If I go to Storage on the S5, the miscellaneous category shows more than 5GB in size but when I click on it and add all the files I get less than 500 MB... what gives? I get alerts that my storage is running low and I should delete some older pictures. Why do that when I could get rid of the misc files (all 5GB of them)
I got Air Sharing when it first came out for free, but I've loaded in some PDFs that are rather large, or at least highly detailed on several pages and lately, Air Sharing has been crashing on me when I read these files. Is there anything better available at handling these higher resolution files than Air Sharing? Or can iPhones just not handle them?
Little JPEGs copy OK, but anything more than a few MB either gives an error "a device attached to the system is not functioning" or Windows Explorer hangs (badly).
Selecting all files in the Pictures folder also causes both errors. It's a fresh install of Windows 7 with all the recommended updates.
I have Tape-a-Talk files on my Droid Turbo. Some are small. Two are large (120MB +). Those two are not showing up on the Windows Explorer window though all the other tape-a-talk files are showing up.
I just recently purchased my blackberry bold 9780, and i would have liked to use it for downloading videos, which are between 30 to 60 mb large. I'm furious at the fact that my friend who has a bold 9700 can download the entire file using his normal browser, while the same download fails on my bold 9780 halfway through it, and this happens every single time I try to download. I would have expected blackberry to atleast add a download manager in this supposedly newer and better version of the 9700, but instead it has more flaws. I would really appreciate someone from blackberry technical support to have a look at this issue and reply to me asap.

I have unlimited mobile data but I am unable to download large files, like podcasts unless I connect to Wi Fi. My settings are set to use mobile data, is there anything I can do?
When watching avi and mkv when I select to play another part of the movie the sound does not come back. I only get the video with no sound. The files are large from 700 MB to 4500 MB. Sometimes the sound comes several seconds (sometimes aprox. 10). Some files I get points of the movie that the video pauses itself. I have to fast forward a few seconds to get the movie to continue playing. I have a Nokia E7 with Belle. Are this issues normal to Belle or are caused by a bad update from Anna?
Sending an email with a 60MB attachment through gmail from my phone, Outbox has message as "sending" for over an hour, Do large files sent through gmail require connection to a wireless network or will they send through 3G?
I got the 1020 and I love it but I really wanted to play with the larger 35meg pictures but when I sync with my pc its only showing the 5 MP pictures at about 2 megs apace how do I get the large files off the camera....
With large movie files (greater than 500MB), there is audio distortion while playing during action sequences or loud volume dialog (does not occur with audio files or as far as I can tell smaller video files).
My girlfriend has the Storm 2 and I gave her about 5gb of music. Now her phone seems to be crawling. Besides removing the sd card, is there any other fix? there's a few gb of picture files too.How can I optimize her phone? I personally have a windows mobile and I treat it like a computer. I open task manager and shut down all apps not being used. I have a file explorer to move files around. Can I do the same on the Storm? I want to move the ringtones I made onto her phone, not leave it on the sd card. Also, sometimes she download files or w.e onto her phone, not the sd card. How can I remove it? the delete option doesnt come up. any advice?
Recently got the unlocked Galaxy S6 but every time I've tried to download large apps (Asphalt 8 and Monument Valley) from the Play Store I've been getting an error 905. I've erased cache and cleared data from the Play Store but it keeps doing it. Had to refund Monument Valley, in fact. I've got the 32GB version by the way. I've searched for this error but it seems to only have affected old devices where internal memory was a problem.
I solved this by keeping the screen on while downloading and installing Asphalt 8 and not using the device till it had finished installing.
For example when I receive texts that are larger than normal, it shows 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, and 5/5 sometimes more sometimes less. It's aggravating cause when you should be receiving one message, you receive several texts. And they are usually out of order so you gotta go back and forth. I am on U.S. Cellular and have a galaxy s5. My friend has a s4 on U.S. Cellular also and hers doesn't do this. I think it did this for me also on the s4 and now on the s5. Maybe I'm just missing a setting?
I have a problem after doing a reset of my phone. It is rooted and has TWRP 2.8.6.2 installed. I did a full wipe with TWRP including the internal storage.
But now, if i want to upload through TWRP's USB mount, i have to following issue. I see the internal storage on my PC when both are connected by USB, it has the TWRP folder.
I tried to upload a small text file, that went OK, then i uploaded the new ROM file and after 5-8 sec i get a popup on the PC telling me the "device has either stopped working or has been disconnected".
When i boot the phone it is stuck on the boot logo, Samsung text.
I wonder if anyone here knows how to load standard subtitles files (.srt) while playing video files (like .avi) on my SGS2. There's an idle "Subtitles" button on the bottom right of the player's menu, which I hadn't been able to use. Should I try a different one from the Android market?
Ok, to try and clarify...I have had all of the Samsung Galaxy S phones except the S5. I've moved all my photos & screen shots from them to my pc over time, generally via Kies or usb transfer. I've noticed that I have now got a huge number of .png files dated from about 2012 onwards that I can't open. Previous png files can be opened-they appear to be screenshots or the like. So I don't know what has happened. They can't be opened using any of the options on my pc. (I recently changed to Windows 10 from 8, but it was doing this prior to that) I can't re save them because they can't be opened, nor does changing the file name allow them to be opened.
I've also noticed that my current S6 makes all my screenshots .png files as well. The only way around this at the moment is to upload them to Google drive and change it to a jpeg file at the time. I have to do this for each shot one at a time. I'm assuming I can then move these across from Google drive as jpeg.
So, I need to know how to change the default on my S6 from .png to .jpeg for screen shots. How to change my previous .png files back to jpeg so I can open them! I have copied all of them to a usb stick and tried to open them on my work computer, but that also won't open them under any program. I realise that isn't an Android issue in itself, but as all of these images have come from my Galaxy S phones originally, I don't want to delete them without being able to see them as I might want to keep them...but without knowing what they are...
My s6 won't fully download emails with pdf file att. I've hit the load more button but when you try to open it comes up with warning email must be fully downloaded before att can be read .the emails can be read from my pc? ?
I have had a 64GB SD card in my Galaxy S5 for a while. Of course the capacity is actually 59GB and I have just about 56GB of files(music, pics, videos, etc.) I was recently gifted a 128 GB SD card that I've been wanting. Now,the problem is transferring all my stuff from old SD card to new one. Back when I had smaller cards from 4 even to 32GB,I could back it up to my PC hard drive. Since then,I still have the same PC/hard drive but with not enough space. What can I do?
I've ripped thousands of songs to my Windows 7 laptop. The directory structure is: Artist Name/Album/xxxxxxx.wma
I'd like to add a 128GB micro-SD card to my Galaxy S5 that will hold all my music. My phone has the 'Google Play Music' app installed but it doesn't support WMA files. The Google forum suggests I download their 'Music Manager' program for Windows. Will this work on an android phone?
Any other app that will accomplish what I want (using the above directory structure copied to the Galaxy micro-SD card)?
On my Galaxy S5 was sent a .mov video file and I found that I could not read it. So I googed for an app, and found a web site that offered 50 apps for that purpose. Which one should I use?I might also like to create .mov files.
I have several sound files that are on my smartphone, that I never use. I tested them about a year ago and just noticed that they're still there. I don't see a way to delete it from the menu. How to delete sound files?
I have a Samsung galaxy s5, sm-g900a. I installed an app "callx call recorder" and accidentally deleted the files. I need these files for a custody battle and cannot find any way to recover the deleted files. The files were stored on the device, not the sd card. The phone is encrypted, and was before the loss of the files. It is imperative that I recover these files for my case.
