View 1 RepliesI finally found a S6 with good button and display, but I think I have again bad luck: from time to time, camera is failing and is not related to low power because I encounter the issue at 80% battery level.
I tried factory reset, clear cache and data, and it comes back. But always, the camera is working after pressing Clear all in Smart Manager. If I simply kill the processes using the standard task manager, the camera shows the same error.
if it's an hardware problem, as I read online, why works after clean all operation? I have stock ROM, without root or special app(just fb, dropbox installed)

(On Samsung S5). I'm in university and I frequently record my lectures, while actively listening/taking notes. My profs will frequently draw important diagrams while explaining them, and what I do is that I type out what they're explaining and take pictures of the diagrams after they've completed them to fully understand the concepts. The problem lies is that when I try to take pictures, the voice recorder app stops recording, so I get gaps in my lectures. Is there any way possible to still be recording while I'm using my camera?

When I move the camera around it turns purple on the screen especially with video. It's also just generally slow to function and kills itself often.
I replaced my screen, the screen is no longer flush with the frame of the device either now, but I don't know if thats an issue. The people who fixed it said it wasn't an issue.
My phone is rooted and has HDandroidrevolutions on it before i sent the phone in and still has it now. I have factory reset my phone, cleared the camera cache, the phone cache, and tried turning it off and back on. Everything I've tried software wise just doesn't work. I've also tried using different camera apps, like the Google Camera.

Camera failed to launch/open, then the screen becomes blurry when camera is on. Now, managed to switch on camera but it stays on macro mode all the time, and unable to focus. I just bought this phone a few days ago. I am very excited and start playing with the camera. after a few shots and a few mode change, the phone freeze and restart. then i open the camera app again it shows only black screen and a camera failed message
i tried using other camera app but it's no use. the phone has no warranty in my country so i could not have a replacement.
been to the samsung service center also but still no luck.
When I leave the camera app, my phone is apparently accessing my camera and taking a picture. The photo isn't saved in the gallery, but then I go into the task manager, I see a photo of wherever I was when I left the camera app. Is there a way to disable this?

I've seen a few mentions of this here and there on the web, with suggestions to factory reset / wipe cache, etc. I have tried this but no luck. I don't really see a definitive answer anywhere, but see quite a few complaints about it.
What happens is the camera app crashes when trying to take slow motion video, while zoomed in, either at 120 fps or 240 fps. I haven't seen anybody else mention this specifically while zoomed in, but that's what's happening to me. If I'm in the camera app and switch to slow mo video, then zoom in, move the phone around a bit, the app freezes and crashes with a "cannot connect to camera" error 100% of the time. I don't even have to start recording, the screen just starts to get jumpy, then eventually freezes completely. It's not a random thing, I can replicate the problem over and over.
I want to use the 'sequence' image capture mode of the camera to take images at a defined time interval. If I use the sequence mode the 5800 camera shoots a series of photos fast. I want to adjust this time interval. The Nokia 5800 user manual says that this is possible by selecting the desired time interval.
