Bought an S5 off an amazon retailer about a month ago and it charges via it's usb cable through any computer or such like device, yet it won't charge via any usb plug adapter. I have tried usb 3.0 and 2.0 samsung official adapters, apple, 'universal' adapters etc with no luck at all.
I tried a factory reset, turned on usb debugging, all except sending it off to samsung.
I just bought my phone and i wanted to know how long i can charge it
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason my phone wont charge it off and when it is off it flashes on and off with the lightning and battery size to charge meaning it takes forever to charge. 5 hours of charge off and its only on 50% and then the battery dies within 2 hours when switched back on. Super annoying. Is it the phone or just need of a new battery.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor the last few days my phone battery only lasts 8 hours without hardly any use. When I plug the charger in, nothing happens. I have to switch off the phone which sometimes reboots when I do this, then it starts charging. I use advance task killer to shut as many apps down as possible but the battery still drains fast. I havent installed anything new for a while. I have looked at the tips on batterys forum but still cant find the problem.

Shut the phone down and plug it in to charge it. The battery with the lightening bolt appears on the screen, with no percentage, then disappears. This happens repeatedly and battery never charges.
I have:
1) Cleaned the ports
2) Factory reset
3) Tried a different cable
4) Tried booting in safe mode (won't charge)
5) Left the phone for an hour (it just did the same thing... battery appears, disappears the whole time)
I'm looking for an adapter for the Nokia E51 that will let me plug my 3.5mm headphones into the 2.5mm jack.
I bought one, but it will only let me hear sound from one channel. I can manage it by adjusting the headphones so that they don't go all the way into the adapter, but all that does is to let me listen to the sound on that channel in both earbuds. Also, the sound sometimes cuts out in that mode.
I've done some research, and it looks like Nokia offer two adapters - the Nokia AD-61 and the Nokia HDA-11. Can anyone tell me if either of these will work for the E51 (i.e. have they tried it and found it worked)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a N97 that charges OK when I plug it in computers USB port or in a (powered) hub.But I also have a USB power adapter that I can plug in a wall socket and it has one USB port (5V/1A) and nothing happens.Same happens when I plug it in my car using a USB adapter.
Since every other phone/MP3-player/device that can be charged via USB works with these, I have to assume that this is something with my phone...
Blackberry torch 9800 gets charged from laptop and wall mount. When I tried using thru car adapter it would not work. I have checked the adapter, it charges the other non blackberry mobile. My Question, do we need to have a special car adapter for blackberry touch or do we need to make some changes in the setup.

I have the small wall-plug-to-USB adapter from my Blackberry that looks like the one below. Is it safe to use a standard Apple 30 pin + USB connecter (pictured below the Bberry connector) with it to charge my iPhone 4S? Otherwise I have to buy a second Apple-branded connector to have one at both home and work.

Iphone 3GS doesn't charge when I connect it to a network adapter or to a laptop. Only ocassionally, it gets connected indicating charging but it is unsystematic. The chargers I tried with work perfectly with others iPhones. If it may help, my iPhone was dropped couple of times. Also from my observations, I think sometimes the iPhone might charge while it shows no charging.

I bought a S2 for my son, now after 11 months the phone won't charge up and gets warm if we leave the charger on.I have another S2 myself and I swapped the battery and charger from mine to my sons and it still would not work.
With it been under 12 months I took it bak to the Orange shop who then sent it to Samsung who then had it for 2 weeks and then said it had water damage and they wont repair it. (My son later admitted he takes his phone into the bathroom and listens to music while having a shower )Taking this on the chin I then took it to a local repair shop who said its the UME - Universal Power Manager that has gone. They have tried to get hold of the part but according to them Samsung dont do this part.

This always seemed ludicrous to me - surely the charging circuitry stops charging once the battery is at 100%

yesterday all of a sudden the home button stopped working then the battery dropped immediately and started saying no service in the top left corner, now it's plugged into the charger and is telling me to plug it into itunes and when i do it says that the iphone is in recovery mode and is not recognized. Suddenly without updating anything i plugged it in my computer to charge it and as soon as i connect the connector the phone shuts down with the red light flashing. I want to disable only the beeping sound when you plug it in to charge. I don't want to turn the volume down or sounds entirely off because I use alarms in other non iOS apps which are too soft if I simply adjust the overall sound effects levels (so please don't bother to recommend that). I just don't like that one noise, sounds like a squeal of pain and is unnecessarily loud.
