Mar 29, 2012I am trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail account on my E7. When opening the email app for the first time I enter a new username and password. On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.
My Nokia history:2110 => 6110 => 8110 => 6310 => 2300 => 2600 => 6070 => E71 => N97 Mini => E72 => C7 => E7 => E6 => 700

Dec 8, 2011I've got a user with a Nokia E6 that's got Mail for Exchange configured on it. Mail and calendar are syncing OK but not the contactsThe user is 150 miles away and I don't have an E6 that I can play with here. I'm trying to talk her through editing the mail for exchange profile (and not having much luck). I'm sure if the phone was in front of me I'd sort it in 2 minsI've talked the user through going to Menu > Mail > Settings > Mail for Exchange > What to sync. She's telling me there's no option in there to select contactsWould anyone be able to tell me the exact button presses I'd need to check if contacts are set to sync and how to edit the Mail for Exchange profile to set them so that they do sync?

Mar 13, 2011Bought my first nokia phone for 9 days and already has several problems. Starting with what is most urgent. Already after 3-4 days disappeared suddenly able to receive mail from my hotmail account, but luckily came back later in the day! So on Friday I got an email from nokia with the text below. I have accordingly made the following (but without result).First I tried to follow the recipe that is in the mail as described below. I first went into hotmail via my computer and changed the password. Then I went into settings on the phone and changed the password there without success.Then I tried to go into the settings in the phone and reset phone to factory mode 3-4 times then use the built-in wizard to configure my hotmail account and wait for the result without success.
I receive e-mails that are written below in Norwegian every day. When I go into the e-mail on mobile phone brings up the yellow / green circle in the corner which I interpret as if everything is ok with connecting to hotmail. But that is not receiving e-mail. Anybody can help me? Preferably by using the internal e-mail program.

Sep 4, 2010I am unable to use the Hotmail ActiveSync Feature. The settings for Mail for Exchange are:
Mail: name@live.de
Username: name@live.de
Password: xxxxxxxx
Domain: [leave blank]
and then Server: m.hotmail.com
The first sync is ok. Mail for Exchange shows me my mails.
But it keeps showing the error message: "Cant sync. Please contact Administrator...". And if I try to write an E-Mail it shows me: "Can't send E-Mail".
What's wrong with the Mail for Exchange ?

May 23, 2011i have a new Nokia E7-00. I experience the calendar function to be VERY slow. It takes seconds to open, then more seconds to load the calender entries, then to move from one date to the other, even closing the function is slow. What can I do to make it respond faster?

Apr 24, 2010Is the Hotmail server down because my NM is online, but won't sync the new emails to my inbox even though I know there are new ones there. Not only is the syncing process extremely slow, but it will often go offline on its own accord. And I'm never notified of new emails in my inbox unless I manually sync it.
And the Inbox is sync enabled, I made sure I checked that before I posted anything. Has this happened to anyone else before? I've tried going offline, rebooting my phone and then starting it all up again but it still continues to do the same thing.

Sep 8, 2010I have configured my nokia E63 to sync mail with an gmail account. I have installed Mail for Exchange 3.0. I have configured mail for exchange to sync with my gmail account. I have two issues. When I configure mail for exchange, I can do an initial download of mail, calendar and contacts. However, after the initial sync when I try to do another sync a invalid credentials message appears. I don't change credentials after first sync, so credentials are correct. The second issue is that when I open a message I only see the header message, with the from address and subject but I can't see the body of the message.

Jan 28, 2012I'm using an E7 with Symbian Anna (and with all the latest, available upgrades). I purchased it 2 days ago.Somehow i managed to write an entry (?) to a specific day (30Jan2012) which makes that particular day freezed in my calendar. I can't see any entry on that day, but on the weekly view there are colored markings of my appointements and birthdays and reminders. From today the Calendar widget doesn't work on the main screen either.It is really disappointing from a business smartphone... I can see the entries of the day on my E90. If i'm searching for the birthdate of a particular person on that day in my E7, the searching application collapse as well.

I now have a challenge when I sync my phone to my calendar because somehow I end up having duplicate entries of events. The entries show up on my microsoft exchange calendar and on my personal calendar as well.

Is there anyone out there, with an E7, that does not have the problem below: "If I make a calendar entry on the E7 then sync to Outlook the new entry in the E7 calendar does not appear in Outlook. I've tried the sync with conflict resolution set to Outlook and Device (E7). Calendar entries in Outlook do appear in the E7 calendar when synced." So if you have an E7 that does sync calendar entries made in the E7 with Outlook via Ovi I'd love to know. I might then be convinced that Nokia can repair my phone.

Mar 25, 2011since I can not believe that with the market position of the e&3 Mode, that the calendar function would not be capable of setting a simple repeating date. Meeting dates are often based on a repeating cycle such as the first Tuesday of the month or 2nd Wednesday of the year, or last Friday of a quarter. I am not even looking for holidays that may have complicated calculations involved. Since the phone does not have enough memory to handle even what it is shipped with, it is not an option to use a 3rd paryt application so if someone knows how I can make the calendar feature practical to use?From functional stand point I need the repeat capability of at least setting monthly dates that rquire the same day of the week (e.g. 2nd Monday of every month)From the I can deal with it point, I would like to know how to have more control over the reminder alarm, such as a longer prewarning and the ability to not just snooze or sleep an alarm (e.g.Alarm set for 2 weeks prior, alarm sounds so I want the reminder again in several days and when that trips maybe again have it remind me an hour or so before event.

Apr 14, 2012I have tried to move my calendar items from my E63 to an E72 and it partially does this. However I noticed (quickly when inspecting) that all the entries for yesterday were not transfered to the E72.I then backed up both devices using nokia Suite (3.2.100) and tried to transfer the calendar items that way. On selecting a partial restor I observed that calendar was not an option.

Dec 23, 2011I was rudely awakened by my faithful E72 this morning, which warned me of my wife's birthday on January 1 2012 - and my brother's, sister's, niece's all on the same entirely wrong date and with 9 day's notice. I thought I had stopped Nokia Suite meddling with by phone's relationship with Outlook. Perhaps something the phone has done in collusion with Nokia Suite, but it could also be a firmware quirk? The phone has recently been updated to 081.003 and *#7230#'d twice. I am not doing that again just yet, I have work to do.Great Maps update for Denmark downloaded this week, NOT. Massive changes have been made in recent months to a major road junction west of Copenhagen, but Maps has not been changed at all. Even some free online maps have the new exits and road configuration.I am writing this here, rather than in the software sections because I can see no reason why one has to be a software expert to use a smartphone, or accept mpas with no credibility.Oh, and the phone's battery has just one flat 14 hours after a two-hour car journey with it on charge. Only use has been 5 minutes browsing, 15 mins looking at various maps. No calls, messages or e-mail.The physical battery works as a well as it have has in my 4+ year-old E61i.Does everybody have the problem with megabytes of log files created Nokia Mail in the phone memory? 081.003 (Code 0592810: Danish, English, Icelandic, Norwegian) is otherwise stable.

Oct 27, 2011I recently got myself an E7-00 after using a E71 for two years. In the E71 I often saved entries in the calendar as a Memo entry. I backed up the E71 and restored to the E7 and have all my entries back in the calender but now I find that I cannot open the memos that I saved. I am able to edit them but they then change into a regular entry. I see that I cannot choose a memo entry when I add a new entry to the calendar, so apparently this functionality was dropped for some reason.
This is very annoying as I cannot get to the info I saved now. Is there a way around this to get this type of entry back? Or at least to look at my old entries?

I have set in phone to remove calendar events older than 3 week.After 3 week from 1.6.2011 all events from that repeating meeting are deleted from phone, including events which are in future.
