I recently upgraded my BBM witch was a mistake as my phone was running OK until I did this & is now running out about 5 mins after battery pulls. Every time I use my browser it freezes up & that goes for other apps as well. I want to reinstall a smaller version of BBM as I don't need all these fancy upgrades they have just added all I need from BBM is basic IM or RIM could combine the App memory with the media memory so us Storm users can have a decent experience for a change. I keep all my media on my memory card (as I'm sure most people do) so I have 1GB of possible memory that I can use.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 5S running iOS 7.1.1, and recently (I believe just since the iOS 7.1.1 update) apps are not updating in the App Store. For example, Instagram rolled out new version 6.0.0, and if I search for "Instagram" in the App Store, the "Information" section for Instagram says that the version is "6.0.0". However, at the top where it should have the "UPDATE" button, it still just says "OPEN" like the most current version is installed. If I go open the version of Instagram I have installed, and click "About This Version", it confirms that I am using "Instagram V5.0.13", the older version of the app.Â
If I click on the "Updates" tab at the bottom, apps that have newer versions do not appear there as available to update. For example, I should have a notification that an update is available for Instagram, but I do not.Â
I'm not sure how many apps are affected, since I would have to manually go through and check the version number listed inside the app, and then check the version number in the App Store, but this is not the first time this happened. I only noticed it this time because of news stories covering the new Instagram release.Â
I only use one Apple ID on my Phone, and I have always used the United States app store, but since I've seen this listed as an issue I went through and re-selected the United States app store and re-accepted the Terms and Conditions. I have tried logging out of my Apple ID and back in through the App Store, and also through Settings > iTunes & App Store. I have tried restarting my phone, and I have also tried performing a "soft reset" (holding down Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously until the phone restarts). Nothing so far has worked.

Now I know this has been a frustration for many users. Nokia ovi maps 3.0.3 is not widely compatible with a lot of phones with exceptions being the newest models. Free navigation is not available on the older version of maps, so either free licenses need to be available on the older maps or the new version must become compatible. I know nokia have said they are working on this, but is there any timescale? I could do with having navigation on my phone a.s.a.p really.

What's up with that? I'm so disappointed. Who needs video calling when the other part of the conversation can't se me?Any thoughts? While mobile sites are nice, sometimes I need to see the real, actual site. Is there a way to force Safari to go to the real site? Some sites have a link to the real site, but others do not? I'd like it be MY choice whether I use a mobile version of site or not, but I can't currently figure out how to make Safari take me to the real site when a mobile one is available.

Eventually I got the songs downloaded to my computer, but it caused a weird error on my iPhone. It appears that the music I downloaded tried to automatically download to my iPhone but never started. The songs are just sitting there with the downloading icon next to them, but they are not downloaded. I have since syned my phone with my computer, causing these songs to become duplicates. My computer does not recognize that my phone is downloading them and I cannot delete them from either my phone or my computer. I have tried removing all of the music from my phone and resyncing it to no avail. Here is a photo of what it looks like on my iPhone: I have since purchased more music from iTunes and this problem did not occur. Also, I have tried going to the iTunes app and checking the downloads tab, but nothing appears there.

I recently had a 4S (either 5.0.1 or 5.1, definitely did not have 5.1.1) replaced. The refurb came with a version that was not 5.1.1 (it was the version that still displayed 3G on AT&T and had no lock screen camera). Upon trying to setup the refurb and load the backup from iCloud, the only option was way back from November 2011, so it clearly did not want to use the iCloud backup that was a future iOS version compared to the refurb. Now that I have restored to that November backup, and updated iOS to the latest version, I see in my iCloud backups that my latest, May 24th phone is there. So how do I restore to that? If I reset the phone completely, it will revert to an iOS version incompatible with the May backup again - right? At that point, I'm back where I started... can I somehow restore the iCloud backup without a full reset?

I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.
