Oct 10, 2011I have a Nokia E 72 with 4 push email accounts. all used to work perfectly fine.. but recently push email is not working. it shows connected to the server but inbox is empty in all 4 accounts.. it synchronizes sometimes but again goes blank.. i have vodafone mobile conect on the phone and i have reset the accounts with nokia as well as reset the phone twice. all softwares are updated and when phone is restarted it syncs for some time and again phone goes blank..

Jan 7, 2010I want a shortcut that takes me to my SMS inbox directly. Currently I have one for the messaging application, but that requires me to click "down" (to select Inbox) and then "open".I've searched around a bit and it doesn't seem possible - you can only define shortcuts for applications. But wouldn't it be possible to make an app that opens the inbox and point a shortcut to it? If such an application for S60 exists, I would appreciate if someone could link to it.Yeah, I know it's just two extra clicks the current way, but it's these kind of small things I find annoying with my new Nokia phone (a 6730 classic) - "with so many options, why can't I configure something this basic?". Well, hopefully someone has a good solution, and if not, I guess I can live with it.

Apr 8, 2011E7 would need a mechanical call disconnection button (could be programmed e.g. for on/off-button??), as the touch screen every now and then gets stuck and you're not able for example to end the call. Especially when you don't want to leave a message to a voice mail and the phone just keeps on going there's gonna be several f-words in the voice mail.

Great phone for my needs but I find the touch screen a little too sensitive that a slight brush would activate e.g the call dial pad or the options menu in the home screen. This usually happens when I try one handed operations as I try to stretch my thumb across the screen.
Does anyone know where & how to reduce the sensitivity of the touch screen so that it will only register a touch when I deliberately touch it?

I can make calls, access the menu, etc., using the keypad. Today i updated to belle refersh, now my tocuh screen doesnt register my touch in certain areas, i cant pull down the notification bar, cant scroll vertially (horizontal scroll works with jerks), the icon i click on doesnt get selected, but one above or on the side of it gets selected...pretty strange and annoying...what i did....removed memory card, restarted, checked...same thing...clean formatted the phone (without memory card...still doesnt work).

Mar 15, 2010I've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.

Jan 5, 2010So I set up my gmail account via the BIS or whatever plug-in, and all seems to be working ok. The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.

Mar 18, 2010I don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

Feb 24, 2011I have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.

Mar 2, 2011My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?
