I saw a few sync issues with third party softwares doing a search, but could not find my issue.I don't sync my mobile with any third-party software such as Microsoft Exchange or anything.But I entered birthdays an anniversaries in the contacts.For instance, I create a new contact, his name's Bob."Add detail" ; birthday, say 09/07/1990.
On my oooold Nokia 3200, tomorrow, I would have a reminder in the calendar (it would even say Bob's 20, but I saw in my search that this was no longer available)On my E71, nothing. If I entered a birthdate in the contact, maybe it means I suck at remembering the dates.If I used a downloaded App on the Ovi store, I would understand, maybe DLed apps don't have access to the contact data. But here I use the Nokia Calendar, and the Nokia contacts.Is it just me? Did I forgot to set something? Am I asking to much? (Come on, a 3200 could.
I was rudely awakened by my faithful E72 this morning, which warned me of my wife's birthday on January 1 2012 - and my brother's, sister's, niece's all on the same entirely wrong date and with 9 day's notice. I thought I had stopped Nokia Suite meddling with by phone's relationship with Outlook. Perhaps something the phone has done in collusion with Nokia Suite, but it could also be a firmware quirk? The phone has recently been updated to 081.003 and *#7230#'d twice. I am not doing that again just yet, I have work to do.Great Maps update for Denmark downloaded this week, NOT. Massive changes have been made in recent months to a major road junction west of Copenhagen, but Maps has not been changed at all. Even some free online maps have the new exits and road configuration.I am writing this here, rather than in the software sections because I can see no reason why one has to be a software expert to use a smartphone, or accept mpas with no credibility.Oh, and the phone's battery has just one flat 14 hours after a two-hour car journey with it on charge. Only use has been 5 minutes browsing, 15 mins looking at various maps. No calls, messages or e-mail.The physical battery works as a well as it have has in my 4+ year-old E61i.Does everybody have the problem with megabytes of log files created Nokia Mail in the phone memory? 081.003 (Code 0592810: Danish, English, Icelandic, Norwegian) is otherwise stable.

I have a E7 and I would like to print my calendar (I transferred on it all datas since 2005 from my first communicator and new ones everytime changed) and all my contacts.
I have no Outlook Pro but only Outlook Express
If possible I would like to simple print all agenda and calendar (no need to transfer anywhere)
I have just bought a new blackberry curve and transferred my contacts from a Sony Ericsson. Their birthday information was transferred too but this hasn't sync to my calendar or I cannot set reminders in the contacts folder.Is there a way to sort this out or an app that actually works?
My problem is that I wanto to format my phone memory because theres some major issues with my phone Ofcourse i would like to create a backup with my contacts, messages , everything When i connect my Nokia E5-00 to my laptop using Usb Cable, the nokia pc suite cannot view my messages or my contacts or any calender entries.I tried backing them up, but the problem persists, pc suite cannot back them up, but can backup other items such as notes, gallery files, sttings..i also cannot synchronise my contacts from phone to pc i tried reinstalling the Pc support on my phone, i deleted the sms, contacts and mms ds plugins and reinstalled the support, it installs succesfully , but it wouldnt solve my problemModel: nokia e5-00Software version: 101.003version date: 27-jun-2012?
I'm using a Blackberry Torch 9800 with 2 main email addresses (both gmails) being sync to it wirelessly. I created a contact from my phone (in gmail account 1) and keyed in the fields of the contacts including the birthdays. However, when I checked my calendars, the birthday entries were created under my gmail account 2 rather than my gmail account 1 which is supposed to be the case. I would like to keep my entries on gmail account 1 private as I use the other account for work purposes which is shared to a group of people.
Maybe I just noticed this, by my calendar won't show contacts birthdays. I've double checked that I'm syncing everything correctly. I've tried clearing Calendar data and Calendar Storage data, still no luck.
Hi , I need to display only Sim contacts in phone contacts option rather than contacts that are saved in memory card. According to me knowledge there is a bug in these cell phone perhaps if you have any old nokia phone you may find this option.
I have an E7 and my business details are confidential so I don't want it stored on ovi.com or any other external location, is it possible to edit the synchronisation without using Ovi?
I'm using an E7 with Symbian Anna (and with all the latest, available upgrades). I purchased it 2 days ago.Somehow i managed to write an entry (?) to a specific day (30Jan2012) which makes that particular day freezed in my calendar. I can't see any entry on that day, but on the weekly view there are colored markings of my appointements and birthdays and reminders. From today the Calendar widget doesn't work on the main screen either.It is really disappointing from a business smartphone... I can see the entries of the day on my E90. If i'm searching for the birthdate of a particular person on that day in my E7, the searching application collapse as well.
I am facing problem with my Nokia E72.when I input birthdays via my contacts, they do not appear in my calender.When I sync. My contacts via Exchange they do appear in Outlook but not on my nokia.
While browsing different dates on calendar's month view, the active day view changes back to current day itself in about every 20 sec. Can this set to disabled somehow?
I have a Nokia E7-00 which I recently updated the software to Symbian Belle (which I totally like btw). I downloaded the microsoft package as well. I now have a challenge when I sync my phone to my calendar because somehow I end up having duplicate entries of events. The entries show up on my microsoft exchange calendar and on my personal calendar as well.
I've raised this subject again as there has been no replies as yet. Is there anyone out there, with an E7, that does not have the problem below: "If I make a calendar entry on the E7 then sync to Outlook the new entry in the E7 calendar does not appear in Outlook. I've tried the sync with conflict resolution set to Outlook and Device (E7). Calendar entries in Outlook do appear in the E7 calendar when synced." So if you have an E7 that does sync calendar entries made in the E7 with Outlook via Ovi I'd love to know. I might then be convinced that Nokia can repair my phone.
since I can not believe that with the market position of the e&3 Mode, that the calendar function would not be capable of setting a simple repeating date. Meeting dates are often based on a repeating cycle such as the first Tuesday of the month or 2nd Wednesday of the year, or last Friday of a quarter. I am not even looking for holidays that may have complicated calculations involved. Since the phone does not have enough memory to handle even what it is shipped with, it is not an option to use a 3rd paryt application so if someone knows how I can make the calendar feature practical to use?From functional stand point I need the repeat capability of at least setting monthly dates that rquire the same day of the week (e.g. 2nd Monday of every month)From the I can deal with it point, I would like to know how to have more control over the reminder alarm, such as a longer prewarning and the ability to not just snooze or sleep an alarm (e.g.Alarm set for 2 weeks prior, alarm sounds so I want the reminder again in several days and when that trips maybe again have it remind me an hour or so before event.
I have tried to move my calendar items from my E63 to an E72 and it partially does this. However I noticed (quickly when inspecting) that all the entries for yesterday were not transfered to the E72.I then backed up both devices using nokia Suite (3.2.100) and tried to transfer the calendar items that way. On selecting a partial restor I observed that calendar was not an option.
So I woke up and found that my M8 annoyingly has my FB friends birthdays in the Sense 6 calendar. How do I get rid of them? I can't find any settings in the calendar or Facebook apps.
I've posted this problem earlier. My Birthdays in my Contacts, do not carry over to Google Calendar. I don't have access to a laptop to go on the Web, to use the web version of Google calendar. All advice has mentioned Gmail. I don't use Gmail for email. It's not loaded as an app, but I used to use it. Is that the reason why contact birthdays don't show on Google Calendar? I have added birthdays as a recurring event, but it annoys me that it doesn't work.
Is it possible to either download something/change settings/sync using Ovi Suite so that public holidays can be added to the calendar? There are no options when adding a new meeting that can mark it as a holiday and holidays don't sync with Microsoft Outlook.
Is there any possibility to synchronize nokia E52 build in calendar with other caldav? I'm using Thunderbird with lighting addon to sync my calendar with owncloud (caldav). But there is one piece missing - I want do the same with my E52 to have same calendar content.
I recently got myself an E7-00 after using a E71 for two years. In the E71 I often saved entries in the calendar as a Memo entry. I backed up the E71 and restored to the E7 and have all my entries back in the calender but now I find that I cannot open the memos that I saved. I am able to edit them but they then change into a regular entry. I see that I cannot choose a memo entry when I add a new entry to the calendar, so apparently this functionality was dropped for some reason.
This is very annoying as I cannot get to the info I saved now. Is there a way around this to get this type of entry back? Or at least to look at my old entries?
I have problems with repeating calendar events.I create event 1.6.2011, repeating every week for one year. I have set in phone to remove calendar events older than 3 week.After 3 week from 1.6.2011 all events from that repeating meeting are deleted from phone, including events which are in future.
I deleted the last calendar entry on my Nokia E72 phone and then my phone keeps hanging on the screensaver which says "No calendar entries for the next 22786 days". I have to remove my batteries and reset my mobile to sort this out. When I reboot the date changes to 29/12/2011 - 9:00 am.
