On my Galaxy S5 I have placed as many apps as possible on my SD card instead of the device. When I update apps from the Google Play Store, many of the apps revert back to the S5 instead of the SD card (according to the Application Manager). How can I force updates to go to the card instead of the device?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have installed unikernel on my g925t s6 edge regular edge. Now i need to revert to stock kernel but i can't. If i do a fresh install of the latest build OI1 from odin the flash procedure complete successfully but the phone after that wont boot because it stuck at Samsung logo powered by android. And when i go to download mode Recovery mode is Samsung official and System status is custom. I tried to factory reset with recovery but nothing.
I have also tried to fully wipe the phone with twrp but nothing. After i flash the official lastest build with odin the system status is still custom and the phone is stuck at Samsung logo. I have to flash this kernel again in order to boot the phone. But i need that phone works with stock kernel and stock system. I also did an efs folder wipe, which means i have flashed another efs with odin and after that imei said unknown. Than i have repair imei and have my phone back to function. But i cannot revert to stock...

I also use Dolphin as my browser and even if I left a page open on that and come out of the app without exiting fully that reverts back to the home screen as well. It might be grand most of the time and then at least a couple of times a week it will have reset to home page for some reason.

Now then, if i reset the device with a *#7370#, will it delete these updates as well? Not that i intend to reset my device, just curious world laughs with you. Cry, and the world laughs louder.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to support nearly 100 Blackberries (mostly the Tour), and any wireless update breaks the phones with various results: anywhere from just deleting the email sync settings (all carriers) all the way to the phone unable to make/receive calls (just T-Mobile for the lack of calling, Verizon or AT&T seem unaffected thus far). We do *not* use a BES server, however, if that's what is needed, I'm certainly willing to go there. If and when an update is needed (by our standards), I will perform them. I really don't want anything coming from Blackberry, ever. I instruct users to hide the update icon, however, they always say it eventually comes back and keeps prompting to install the update. To rid themselves of the annoyance, they do the update, break the phone, then have the greater annoyance of waiting until I can get the phone fixed.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, I saved up some cash, and am selling some stuff to get about 300-350 pounds budget for a new phone. I'm very tempted to get the N97 mini. It has good audio quality (gsmarena tests) pretty decent pictures, WiFi, GPS, qwerty keyboard and a nice screen. What does SE have to offer that will give me good music, photos and connectivity? WiFi is pretty important and a qwerty keyboard is a big plus. Another thing that stops me from spending so much money on a brand new SE is their lack of updates when it comes to fixing bugs and adding features.
I still see Nokia pumping out N95 firmwares that get new features and fixes. The SE phones I owned could've got new features but SE never bothered. Take smile shutter on the C510 for example, they could've and in my opinion should have also made an update to include the feature in it's bigger sister the C702. But they didn't. I don't want to spend 300 pounds on a device that will not receive updates and features after 6-12months.

They always had the same video player. and I loved that video player, but recently, I went on a site to watch a show and the video player had changed. Now I can't even watch my shows on that specific site anymore because the fullscreen button is doesn't appear, but it's not the site. It's the video player. On other sites I can watch videos but on this site, the fullscreen button doesn't work with this new video player. I want to factory chrome video player.
(and no I don't want to uninstall chrome updates because chrome looks horrible in it's factory version)

Not everyone likes to talk about the weather. If I want to know what the weather is today, I look into the sky.
Finally I installed Kies and connected my SGS2.
Kies gives me the message "Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies." Is this because the phone is a grey import? Bought online from and Australian dealer who shipped it to me in Australia fronm his Hong Kong warehouse.
The phone is working well so I'm in no hurry to upgrade but I will probably want to go to Ice Cream Sandwich when a final stable version is available.

I have noticed for about a month or so, when some apps update automatically (most recent was facebook this morning) my home screen wallpaper picture gets removed and the plain green backround is there.
I then have to go back into wallpaper to reset it. I am using a Samsung Galaxy5.
I have just got the Samsung Galaxy s2 on contract with a 500MB data usage. I want to make sure I switch of any automatic updates or other stuff that runs in the background that might eat up my data usage and end up costing me a fortune over the mobile network. I've been caught like this with other phones and wanted to make sure I'm not again.

Like most every Verizon subscriber who owns an Xperia play, I'm no longer able to sync with Google or pretty much anything else since the most recent update. I've tried talking to both Sony and Verizon customer support and they've both been equally useless, telling me to wait for an update which could be anywhere from a week to several months away, depending on who you talk to.Since I'd rather not wait for an update that may or may not be coming, I'd like to know if it's possible to revert back to 2.3.3, which worked just fine.
