htc splash then turning black, before repeating the process. I've tried recovery and factory reset from the bootloader but those did absolutely nothing.
Btw I've never rooted my phone or anything like that. It's 100% stock from when I got it.
My Nexus 5 is stuck at the flying dots after Lollipop OTA update. Already try factory reset. Cant connect to my Lap (running Windows 10) because it says in the device manager: Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed), so I cant manually update the driver and cant access it with ADB and Fastboot tool. The device has no USB debugging enabled. In the old computer where I used to connect the device and has the drivers installed says the same thing in device manager as my new laptop.
I'm not really and expert on flashing stuff on Android. I was pretty comfy not rooting my phone for more than a year. TBH, I didn't really need it, because I was not a power user, but I've recently installed a root app called King User (King Root, etc.). It made things easy for the very few apps I could not use without root permission. However, when I received the latest OTA (5.1.1. security update) I had to disable root authorization in order to install it. So I disabled it using the app's built in authorization setting.
The OTA update failed and gave me the error with the opened up android and the red exclamation mark. So I thought that the app messed something up. Disabling in house did nothing. Uninstalling it did nothing. So I decided to replace it with SuperSU using this guide: [URL] .... After SuperSU deleted KingUser and updated itself the phone remained stuck inside a bootloop. So I figured this replacement process messed up permissions.
My bootloader is locked and I have no custom recovery (because like I said, I just needed temporary root access for a couple of apps and wanted to avoid the hassle). When I enter Recovery mode in default fastboot it gives me the "No command" error (probably because of SuperSU permission).
Now I don't even know if the phone is rooted or not. USB debugging was not enabled last time the phone was on and now I think I'm stuck in this point where nothing works without something else. Doing a full recovery now would probably be asking for a lot, but right now, I would be happy if I could just do a factory reset or something...
Nexus on bootloop tried every method ,most of them . Flashing new factory image is also of no good. Cleared cache , factory reset and still on bootloop. On flashing lollipop factory image it gets stuck on boot loop and on flashing KitKat factory image or using any custom ROM like cyanogenmod it gets through boot but is unable to detect sim and apps like play store and camera keep crashing and refuses to open.
